It was said that we were supposed to get a nor'easter last night into today and tonight. That nor'easter turned out to be just a plain old rainy day, which I won't complain about! Some snow before March would be nice, but I don't want to have to worry about 11 feet of snow above my mailbox this year.

So I've turned on some Ella Fitzgerald, lit a candle or two, and am trying to enjoy a morning

Ravelry Round-Up

It's been a while, and I've got a bunch of things queued up in my favorites!

I'll be honest: I tried the bag more than a year ago and got frustrated with it, but I realize why I gave up now: I never understood the point of pressing

The Storm

This is a very late post about Snowpocalypse 2011, but there hasn't been any substantial snowfall since the storm, and I thought it was worth keeping record of.

While in New Hampshire, I discovered a wool and angora sweater that would fit a small child, but somehow, putting this beautiful sweater on a small child seemed silly. Little Birds by Ysolda Teaguephoto © Caroline Bergeron Isn't this just the cutest little sweater? And the fit looks so flattering! I love the wrap-around style and that long, double-buttoned ribbed cuff. For a fine-waisted woman, this would

Thrift store finds!

While we were up in New Hampshire to visit family, we found a new Salvation Army that recently opened up. This time around, I found a vintage weekender suitcase ("Travel Joy" is the brand, it seems) that was covered in state stickers and had gotten beaten up and dirty over the years.
