Satanic Hell #3 is out! 29 pages of killer art and story for $0.99. It’s available on PDF using Gumroad, an easy and safe way to download. You can also find it on Graphicly and DriveThruComics. There are no plans to release it on Kindle Fire and Apple iTunes at this time due to the cost. The PDF is easy to read on mobile devices and there are several comic apps available to read them. If you have not read the whole series yet, you can download all three PDFs for a discount at $1.75.

Its took awhile for Satanic Hell #3 to come out due to various reasons. We wanted to find a letterer to free Kevin up so that he could focus on the art. Our first letterer did not work out and but our second one, E.T. Dollman, is awesome. He’ll be lettering the rest of the series. We appreciate your patience. Future issues will be out on time – issue #4 is being colored right now and issue #5 is being penciled. Satanic Hell #4 comes out in March 2013.

Thanks for supporting Satanic Hell. Let us know what you think!

Blogger, metalhead and comic fan, the Impaler Speaks, takes a peak at Satanic Hell and loves it!

On Satanic Hell #1: “The story by Grigoris Douros is compelling, the art by Kevin Enhart and Newel Anderson strikes a nice balance between classic and modern, and the coloring by Jimmy Kerast makes the whole thing pop like the light show at a Cradle Of Filth concert. Throw in a super-cool cover – with a creepy, ‘Sandman’-influenced feel – created by all three visual artists working together, and the end result is a must-have comic, for comics fans and for metal fans alike.”

On Satanic Hell #2: “As in the first issue, the story by Grigoris Douros is worth the cover price…all on its own, while the artwork by Kevin Enhart and coloring by Jimmy Kerast fully seals the deal. I like metal. I like comics. I don’t like having to wait for the rest of the initially-planned seven-issue series to come out in six-week intervals – I want to see what happens to Satanic Hell next!”

Adam Cheal from Comic Booked has checked out Satanic Hell #2 and he digs it!

“The artwork by Kevin Enhart is on par and has a great continuity with the first issue. Once again the coloring by Jimmy Kerast is a real winner and the outdoor sunshine effects add a real feeling of heat and grime to the pages. The writing by Grigoris Douros is good and seeing as the book starts to set its own story and tone now, it is much easier to get a feel for Douros’ overall writing style. I really like the fact that the content is controversial and Douros portrays what he wants without feeling the need to tiptoe around being politically correct or offending people. Overall, issue two of Satanic Hell is a worthy chapter and I’m looking forward to seeing what issue three has in store.”

Comicvixen, writer for Plugged in Culture, discovered Satanic Hell online and became a big fan. She contacted me about doing an interview and here it is! In her own words:

“I stumbled upon this comic the way I do most of my independent comics, late at night and on Twitter. I immediately became intrigued with the first issue and purchased the second one because I needed to know where the story was going. I’d like to say I’m patiently waiting for the third one to be released but having been only a mere 5 days since I read the second issue, patient is not the word. I am ready!”

The interview covers the origins of Satanic Hell, the characters, some personal background and what’s coming next. Check out Comicvixen’s interview with me at Plugged in Culture.

The preeminent British sci-fi magazine Starburst rated the second issue of Satanic Hell a 7 out of 10 stars. Not too shabby. Its great to see that the story continues to resonate amongst multiple readers.

“Satanic Hell makes for an interesting read. Despite the fact that not much at all happens within this second issue, it does a good job in world and atmosphere building. It feels like a horror comic even though no overt horror is ever shown. The art, by Kevin Enhart and Jimmy Kerast is similar to Ben Templesmith’s work in 30 Days of Night, particularly in the colouring.

I didn’t read the previous issue, nor did I know anything about the comic before I clicked open the first page, but this second instalment had me hooked enough to seek out both the first and any subsequent issues. There’s room for improvement – in this case, turning the dial up to eleven might not do anyone any harm – but Satanic Hell is funky enough to have you tapping your foot along to the groove.”

Don’t worry, it hits eleven. Maybe even 12.
