Watch the video of Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Katherine, bidding her father goodbye.

It will genuinely touch your hearts, the way the little girl said that she just wants to tell her father how much she loves him. I really cried while watching this video. It is truly hard to lose a parent. Much more when you’ve known only one parent your whole life and have spent every waking moment with him/her. This is true in the case of Michael Jackson’s kids. They’ve been with him all the time, homeschooled, traveling to different places with him. I am sure the kids will have a tough time recovering from this tragedy. But with the help of those who really care for them (hopefully), they’ll weather this through.

Did you watch the Michael Jackson Staples Center memorial? It was live last night at ABS-CBN and other cable channels (CNN and Fox, I think). I wasn’t able to watch because I was already sleepy. But you can watch the videos and read about it at CNN.com.

I don’t do that when I drop as well. If I don’t feel like leaving a comment, then I don’t. There are topics that I cannot relate to. There are blog posts that seem already complete to me that I feel like leaving a comment will ruin it somehow. There are entries that move me but not enough for me to comment on it. Or there are days when I only have enough time to drop and do nothing else because I have more important things to do online. I am sure other bloggers feel the same way, have the same reasons for not leaving comments.

So it is really surprising to find out about EC’s new algorithm that they will be implementing soon. Why force me (and you) to comment or do something else within another’s blog just to earn a credit? I do believe that it is the blogger’s responsibility to entice another’s curiosity or earn their interest enough for them to become regular readers. If you do not want a high bounce rate (which I assume is the issue being addressed by EC’s Graham), then stop joining EC! The program is actually designed for a “drop and run” style. And now to remedy that, we are being forced to comment and participate in another’s blog just to earn a credit.

Regardless of how little you have, you need to be able to clearly define to whom it will be given once you are gone. It is better to be prepared for any eventuality so that the ones you will leave behind won’t have a hard time determining which is which and to whom it will be. Or worst, fight for the biggest chunk they can get from your estate.

This talk about a last will reminded me of a neighbor’s large family that he left behind. His children fought like dogs out for a large bone once he was buried. They were fighting for the house. It was determined later on that he left a last will stating that his house will be subdivided between his children and that should they continue to fight for sole possession of the house, it will be turned over to a relative that took care of him while he’s sick. That settled the issue.

Lesson learned: It doesn’t matter when you will die, or how much you will leave behind. Make sure you have a last will and testament that you will leave that clearly defines the division of your estate.

She’s suffering from stage four colon cancer. There are complications related to the cancer already and a 9-day prayer mass is being offered for her recovery.

Let’s all say a prayer for the former president. I pray that she won’t suffer anymore and will get to spend more time with her family.

Even if we are not related to a person, when we hear about his death, we feel the loss as much as his love ones. That’s what happened to me when I heard about Michael Jackson’s death. Yes, the guy was a weirdo when he was still living. He’s done some shady things. But we cannot deny the fact that he’s done so much for so many people through his music. He was and will forever be a music legend.

The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, was officially pronounced dead on Thursday, June 25. He was 50.

Rest in peace.

  • There will be NO CLASSES today, June 24, for pre-schoolers and all levels of elementary and high school because of the Signal No. 2 PAGASA hoisted over the National Capital Region due to tropical storm Feria. Rain has been pouring since afternoon yesterday and has caused floods in certain areas in Metro Manila and the provinces. Stay tuned because PAGASA might up the signal to two and that would mean no classes up to the high school level. (UPDATED, Source)

    • On a related note, there will be no classes in Manila schools because it’s Araw ng Maynila today, June 24.

    • The number of victims of the Influenza A(H1N1) virus is closing in on the 500 mark. Several schools have suspended classes due to reported cases of the virus. Even my alma mater, University of Santo Tomas (UST), has suspended classes to quarantine the Saint Martin de Porres Building (or the Main Building to students). A student from the College of Medicine and Surgery tested positive for A(H1N1).

    Take care everyone. With the storm and the A(H1N1), we are all prone to getting sick. Drink your vitamins and boost your immune system. I believe that’s the best defense we have against the virus spreading around.

Permanently! The service is BAD! If you are thinking of getting their services, please don’t. Ask someone from your neighborhood if they are subscribed to the same service and ask them if they are satisfied with it. If yes, then try getting their services. But don’t say I didn’t warn you. They can’t give you a decent internet speed, even in the wee hours of the morning when there are only a few of you using their service.

    I’ve emailed them, called them up, to complain about the speed. But it’s still the same. I tried them for a couple of months. And I tell you, I haven’t gotten a break from them! Always the same below 200kbps speed. Imagine that! I should have just gotten a dial-up connection! Cheaper and there are times when the connection becomes faster. Also, you should know that they don’t have a 24/7 customer service representative on standby. Oh, they will tell you they have. But believe me, your fingers will get numb from dialing their numbers again and again and it will only ring and ring and ring.

    I don’t know why you can’t get a decent service from these internet service providers. Or is it just my rotten luck that I get to subscribe to these rotten DSL companies? Probably both!
