PPSMI: Kerajaan cuma tangguhkan pemansuhan bukan mansuhkan terus - Pak Samad

- mns-HarakahDaily.Net-

Baby of 80's

2009-06-21T00:45:00.002+08:00

Signs to show that you are an 80-s baby:

we grew up watching Transformers,
Thundercats, Woody Woodpecker,
Chipmunks, Mickey Mouse, Jem, Mask,
Ninja Turtles, Voltron, Baja Hitam,
Ultraman n not forgettin POWER RANGERS
n BUGS BUNNY!!!

had to brush our teeths during recess
at primary school? had to hold plastic
cups, line up with your classmates side
by side and start brushing our teeths
at some open area... or maybe near some
drain??

do you still remember that we had
'dentist' rooms where we had to have
our
teeths check?

not to forget our 'program minum susu'
in primary school.. everybody is
suppose
to buy like cartons of milk that
costed 30 cents each.. and you would
see
everyone drinking it everyday...
its d
UHT milk...

the teachers who would want to punish
us must use yellow rulers to hit us on
our palms?? 1 metre length..

that a bowl of mihun soup or some soup
only costed 50 cents at the school
canteen...

went to some sundry shop near the
school or to the 'roti' man waiting
outside our schools so that we can buy
junk food like chickedees, mamee, ding
dang with some toys in it, 'Ti Kam',
ice-cream and we would play games like
monopoly, uno, old maid, and all other
card games like that...

another fun time would be during
Pendidikan Jasmani. the boys would
play football while the girls would
play netball... and it would be like we
were playing in the world cup...

but of course. the best would be main
guli, batu seremban, bottlecaps, ice-
cream sticks, 'Pepsi Cola one-two-
three', Cops and Robbers, main aci
duduk,getah... and for the not so
active, those kind of 'book games'
where
we would use buku latihan to draw and
ask our friends to play... and also dot
(titik) where its like conquering the
other party's dots? we use brains too
rite :D

do you remember the popsicles (ice-
cream tubes) which are actually ice and
colouring that are sold for 10 to 20
cents.. the colourful ones.. where you
usually bite off the top to glup it
down.orange tastes b best..

what about days when we felt like doing
naughty things such as folding papers
so small to make 'lastik' amd shoot
each other... how about throwing
chalks??

back then, micheal jackson was just
turning white.. and still had albums
coming out.. compared to CD's, we were
listening to casette tapes that sold
for RM9.90...

in computer class, we were still using
black and white computer moniters..
played 'Atari'... maybe SEGA or
NINTENDO...

well, are we all getting older or what?

1) if you understand what you have read
and you are smiling...

2) we have friends from school that are
already married...

3) we shake our heads everytime we
see high school students fussing about
their handphones in school..

4) we don't hang on phone with our
friends for hours a day talking about
nothing...

5) when we meet back with our friends
from time to time, we feel excited and
happy talking about old times, the
funny 'adventures' or stories that we
experienced as a kid..

6) last but not least, that when you
read this, you would think of all the
happy & sad memories that you have
experienced when you were still a kid
and would think of forwarding this to
your old friends that you have known
since forever... i'm sure they would
have a huge smile on their face after
reading this.....

7) im pretty sure we all miss our
school life

we're all getting old ;P

Cuti Sekolah

2009-06-13T23:50:00.004+08:00

Buka mata- tutup mata... dah 2 minggu berlalu... cuti sekolah pun dan berlalu... cepatnya masa bergerak.... pas ini kena kembali mengajar... pegang kapur, tanda buku latihan budak, latih budak olahraga untuk kejohanan bawah 10 tahun bulan 7 nanti...

Yang paling saya malas nak buat buku rekod mengajar.. kalau kantoi x buat kang kena bayar denda... rm 1000 kot... malas nyer....

20 fuel-saving tips from Shell

2009-06-09T21:50:00.001+08:00

Get some smart advice on driving more efficiently and using less petrol - direct from the fuel experts.

TIPS FOR YOU AND YOUR CAR

Service your engine - Did you know a poorly maintained engine can increase your fuel consumption by up to 50%? Just replacing dirty spark plugs can improve your fuel consumption by up to 5%.

Keep your tyres at the right pressure - If your tyres are under inflated by just 1psi, your fuel efficiency can be reduced by up to 3%. So pump up those tyres up once a week or whenever you fill up.

Avoid carrying excess weight - For every extra 100 lbs (45kg) you carry, your fuel efficiency can drop by 1-2%. So clear your car of unnecessary items that just add weight to your vehicle when you can.

Take the roof rack off - If you're not using your roof rack or your roof box, remove it. A roof rack can affect the aerodynamic efficiency of your vehicle, creating drag which can result in your car using up to 5% more fuel.

Check the air filters - Air filters keep impurities from damaging your engine. Replacing a clogged air filter can help improve your fuel economy by as much as 10% and can help protect your engine.

Use the correct oil - Using the manufacturer's recommended lubricant can help improve fuel efficiency by 1-2%. Higher quality motor oils can also help your engine operate more efficiently. If you're using Shell Fuel Economy, Shell Helix will help you squeeze even more out of every drop by helping your engine run extra smoothly.

Check the seal on your fuel cap - Fuel evaporates every time you open the fuel cap. Make sure your cap is properly screwed on every time after every fill up.

Plan your trips - Cutting down on the time spent in the car is the easiest way to conserve fuel. To reduce driving time, combine all your short trips and errands into a single journey or call ahead to avoid wasted journeys.

Keep hydrated - Don't forget to drink water. When you're well hydrated, you concentrate better. Keep a bottle to hand as you drive and make sure you drink to help keep yourself cool and focused when you drive. And remember, if you ever feel drowsy while driving, pull over and rest at the first opportunity.

Keep calm - That way you'll be able to drive smoothly and anticipate what's going on ahead of you. When you keep calm, you also drive with plenty of distance between your car and others.

TIPS ON DRIVING MORE EFFICIENTLY

Drive smoothly - If you drive aggressively, you'll burn up to a third more fuel than if you drive smoothly. Avoid accelerating or braking too hard and try to keep your steering as even as possible.

Use higher gears - When you drive slowly in a higher gear, you'll burn less fuel. Change up a gear whenever you can.

Keep the windows closed - Wind blowing through an open window slows you down. To compensate, you'll put your foot down harder, using more fuel. So instead of opening a window, try and use your car's internal ventilation system instead of the air conditioning.

Use cruise control - Change up whenever you can. Using cruise control on major roads helps you maintain a constant speed and helps you make all those drops count.

Avoid excess idling - Stuck in a jam? Idling gets you nowhere, but still burns fuel. Turn the engine off when you're in a queue until you need it. As a rule, if you've stopped for over 10 seconds, switch off your engine.

Avoid over-revving - Change gear in good time when you pull away or when you're accelerating. Never 'redline' the rev counter.

Avoid high speeds - The faster you go, the more wind resistance you'll encounter and the more fuel your vehicle will consume just to maintain speed. Driving just 12kmph (5mph) over the speed limit can affect fuel economy by up to 23%. So keep it slow.

Use air-conditioning sparingly - It's hard to avoid using your air-conditioning, but remember that it does put added strain on your engine on hot days. And, it increases your fuel consumption by up to 8%. On temperate days, you can always use your car's internal ventilation system instead.

Avoid rush hour - If you can travel outside of peak times, you'll spend less time stuck in traffic and use less fuel drops as a result.

Keep a constant speed - Instead of coasting when you reach a downward slope, maintain steady engine revs. This will mean you pick up speed, and if you've then got a hill to climb, it gives you considerable added momentum to help go up.
