La La La ~ Naughty Boy Ft. Sam

This is my go to outfit for the moment.

Pale blue jeans paired with a light strappy top. In hot weather I never now what to wear for cover so I thought a Floral blazer makes a difference to a plain outfit but can always be taken off when it gets too hot.

I love gold & white sandals for summer, they look great on the beach or by the pool.

I find that Aviator sunglasses suit my face shape the most but I can't resist a set of strange sunnies & these Hexagonal ones from Topshop are too cool.

& finally a pretty bag, I just wish that I did have a pale pink Rocco bag :(

I love it ~ Icona Pop

This half term has been great. I went home to see friends, catch up on gossip, see films at the cinema, drinking & eating & managing to soak up a few rays of sunshine. It can be pretty tiring working from 9am til 11pm most days & so I tried to cram in as much as I could before I go back to it all!

Back to Black ~ Beyonce ft. Andre 3000

A few years ago on a photography course I had to create photos to symbolize & help a charity or a cause that you felt strongly about & I chose animal testing.

I am a Vegetarian & have been for six years now but I realised that animal cruelty isn't just in the food industry but also a major factor of course in the fashion & beauty industries & the worst part is, is that it doesn't have to be.

It may be hard to give up your favourite brand of make up or the perfect shade of foundation that feels as though it is tailored for you but most probably an innocent animal has had to pay the price for it.

Laboratories around the world use any kind of animal they can get their hands on from rats, to rabbits, to puppies which are all abused day in & day out just for your favourite perfume or lipstick. To make myself stop using animal tested products all I had to do was google animal tested cosmetics for my course & I couldn't stop the tears. Since then I have refused to wear animal tested make up & have tried my hand at preventing animal testing. I have recently had to campaign against Cardiff University as the scientists there had been found using newborn kittens as test subjects.

I switched to Animal Cruelty Free make up whilst I was on a photography course halfway through my training of being a make up artist so swapping my favourite Chanel pallettes & giving up my Mac pro card was hard but I soon realised that Non animal tested make up & beauty supplies can be found anywhere.

For me, my Animal cruelty free make products come from Bobbi Brown, Illamasqua, Superdrug own brand, & as featured in my make up bag, The Body Shop. & there are many, many more.

I hope this post just makes all you beautiful girls out there who love their make up think twice that animals are paying the price & are tortured & used for you to look good.

As I have mentioned before on this blog I am real nosey. I love looking into peoples stuff, & make up bags? Well they are no exception. So I thought it was about time to do one of my own. I thought I may as well include my face wash & such too.

Aside from Lush, I cannot get enough of the Bodyshops haircare. Perfect for me as it makes my hair feel soft, new & smell amazing.

I live by this Vitamin C Microdermabrasion face wash. It gets me through the winter with non dried out skin & with this tinted moisturizer, leaves my face looking fresh & dewy.

This illuminator & Matte Primer are by far my favorites that I have come across in the make up industry. My go to foundation & new favourite face tint cream for when I cba to put much make up on.

This lip tint is the best! Start off with a little bit in the centre of your lips & add more to make them darker. It's also a cheek stain so I dab three dots on my cheekbones & blend them in & use this as blusher. The mascara isn't the best I'll admit but as long as I have eyelash curlers I can make it work, This Vitamin E lip balm is a god send for all weathers & gets rid of cracked lips instantly. I always wear brown eyeliner & I find it makes my blue eyes pop.

I love this brow kit. Tiny, compact, & cute.

A new favourite. I used to love the strawberry oil as it was the first perfume I ever bought when I was six. But they have discontinued it :(

I had yet to purchase any of the Bodyshops home scents so I thought I'd get in on the action & buy a candle. It's smells like HEAVEN.

I am currently in love with baby blue at the moment. It's such a lovely colour for Spring/Summer. The peplum top is from Modcloth, the little polka dots are too cute! & need I say more about the flats? Mouse flats are Marc by Marc Jacobs & I want a pair in gold! I am huge fan of Olympia Le Tan. How amazing is her work? This little Caviar clutch would be perfect to top the outfit off. Unfortunately there was no link to the earring but I adore the colours! So pretty.

The campaign was to design a fantasy bedroom including one of the wardrobes from Next with the theme of a famous city. I chose Marrakesh as I have always been drawn top bright colours & I have a fondness for exotic places & bohemian interiors.

Monochrome is definitely one of the biggest trends right now. Taking its inspiration from the 60s, monochrome is of course a fancy way of saying black and

white. It’s certainly got the potential to be dramatic but one of the best things about a trend like this is that there are so many ways to play around with it. You can do it subtly or boldly; a full outfit or just a nod.

Adding solid colour accessories to a contrasting one-colour outfit is a simple but stunning way to achieve minimalist monochrome. Spots, stripes and chevrons bring black and white out in full force. If neither of those appeals and you want to incorporate it into your everyday look, then go for monochromatic shoes or a bag.

Since the look is all about contrast, I don’t think it has to be limited to just black and white either. Swap white for nude for subtle contrast or try navy in place of black for a nautical feel.

Flaws ~ Bastille

The other day I went on a small college trip to an old victorian town called Blists Hill. It's a little village that has been preserved for many years, the houses, shops & work places haven't changed including everything inside them. When I got there I had to go straight to the bank & change my "modern" money for pennies & pieces of silver as thats all they would accept in the village.

The village goers & shop keepers all wore victorian clothes & we had the traditional victorian cooked fish & chips washed down with Fentimans Old Cola. So tasty.

There is also a very small carnival with a few rides for kids & even a coconut shy! Don't get too excited ;)

On one of the streets there was a small shop with a lady who sold her wares which consisted of molded plaster in tudor roses, animals & all sorts!

I couldn't leave without buying something!

I even made a new friend!!

I love winter. I love wrapping up in scarves & hats & sitting by the fireside drinking hot chocolate, having snowball fights & wearing boots but having these grey skies & snow can be kind of depressing when it's around for too long.

Right now I cannot wait for the Spring to show! I'm looking forward to green trees & fields, Sunshine, warm breezes, wearing sunglasses & acceptable ice cream eating weather!

I have yet to see the new Oz film, but with such a fantastic trailer & cast I'm sure I will approve, so I thought I would re-read all fourteen of the Oz books as it's been such a long time & my inner child loved them! My hair is suffering from the cold winter weather & this coconut oil returns it to its healthy shiny self! I looove the colour & pattern of this Ipad cover from Free People! I love blouses & shirts for casual wear & this striped one is lovely :)

We went for a little wander the otherday to look for some antiques & treasures for our shop Indigo Moon. I would have taken some nice photos but as usual I got told off just as I started. I did however find some pretty pieces to put in my Etsy Shop! They will all be in soon!

I have been so busy lately! Finally just trying to finish my 100+ essays before the 1st of July! So apologies for the lack of interesting posts of late!

Everybody loves me ~ OneRepublic

I know everyones probably thinking "Really? Another Oscar post?" But I freaking love the Oscars. I would seriously be in my element aside from a few uncontrollable breakdowns if I met my favourite actors/actresses. The of course Oscars ooze Hollywood & glamour & I could daydream all day about being sat at a table with the likes of Joseph Gordon Levitt, Robert DeNiro, Meryl Streep, Emma Stone all lazily chatting & laughing like old friends whilst sipping champagne. Seriously, I could do it all day. But of course I think more about the dress I would wear as flashbulbs go off in my face as I walked down the red carpet with Ryan Gosling. Okay I have thought about it far too much but you're all lying if you've never thought about it ;)

Recently...

I love tattoos. I already have two so when a friend of a friend needed someone to practice on for her first ever tattoo I had no problem volunteering. Call me crazy but I don't look at tattoos with much thought. Each to their own I always think & the only problem I have ever seen with them is running out of room.

I saw a picture of a lotus & thought it was really pretty. Lotus's are quite a spiritual flower & they also bloom in mud & dark places so I thought it was a nice reminder of how good things come along when times are dark.

I haven't had it shaded in yet as we ran out of time & it's currently in the process of healing hence why the lines aren't in great shape. It's placed at the top of my back just under my neck. I love it.

Kiss Me ~ Six Pence None The Richer

This week has been so hectic. A lot of traveling on trains, Catching up on some reading, Finishing assignments & spending far to much money. It was actually quite nice to have a week to myself without work or college to go to.

The days have been getting considerably lighter here & we actually had sun! I love this time of year when the sun starts to shine again. With all the gloom of winter months I forget how much I love & miss it. Although its still cold & I need to wrap up in my boots & scarf, there is nothing better than being outside in the crisp weather wearing sunglasses. It has made me so much more happier.

On another note Spring is almost here! I cannot wait to start buying spring/summer clothes! I have recently discovered Free People (I know, How is this possible?) Although some of their clothes are a little out my price range at the moment, I couldn't help but make a wishlist of some things I would love to purchase.

I love the whole "Boho" vibe that arrives with sun & I find that these clothes are perfect for it!

Jerk it out~ The Caesars

I love this post Want, Read, Wear, Need that one of my favorite blogs Bleubird has started doing & I have decided to do one myself.

This week, I just bought these star Vans ready for summer! I'm more of a Converse than a Vans girl but these were too cute to pass up for summer. I am currently reading 'Norwegian Wood' by Haruki Murakami. I love it & seriously recommend it. I really want this new Fuuvi Bee camera. Its a video camera that is pocket size & films in 8mm to give a vintage feel. & it takes photos! I have so many notepad & sketchpad apps on my Ipad & I am in desperate need of a nice stylus especially for all my note taking in my lectures!

It's snowing!!

On Friday my college was closed due to the snow so Chewy & I thought we would go for a walk.

I threw snowballs for Chewy & ran around the fields to keep warm. After it got too cold we came home to a nice mug of spanish hot chocolate! Very fancy haha!
