Dr. Jason Hogan, staff scientist, focuses on the workings of the LTQ-Orbitrap. Hogan uses the mass spectrometer to measure the masses of peptides created from an enzymatic digestion of a complex protein mixture. “We then fragment the measured peptides and use the masses of resulting fragment pieces to identify the peptide sequence and thus the protein from which it came,” Hogan said.

Hundreds of Star Wars fans and one BSG star
raise money for Cancer Research

Saturday and Sunday, March 12 & 13, Seattle SARLACC made a big impact
at Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC).

Thanks to support of SARLACC members, Arcane Comics,
comic artists, actors, and Star Wars fans alike, ECCC 2010
was the biggest sales boost of the year!

Over $700 was raised over the course of the two-day event.

Sales are very brisk!

In the first 24 hours after us announcing pins going on sale, the full amount of our operating costs was met. What this means is, all the money from sales that comes in from now on, is all going directly into the donation amount!

Great news.

Much thanks to all who have purchased pins so far! Our first batch of pins will be going out in the week following Thanksgiving, and all those who invested startup money will have their accounts settled at that same time.
