"Hey, how's it going? What are you doing here?" - "I came here to find you of course." - "Find me; how come you're looking for me?" - "Cause I need you to meet someone. -- And there is he, come on." I am whisked away by my buddy who is leading me behind a tall gentleman that has two massive body guards so all I can see is his head over the body guards shoulders that strike a remarkable resemblance to the Great Wall of China. Kidding, they were massive though...

The head of the man they are guarding has white curly hair in some sort of up-do. It's not so much long as it is thick, brittle, and brick like. Similar to what Kid wore but this guy's was a little shorter and the sides were flaring as well. We get to the top of the stairs finally and he's in the corner, yelling, laughing, screaming, crying, and then he turns around yelling..."I feel like I'm taking crazy pills"...and then I wake...

I sat there watching and seeing how this woman went on numerous dates with all these guys and couldn't help think to myself, huh, I doubt this is an ideal way to find the person of your dreams. I mean it's not hard to fall in love when you are in Tahiti with someone, or walking around historic Turkey, or Portugal, or Italy. So, true to sarvelosheous form, I decided to google the success rate of the bachelor/bachelorette marriages, and came up with the whopping number of 1 out of 17 that are still married. The 1, by the way, is rumored to being on the outs...

Let's just break this down shall we. One girl(guy) goes on dates with a group of 25 men(women) and in 8 weeks between so many destinations is able to find the one they are meant to be with. Sign me the fuck up. No definitely don't. So what gives? What's the purpose of this show besides good looking people moving on, the fair looking people being ousted, and the final rose being handed out only to have it's petals wilt away like that in beauty and the beast...it's simple...vanity...no wonder it's hard to keep these marriages afloat when your entire relationship was based on 8 weeks of knowing each other, selecting the best looking one of the bunch and traveling the world together - who can sustain that.

Moral: Vanity killed the one woman in Seven, yet, it's destroying the way we continue to perceive how things should be...

Stop wasting your time (with being vain) and just keep dancin' to Culture Beat's Mr. Vain

As much as I love coffee, the smell, the taste, the social aspect, I've given it up cold turkey for the past 18 days. I didn't set out to do this, in a way I did though. I forgot to get my usual afternoon social time coffee one Friday afternoon because I was driving. I forgot to get it all weekend because I was having fun, and with no withdrawal headaches I decided to see how long I could put this off.

The interesting thing that I've noticed with this experiment is that I am sleeping heavier and have more energy throughout the course of the day. I am still sleeping the same number of hours, however the quality of the sleep is there now. Not only that, but I'm thinking that since coffee is a natural laxative, and that it dehydrates you, the drug was removing essential vitamins and minerals that I needed to give me energy. I'm not saying quit cold turkey...but if you can give it a shot for a few weeks you'll likely feel the difference I did...

No, I won't be going down that road, not today. With a rubber match to come in this generations Celtics-Lakers rivalry, my shit talking won't take place until after that third series is played out. In the meantime I've focused my athletic watching efforts to the World Cup in South Africa where many disappointments (like Italy and France not getting by the group round) has shocked a great many fans, both of the teams and of soccer in general...

The problem once again lies with the question of how efficient the referees for the matches are, when such trivial calls like a goal scored are mis-called and teams play with deflated emotion. The WC has taken a lot out of all these teams, especially the teams currently still in the hunt, but it's a difficult blow to any players psyche when calls are effectively keeping their team out of the next round. I heard FIFA may give in and bend to using some technology in order to identify whether or not goals are scored, and although it would slow the game down a little, i think the fairest (especially in world level games like this) solution would be to institute this technology and make sure to get those calls right at least...

Moral: Be far superior than the competition, this way refs can't control the outcome of the game...

Then you turn around and call this tic tac fouls on the Celtics, something like 16 foul shots by the time there was 4 minutes left. The game was practically handed over, plus it didn't hurt that Ray was missing bucket after bucket. Am I frustrated, yes, because the games shouldn't be decided with 20 extra foul shots, i'm also frustrated because our original starting 5 wasn't out there...but I can say that they never beat our starting 5! BITCHES!

If you haven't noticed, I'm bitter. I'm angry that the Celtics who played a terrific game 5, minding the turnovers, came here with swagger and let go of a game because they were up 3-2 in the series. That bothers me. I really had high hopes that the veteran Celts, tasting blood, were going to go in like sharks for the kill. Not miss layups, open looks, elbow jumpers, and play without any ferocity.

To top it off Perkins future is uncertain now for game 7, so my enthusiasm for the upcoming game has lost some air. I'm still confident in Doc's ability to coach given circumstances and I'm sure he will be ready, however, this series, along with the 2004 red sox, have taken a collective 42 months off of my life. It's also fair to say that the David Stern, quoted for saying his ideal finals would be LAKERS VS LAKERS, got what he wanted (with the help of refs), so don't you lakers fans talk shit, you fuckin know game 1 and game 3 were handed over to the lakers. If you call bullshit I will sit down with you and go over games 1 and 3 foul for foul - replay for replay...so suck deez nuts while you keep routing your weasel on!

Already with withdrawals two days into an accidental cleansing I made a decision right there to not have coffee for a good while. This happened to me years ago when I was drinking DD's small black coffees and tried to ween off them. I had the nastiest most splitting headaches for a good week. Not as intense (probably because I switched to Starbucks) I find myself in a similar situation now, however the headaches aren't quite splitting my head in 3-5 pieces.

I'm not going to make promises like I did with the working out for 60 days straight (cause I blanked on that) but I am on day 5 with no coffee. I am taking a step to remove caffeine out of my diet. It has already been difficult with the headaches creeping at my regular coffee break time. Not sure what I'm going to do now that I won't be having coffee, will I still go for the coffee run and not get it? Like i said it's going to be a challenge, so maybe for now I'll go for the runs. Until then, I'll deal with the pain....

I've gone over that bridge a fair amount of times and every time it's the same thing. I get to about a mile from the foot of the bridge and end up having to sit in probably a half hour to an hour of traffic just to get over the fucking thing. You may say to yourself, take the tap, sarvosh?! Well, the tap is out of the fucking way! Well, it is and it isn't. The amount of time I sit in traffic is the same amount of time I would have to drive around to get to the tap.

You could argue that I would gain gas miles by not sitting in traffic, and you would be right, but I made that argument so you have no say in the matter now do you :-P. Well, I have found a greasier way around the monstrosity! I take a couple different routes now that lead me to the foot of the bridge without ever seeing 95! FUCK 95!

He starts with a world house track and then moves to a Brazilian tune, and then a progressive house track, then into French house and on and on and on. The man brings the world to you in a hundred and twenty minutes of pure fun. I can already see myself dancing in the seat of my car as I drive down the Merritt Parkway getting ready to get my dance on at the wedding...

In true Eddy K fashion he brings his talent to the stage once again with a sound that only the swagger of an experienced DJ can pitch to the masses. If you haven't started playing the session while reading the rest of the post today you've done yourself an injustice and offended me. Don't be obtuse, click the link and enjoy the sounds coming from the finely greased wheels of steel!

Yes, the celtics have beat the shit out of the lakers 9 out of 11 times they have met in the finals, but the new breed green has only met purple and gold once technically, and won. So if the fakers from LA do manage to win this series, the rubber series will be next year. Until then, the NBA will continue to pay it's officials to miss calls for one team or the other until game 7, where I presume it is going to be an all out brawl (not in the literal sense) until the last second ticks off.

Don't get me wrong, I am still claiming the celts win in 6, but that's the part of me that has some hope the NBA hasn't turned into the WWE (previously known as the WWF) where the refs know the outcome before the wrestlers themselves. We all know the blemish free past that the NBA has had with their officiating (scoff) but I still want to believe that games are officiated fairly. I'm no sore loser, if I lose I lose, but I want to lose fair, not to technicalities, and definitely not to missed illegal screens and phantom pushes...
The man who laughs, spokes, speaks, drinks and brings a very good bottle of wine over his friend's house for dinner.

The man is is Jose Mourinho! Manager of Real Madrid, proprietor of greasiness. He is passionate as he is slutty with his salt and pepper hair. Having a resume as impressive as Phil Jackson's, Mourinho made a leap from small time to the prime time and hasn't looked back since. From Barcelona to Chelsea to Real Madrid he is one of the most animated coaches...

He asks that his words are written and not what reporters chop up. He welcomes punishment. He dances with fire! My good friend the Irishman provided me with the following video clip to get me going for the start of the world cup. The man exudes grease, as does Mike T! You can't deny the greasiness, embrace it as you embrace your child!

However, in the words of DJ Kool - Let me clear my throat! The past few months working with one of the greasiest crews in SW, we managed to pull together a magnificent weekend. With minor speed bumps along the way, what seemed to start off as a slightly rocky weekend due to hotel concerns my crew and I turned out a problem free weekend for 450 plus participants, and hopefully some procreation (later in life of course, greasy, yes), but for many this weekend is where someone found their husband or wife.

I'd like to thank everyone, especially for those who provided assertive suggestions for coming years, for their participation, for their help, and mainly for their enthusiasm to attend a weekend unlike others they have attended in the past. It had the air of a more mature crowd but I had the sense that when the participants arrived, a waft or two of that impression we sought to provide was without a doubt absorbed with full gratitude. Made all those long nights and hick-ups worthwhile.
I feel some sort of explanation is due for the unannounced sabbatical, as I've been asked from some old readers when I would post again. I wasn't planning on taking so much time off but alas, due to some commitments that are now off my plate I am back to write on a regular.

It wasn't an easy three months. Have had a lot of good things happen which took a great deal of work; late nights, Chinese food, and some Dos Equis helped keep my eye on the prize. Did a lot of thinking, some reading, and a not as much dancing as I would have liked but things have become a bit clearer for me now.

I've decided to take the challenge on of going back to school to take a couple classes. Applying for what is a fairly difficult program at a school not far from my home. It's going to be demanding but I feel that I am up for the challenge now that I have refined some of my life goals renewing a passion deep within me.

Moral: Sometimes doing something simple and repetitive provides one with the unintentional time to clear stale thoughts, synonymous with opening a window after your grandfather let's out his fermented masterpiece...
Not as funky but it is still funky and it is still house and it still does make me want to get fired up and dance. This long week has come to a close and it's going to be a long weekend. Got a few church obligations, some more work, smoking cigars, and watching dvds. It does get aggressive at times...

Not only that, i've got to check my fire alarms, vacuum the house, maybe go to linens and things if I have time...i do need new bed sheets...never mind I got some under my feet right now...i knew i didn't have a real foot stool...the only thing is now i have to go to linens and things to get myself a foot rest...

Nevermind - I'm off to eat a one pound burger and prepare for an amazing weekend....

I've woken up at an un-Godly hour for the second day in a row and it's starting to take it's toll on me. As promised I will focus on my workout routine which I was speaking with my boy @ about and he forwarded me some relevant information and motivation in order to get myself kick started again...

Now the trick isn't to over do it but I like to do it over easy like my eggs, and get things done quickly. The only problem is the complete dedication that it requires from me, who has been disinterested in becoming healthier, and thoroughly focused on becoming greasier...

I sat there kicking the shit out of tekken 6 drinking soda and eating junk food. Hours earlier I had eaten a half rotisserie chicken with baked zucchini and mac & cheese...don't forget the bread stuffing, and top it off with the greasiest of greasy gravy - and I was in heaven. The food was melting in my mouth, the end was in sight before I began...

The plate devoured before any portion of it got cold and I had room for more. There have been times, I must admit, that my eyes have been hungrier than my stomach, but this was not one of those times. I woke up the next morning and ate 4 eggs over easy with home fries, toast and bacon, just because I could...now here we are, Wednesday...hump day...but I've got a 12 week plan ahead...and this time I won't cave (it's only 3 months)...

Music for serenity. Music for reflection. Music for freedom of the mind and soul. I listen to this to calm the thoughts that run through my mind at the outrageous speeds that they run. The thoughts that usually start in the rear and proceed to smash against my forehead at times of nonsense and things of that nature.

When my schedule gets loaded with meetings and I feel as though things come from all angles, relentless in attack, I turn to classical music to remove the plaque that stains my mind as it isn't worth it. It's not worth it, I remind myself. It's not worth it. Even when it is worth it, it's not worth it. I'm not curing cancer, just trying to make things work efficiently and seamlessly.

The lack of efficacy in the day to day is the human comedy. If everything was always smooth we wouldn't have joy, because we wouldn't have pain to gauge it off of. Vis-a-vis the yin-yang symbol; you need a little yin to your yang, and vice versa...but how do you maximize the one you'd like to have more of...

I start watching it and I hadn't heard one swear 10 minutes into the movie...I was shocked at first and then convinced myself that it had been so long since I'd seen the film, that I was imaging the swears left and right. Then 20 minutes into the film I realized that I had selected the film from the TNT section of the on demand menu...

There is no reason in the world that even though TNT has the film uploaded that they should remove the swears from their films. It adds definition to the characters when they let go and say what they will. It totally ruins the movie (for me at least) when you have dick or jane try to mimic the pitch and tone of the word by the person acting in order to remove the swear...

So I went off to my meeting after eating and about two hours later we finished up. I decided to throw on my Pandora and listen to the Bob Sinclar channel I created. Then I decided to pull out the deck of cards and go through my pushup routine (you remember the 430 within an hour). I pulled the deck out and went through the first 90 without a problem.

Then I thought to myself - let me do some squat thrusts. Now, I haven't done squat thrusts since the third grade. Really - I'm not fucking around here. I flipped over 4 cards and came out with 33 reps. No problem, right? Right? WRONG! By the time I got to 23 I was coming up like an old man who was getting off his donut he uses for his hemroids. I, greasers and greasettes, finished the 33 and from then on decided to pull only two cards at a time for the squat thrusts...

and dance til the sun rise.....i can't help it - i'm going to dance through life...and this brings me to today's lesson on being greasy without being greasy...I was taking a shower after I had watched a fantastic movie full of blood and guts and gore and action...the film - Ninja Assassin...

Predictable, yes, if you were looking for the clues, however very entertaining for blood lovers, exceptionally entertaining for martial arts lovers, and overall a fair story with deep insightful thoughts by the master Ninja, although a bit cryptic and eerie at some times...the main thing I took away from the film was that my ass needed to train much harder...

fast forward now to me taking a shower and thinking to myself about training on rooftops in the rain going balls out. This isn't a movie but the training of a martial artist that I know of. The man works as a perfume salesman and once he is done he works out on rooftops after helping people with their illnesses. Renaissance man - definitely...and he gets 4 hours of sleep a night - which is all he needs - he dances to the sun rise by training...

I can't begin to tell you my disdain for monsoon like rain. Yes, we need rain, so droughts don't occur but I felt like it was about time to build a fuckin arc. I couldn't walk without being ankle high in water - doesn't help that I'm short though...now I don't really hate rain, I like it when it's warm out - the white noise is relaxing and you have an hour or two or three where you can just watch it and be mindless...

However, I got to the point where I really wanted to punch the rain because it was incessant! I've never wanted to hit anything so badly in my life to be honest. I was thinking of opening up my trash can - letting the rain collect and beating the snot out of it just cause. But alas, I realized I was thinking like a lunatic; cold flooding rain tends to get to me - especially when I'm watching dirty rotten scoundrels and need to leave to change a tire in it...
I know I try to keep it for Friday's with the house music but I figured to start the week off on the right foot - then the left - then the right - then bouncing - then hopping - moving your hands around - up and down - left and right....

Get the blood pumping people - it's a wonderful world and you're here to experience all that it has to give...even with the ups and downs this is still a wonderful world...I mean I was at work this past Saturday morning til 2am (got in at 9am on Friday morning)...and I kept listening to this song

Well the CD but you get my point - it got some pep in my step to keep me working well longer than I should have - also helped that I had the Kuerig to get my coffee on ;-)...so just imagine the endless possibilities that are available to you with positive thoughts...
