Hi y`all I'm Eve!
I'm a wife of 6 years to my high school LOVER & best friend Tim DeLoach. I'm a stay at home mom of 16 month old boy/girl twins Zane & Skyler. I was the least crafty person I knew until I had my daughter Skyler...She inspired me to make things...not to mention all the spare time I had being a stay at home mama & not working! I wanted to find a way to keep myself busy, earn some extra money and make something Skyler and I could both wear...so Chic Headband was created!
I am a busy bee, I love to work out, roll around on the floor with my hubby and twins and snuggle up next to them while watching some Yo Gabba Gabba!

I make headbands for all ages, one size fits newborn-adult.
I love doing custom orders, I can trade out the flower and leaves for any color combination, anything you can think up I can make! My headbands stand out among all of my competitors because my handmade flowers actually look like flowers! They`re not flat flowers, they stick out and actually give the flower a 3D look while attached to the headband. With the fun Chic color choices Ive done you will definitively find one that is perfect for you! You will love them! I also make Chic Cuffs. Each Chic Cuff has a fabric flower and leaves on it. I make cuffs for toddlers-adults! Check them out!

I have been SOOOO excited to make this one! I found this on pinterest a couple of weeks ago and just KNEW that I had to make one for myself! I absolutely love it! Although we didn't actually make this sign out of pallets, that would work perfect too. We bought cheap wood fence slats at Home Depot. We bought six of them for $10... can't beat that! (this is my husband's hairy arm, not mine! LOL)

We cut them each at 35" long. I wanted this thing B.I.G. The final sign ended up being 35" long by 33" tall.

then we cut two extra pieces to brace the pieces and hold the whole thing together. We laid the whole thing out before we started nailing.

We used these AWESOME nails that have little ridges on them, so they are sure to hold.

Then we started nailing this puppy together! :)

It went super fast and was way easy to put it together!

I cut my vinyl lettering and weeded it the opposite way than normal, taking out the letters and leaving the sheet.

It doesn't look pretty at this point, but it WILL!! The vinyl acts as a stencil, so it doesn't matter what color vinyl you use because it's going to come off anyway.

Just make sure that there are NO open edges on the board, and then spray paint away!

After your paint has dried, carefully take off the vinyl sheet exposing your wording. It's like Christmas!

easy as 1,2,3

Next, I wanted to give it a sanded look so I lightly sanded over the entire project. You can see that the word "love" hasn't been sanded yet. BIG difference...

I LOVE the distressed look... so then I added some stain too!

I really do LOVE the way it turned out!

I was originally going to title this post "heart attack!" I didn't want to scare anyone by them thinking that someone was actually dying, so I went with a different title instead. But I do want to share with you WHAT a "heart attack" is... to us anyway! A heart attack is something that we do on a regular basis in Young Women's! We cut out TONS of hearts and go around to different homes "HEART attacking" them or sticking the hearts everywhere on the front of their house. Sometime we write love notes on the front of each heart. The girls LOVE to do this and the recipient is happy the next morning when she wakes up to find the front of her house covered in hearts. Because we LOVE hearts so much, I've decided to dedicate an entire Valentine's Day to post to them. This post is full of ideas and crafts perfect for the people you LOVE!

Find Joy in the Journey

Here is my weekly PINspiration

I LOVE this quote! I was able to teach my Laurel class the lesson called "Finding Joy Now". I wanted to create a centerpiece for my table and knew this quote would be perfect! Well let me tell you, this little board has had quite the JOURNEY! To create the final look, I ended up changing the whole thing about 4 times to get it just perfect! Here's the story...
It all started with this cute little cabinet front that I found at Goodwill on half off day!

The total price was $2.00 so I couldn't pass it up! The glass front is perfect and it was just calling for some vinyl lettering to be added to it.

First, I stained the front. I thought it would be cute to keep it white and just add a little stain. I found two pieces of scrapbook paper that I thought would work good for the back.

I created my vinyl lettering for it. I thought the yellow was cute, it was wasn't "perfect".

The black and white polka dot paper is adorable, just not the right fit with the black lettering.

Then I found this SASSY fabric in my collection. I thought it would be cute to add the flowers around the edges of the frame. But of course I would need to paint the frame black.

After the black paint dried, I cut out the flowers individually from the fabric so I could place them all around the frame. I love the 3D look it gives it!

Then, with the frame being black and the lettering black, I knew it needed some softer scrapbook paper for the back. I found this blue and gold piece that is perfect!

I totally LOVE the way it turned out! And all for just about $3.00.

It looked great on an easel for my lesson. I wish I would have taken a picture at church with my table decorated... UGH! At the end of my lesson, we talked about how JOY is a CHOICE. It is up to US to decide if we will be happy today. One of my most favorite quotes from the lesson was this quote by Harold B. Lee -“Happiness does not depend on what happens outside of you but on what happens inside of you”. I made each girl a vinyl lettering to stick to their mirror to remind them that they are BEAUTIFUL! But the message isn't just that they are beautiful. It's to remind them to be HAPPY with and have JOY in who they are and THAT makes them beautiful!

Disneyland Savings

Made By Me Monday{pinterest inspired}

________________________I have been begging my husband to take our family to Disneyland for a couple of days. It always feels like right when we start saving and have a good amount in the bank, there always seems to be something else to spend our savings on... home repairs, car problems, the normal "life" stuff. So, I've come up with a PLAN! I am going to start my own Disneyland Bank. I am going to save up all of the extra dollars that I find in the bottom of my purse, in the dryer, and that I find floating around in the cars. THIS was my inspiration: ________________I found this jar at Goodwill on a Saturday half-off day! The Goodwill worker hadn't even put it on the shelf yet, I snagged it right from her loading cart! The lid was completely rusted, so I just decided it just needed a good coat of spray paint.

I cut my vinyl in the shape of .... MICKEY, who else! :) We are calling our little bank DISNEY DOLLARS!

I put my vinyl on and polka dotted some extra Mickey ears to add around my jar.

I add some ribbon to the top.

That's It!

I LOVE it!! It may take us some time to save up, but at least this is a start! Disneyland, HERE WE COME!!
