Texture & Tone

2012-02-06T10:08:00.000-08:00

This past weekend had a bit of a wintery feel to it even though it's technically still summer. It was rainy and damp and I was inspired by all the greens and blues (my favorite) and the lovely light once it stopped raining to take some quick photos and actually post them for a change.

Album Cover Shoot

I recently did an awesome shoot for a local Jazz band, Take Note. They have just released an album called 'Rear Window' and I shot the cover image for them in between all the crazy weather we've been having lately. Luckily, one Saturday afternoon at the end of last month, It cleared up just enough for us to do this.

Winter Mood (and Fashion shoots)

2011-04-06T01:05:00.000-07:00

In the last few days a crisp winter mood has been around, it's still warm but I can feel it's on it's way.
Fittingly, I am doing a shoot for the Lovely Carmen of Lipstick 'n Lovebats clothing in the next couple of days. She's designed her winter range which is going to be in a fashion show next weekend and we've been planning a studio shoot to coincide. A bit of winter inspiration for me. exciting! I will be posting a few looks here when we're done.

Apologies, I have been very bad at cataloging my downloads, credits will be added when I find my notes, most images are from tumblr.com - anonymous posting, as well as photographs by Javier Valhonrat, Arthur Elogort I think and a whole lot of look books which i will have to check photographer wise, let me know if any of these are your images and I will gladly credit, I am not claiming any of these photographs as my own.

Enjoy the fashion overload.

Nobuhiro Nakanishi - Time + Space

2010-12-19T00:21:00.000-08:00

I came across this amazing artist this morning...Nobuhiro Nakanishi says that by capturing spatial change and the infinite flow of time, he strives to produce art that creates movement between the artwork itself and the viewer's experience of the artwork.

You can see more photos of his installation HERE as well as his website HERE.
