Well I've been missing in action and must admit to not making many cards and those I have made have been force work so I decided to do something else and have gone back to a craft I learnt as a young girl . Knitting !!!at the moment I'm making an Aran jacket as I have found it incredibly difficult to buy a warm winter cardigan that I like. Once its finished I will try sharing a photo.

Wishing everyone A Very Happy Healthy Crafty New Year. I wont be making resolutions as I'm not the best for sticking to them. Another hangler stangler image has been used on this card. Mounted on a Craftwork Cards card blank using silver mirri and lilac Gemstone card.Cut out using my nesties The pointsettias I cut and embossed using marianne designs dies in my Bigshot then layered them and added a gem to the centre. The silver ribbon is from Ribbon Oasis and the sentiment was stamped and embossed in silver.

Two More Christmas cards

The first is made using a Hanglar Stanglar Stamp which I acquired from ebay. Coloured with my promarkers and with glamour dust added to the wings.Mounted onto a craftwork cards scalloped card base with pink mirri and Percy and Penelope backing paper. I added a pink snowflake border cut using a Martha Stewart punch and the sentiment was stamped,embossed and then punched out using a 1" circle punch. A selection of gems in various shades of pink finished the card.

The second one is a Cuddly Buddly stamp, embossed in silver then coloured once more with my promarkers. I used the same card stock and another sheet of Percy and Penelope backing paper. Holographic snowflakes with blue gems added and a blue irridescent ribbon are used to embellish.

First Christmas card

Well this is the first one I'm sharing :-D. I used the Christmas Fairy Holly Digi from Mo Manning. Coloured with my Promarkers and with glamour dust added to make a sparkley skirt. I mounted this on a scalloped card from Craftwork cards matting and layering it with holly mirri from Kanban and embossed gemstones card. The embossing that isnt showing up at all well is also holly which was done using a texturz plate in my big shot. I then added a large green bow and the sentiment which is stamped and embossed in gold.

Another Birthday Card

This time for my niece I used a cute LOTV image stamp coloured with my promarkers and cut out using a nestie. The card is 8" scalloped circle from Card Craft Plus website. I covered it with bazzil gemstones card cutting the inner green circle with my wrmk circle cutter. The flowers were cut from matching green floral with polkadot paper using some creata flower dies and added a pink gem to each centre. A pearlescent pink ribbon bow and a silver embossed ticket stamped sentiment were added.

A Birthday on Crafttelly

This card was made for a member of a swap group I'm part of . Using a Kanban clear stamp I embossed it with gold detail powder and highlighted the flowers in the ladies hair with a Poppy promarker. I then stamped the swirls from the same set on some pearlised kanban paper and embossed them using a kalidiscope embossing powder. The image was cut out using a Nellie Snellen die and mounted on red mirri which I cut free hand after drawing around the outside of the die. I added a Craftwork cards sentiment also mounted on a punched oval of red mirri and piece of organza ribbon tied in a double bow completes the card.

November Card Swap on Craft Telly

The theme for the November card swap over on Craft telly is keep it simple or anything goes. I chose to follow the first theme and decided to use a new stamp that I purchased from Foilplay although it was also part of a TSV on QVC. I stamped and embossed it with detail gold embossing powder which I then mounted onto a 5"x 5" black perlescent card. Matting and layering it alternatively with gold mirri and white hammer finished card the corners of which I rounded with one of my Crop-o-dile corner chompers. This has set me of on a small embossing frenzy the products of which I hope to be able to share with you in due course.

A Lili of the Valley Wedding card

I was asked to make two wedding cards by a friend and this is the first one. Its an 8"x 8"card and I chose to loosely follow a sketch by Bev Rochester. The stamp is from Lili of The Valley and I coloured it using my promarkers. The ribbon is from Ribbon Emporium and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

A Kanban Birthday Card

This was a commision for a friend so decided to use some of my kanban stash to make this fashion card. I used the Classy and Fabulous topper and backing sheet and made an 8" square card. The flower design is made using red mirri and the deep edge Daisy Punch by Martha Stewart and as I had no red ribbon I used my promarkers to colour some white irridescent ribbon to match.

I posted a topper previously that was part of a swap over on crafttelly.com well this is the card I made from the lovely topper I recieved. Matted and layered onto green mirri card with the edge punched using a Martha Stewart Punch. The flowers were cut using Joy flower dies in my big shot and card candy was added to the centre.

Lili of the Valley Birthday Card

This is a card that I made for the birthday of a Crafttelly forum memberI had seen these double folded cards and decided to have a go at making one using an A3 peice of card and cutting it down to approximately 6" x 18" The pink gingham paper is dovecraft and I used a pinky purple mirror card embossed with a crafts -too embossing folder then cut with deckle edge oval nesties.

The stamps are form Lili of the valley and the inside of the card is decorated with flowers cut using small flower dies by Joy.

This card is for my Grandson Daniel's birthday and as the card says he is 3 and also he is one of my three little stars. The image is a Wooly bears stamp from Kanban which I won guessing secret santa in July cardmakers over on Crafttelly.Coloured with my Promarkers and a small amount of glossy accents added to his nose. I layered it onto silver hologram card cut with my rectanguler nesties using my bigshot. The star paper I have had for some time and I added peel offs for the number and sentiment and embellished with some card candy.

I have been busy and I can now finally share some of the cards I have been making as the recipients have recieved them. The first one was made for the August card swap on Crafttelly using the theme of "my latest purchase". Well to be honest as I spend so much on craft items I had a few things to choose from but decided to go for the Urban Belles stamps from Kanban and my new punch around the page set of punches by Martha Stewart both purchased from QVC . I decided these stamps having quite definind areas were also ideal to try a technique I hadn't used before paper piecing. The papers I used are Marianne Designs Eline's Babys in the pink option. Her dress, hairband, boots, scalf and the flowers are all pieced and as the stamps are clear I could easily line up the part of the image I wished to use so that the pattern of the paper was used to best advantage.Edged with the punches and then mounted onto pink glitter card another sheet of the paper then pink pearlescent cardstock formed the base card. Next comes a topper this was made for a one of swap on Crafttelly where we each make a topper that is sent on and then make a card from the topper we recieve. I used A Crafts Too embossing folder that I had purchased from Foilplay in my Bigshot and chalked the embossing with a pale green chalk and yellow for the stars. Finding a stamp that I could fit inside the frame was alittle more of a challenge but eventually decided on using a Sugar Nellie stamp called Mackenzie which I coloured with my Promarkers. The corners of the topper were rounded with a corner chomper. Finally for today I made this Birthday card for Victoria a member of yes you guessed it Crafttelly forum LOL. The card base is white pearlescent card and I used a Martha Stewart edge punch along the front edge, placing a strip of turquiose mirror card behing it. I then used some Jayne Nestorenko stamps from the Patchwork Polly range to make a patchwork background. and mounted these onto some more mirror card. The girl stamp is Olivia from the same range of stamps coloured using my new Aqua promarkers. To finish I coloured the edge of a sentiment diecut from Craftwork cards and added some irridescent ribbon from my stash.

Kanban Double Stepper card

This card was made for a member of a birthday swap group on Crafttelly. I used an A4 sheet of pearlescent card which I marked out using a templete from B-C-E. The toppers from Kanban where each mounted on blue mirror card and then small blue pearls and hologram peel offs where added as accents.

I took part in the Secret Santa in July card swap on Craft Telly and guess what I remembered to take a picture LOL so here is my card. I used a free digi download of a cheerful snowman from Cuddly Buddly which I coloured with my promarkers then I added glitter to the snowman and snowflakes which was from Foilplay and was part of a prize that was given for winning the guessing in a previous Secret Santa swap. I added glitter glue to the Snowmans hat band and the glossy accents to his top hat and buttens.This was then mounted on some Kanban embossed card which was punched along each edge using a Martha Stewart punch.Wrapped some pale blue ribbon round it and then mounted it on a card made from a large kanban card. The hologram snowflakes are papermania and I then glued small ice blue gems into the middle of each of them.

Well this isnt turning out how I'd planned it as I find my inspiration appears to have left with the puppies and the cards I have made or am making I have forgotten to photograph before sending or I can't share them at the moment in case the recipients see them. :-(

April Card Swap on Craft Telly

The April Card swap on Craft Telly is on the theme of a Little Birdie Told Me , well what a coincidence my new stamps from Whiff of Joy fit the theme exactly. So I used A card blank from Craftwork cards, the purple and pink paper is Co-ordinations Vintage collection Retro Mod Squad and the patterned paper was from another freebie pad that came with Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. I decided to use my new Tim Holtz distressing tool around the edges of the two bottom layers and the sentiment was cut out using a Nellie Snellen Die in my Big Shot. I then added some flowers and gems from my stash.

Well Crufts is over for another year and it's back to work tomorrow so thought I would post the mothers day card I made for my Mam, quiet simple in design as I was so busy. The image is a Lili of The Valley stamp and I have coloured it with yes you guessed my Promarkers. Matted and layered on DCWV paper and blue mirror card using my nesties and Big Shot, with a shiny blue ribbon and some ice blue gems added from my stash.
