From around 40,000 at the turn of the last century, there are just 1411 tigers left in India.If we don’t act now, we could lose this part of our heritage forever.

Every animal has the right to live. As humans we have not only demonstrated our greed by poaching tigers, robbing off their right to live, built Tiger Farms for selling their products, made them ‘game animals’, encroached their habitats n most of all lost the essence of being Human; we have become a disease! Its about time we stopped ‘over – crowding’ and start giving animals some space to live peacefully. We have to make a difference now, else there wouldn't be any Tiger or any animal left in the forests/jungles in the next decade.

I acknowledge Aircel for taking this initiative and bringing people together to voice their opinions and most importantly, spreading the word and awareness.

I really really hope there is a countable and significant difference made by the end of 2010.

3 IDIOTS(Bal Thackeray,SRK,Sharad Pawar)

What gets us into trouble is not what we don’t know. It’s what we know for sure that just ain’t so.

This is the story about 3 guys and their course of actions which ultimately led to some events and becoz of that these ppl came out as idiots. Let me give you some flashback about what actually happened??

First of all SRK gave a statement that it was quite dreadful to humiliate Pakistani cricketers in front of the whole world and he wished he cud possibly changed that. He want some Pakistani Players in his IPL team. That was enough to pissed off Mr. Bal Thackery and he verbally attacked him and called SRK as a traitor. As Mr. Thackery is also the president of Shiv Sena Party and his party had just performed poorly in recently conducted Maharashtra election, so he thought he might get some more votes if he wud incourage Marathi Manoos chauvinism(as MNS got benefited with that in the election) against north Indian; along with his patriotism on the issue “Recent attacks on Indians in Australia”. This will bring our third n last idiot in the limelight i.e. Mr. Sharad Pawar, the civil supplies and food minister of our country. Thackery made a statement that he wud not allow any Australian cricketer to play in IPL so our agricultural minister met him personally and literally begged him to reconsider his opinion abt this matter , which ultimately paid off ; thanks to Mr. Sharad Pawar(all IPL fans must thanked him for his effort ).

Our First Idiot Mr. Shah Rukh Khan expressed his views on a certain issue then he found himself against shiv sena , which threatened him that in order to release his film in Bombay ……..ohhhh sorry ….Mumbai (now a days u ve to be careful abt some words) i.e. My Name Is Khan, he has to make an apology publically. Then suddenly there was a torrentious support for our star on most of the social websites in form of campaign like “We are with SRK” . After that Srk made an apology to his cast n crew not to shiv sena n with in a short period of time shiv sena called it off (not completely). Why Shiv Sena pulled out of this is not so obvious coz there can be many reasons like Mahrashtra police is capable of taking care of our Marathi Manoos or SRK gave a private call to Mr. Thackery or whatever?? But we are missing a major point in this situation which is…… “Why SRK didn’t bid for any Pakistani Cricketer in the IPL Auction???” Or let me just rephrase it “ Why he wanted to be a puppet in hand of Mr. Modi or BCCI ??(Whom so ever is responsible of that IPL fiasco)…….These questions will put our first candidate into the category of an IDIOT.

Second idiot is Mr. Bal Thackery. As we all know that shiv sena is on a fall, there is no spark in it right now, Uddhav is not upto the stature of Mr. Balashaeb to lead the party, last election performance was quite forgettable. Under all these circumstances what he can do to revive his party ?? He has some limited options which are Marathi Chauvinism against North Indian (MNS Ideology which is infact quite beneficiary for them), and and and and ………… I can’t think of any other reason??? You have to feel for this man ….he has no other option but to go for it. The major point in this is the fate of Mumbai!!! Calcutta (before it changed to Kolkata) was a bright star with its Bengal film industry on a high, wide range of industrialization, best educational and health care facilities at that time but after 30 yrs(may be more or less) of Marxist rule, now you can see where Kolkata is now?? This can happen to Mumbai if they don’t stop their stupid efforts to destroy this loveable city. Nobody is trying to destroy their culture or stealing their jobs?? We are living in a democratic country and we are first Indians then anything else. These irresponsible actions will put our second candidate into the category of an IDIOT.

Last but not the least is our Mr. Sharad Pawar. I dont have to give any reasons to prove him as an idiot. Prices are rising and our agriculture minister is not concerned. He is concerned about IPL matches. I don't know whether he is the civil supplies and food minister or the cricket minister. But he had made a move which wud make him the biggest idiot of all time that is his visit to Mr. Thackery’s house along with BCCI president(clown). What kind of sick person he is ?? Even Mumbai Police Commissioner was not happy with his moronic action and he said that Mumbai police is quite sufficient to handle shiv sena , recent Rahul’s vist to mumbai is a proof of that, there is no need of pleading in front of Shiv Sena.

Don’t worry about your reputation, its not under your control, worry about your character coz you yourself control it.

On my way back frm my home town to Delhi with the help of our beloved Northern Railways, i saw a saint wearing saffron coloured clothing commonly known as chola, with a pair of slippers in his hands instead of his foot, sitting on the grnd alongside railway tracks at Bhiwani(one of my favourite town as it gave me d opportunity to meet some wonderful ppl n frnds which i cherished most) railway station. I was listening to d track (You-Switchfoot) sitting inside the AC coach on a very nice day with sun in the sky though it was quite chiily. It was 11 am n i was luking outside frm d window as i saw outside, d saint extracted some juice frm a orange in a cup, drank it, n then laid down on d grass with the satisfying look which you can't even find on the face of a man driving a mercedes.(I wondered about how much juice could he have been able to get from that single orange, smiled) n then he laid down on d grass. I don’t know but i smiled n told myself that i m gonna write abt it although it wasn’t any significant event n i took out my phone n started typin...(it was a dreadful exp guy coz i m not a guy who is texting everytime as i don’t ve a girlfrnd n my frnds doesn’t bother me too much)(Track:I got a feeling-Black Eyed Peas).

The guy (saint) was lying on d grnd n he had a very thin piece of cloth on his body not covering him entirely (that wud be quite a site if Katrina kaif was lying with that kind of wardrobe....o boy she’s one hot lady) n then i thought it must ve been a hard time for him to be like this, its quite difficult to be a saint in winter when chilly winds blows out all the d heat frm ur body. Finally i came to conclusion that he was actually a saint(we call them saint coz they dress lyk that without realizing what they actually face, most often addressed as pretenders) n everybody who lives life that way is a saint.(Track:Alright-Darius Rucker).

I usually consider myself an unlucky person but at that moment i realised that how foolishly i was using this word “luck” as i have no idea wat that word meant. I was the lucky person there in that situation and the saint was unlucky one coz nobody wants that kind of life. May be he doesn’t want to be a saint, it wasn’t his choice or may be it was forced upon him n he couldn’t resist that’s why he was unlucky. Please mind that here i m nt talking abt saint like aasaram bapu etc whom got away with a murder coz one of his follower was happened to be a judge, but the saint in my story ain’t got no followers n he is all by himself.....(Track:Hard Sun- Eddie Vedder/Corin Tucker).

It wasn’t like i was feeeling happy at that moment coz god doesn’t choose me to play the saint part but i don’t know i cant explain what i was feeling at that time. Only one question came to my mind how can we describe an unlucky person???? A girl-women who got everything but not the way she wanted(career,husband,boyfrnd etc) or a girl who got raped or molested by some sickhead(s).....??? A person who wasn’t able to buy a house for his family in his whole life or a person whose beautiful house got burned down in riots and now he is living on the streets.....??? A kid who never got good marks despite the hard work or a kid who never got a chance to be in a school ....??? A person who got a challan frm the traffic controller for overspeeding or reckless driving and he missed the most important meeting of his life or a person who got killed in a road accident because of someone else fault.....???( Track:Society-Eddie Vedder/Jerry Hannan). The more i go with this the more absurd it would seem...............U decide urself......

We never get what we want, we never want what we get, we never have what we like, we never like what we have and still we live & love. That's life. Police and EMTs who responded found Woods drifting in and out of consciousness and took him to the hospital. Although it was initially reported that wife Elin had rescued her husband from the car by taking a golf club to the car's back window and dragging him out, rumors swirled that she had actually caused Tiger's injuries when confronting him about his affair. Woods turned away police three times in the days following the accident and didn't release a statement until two days later. Since then, more women have stepped forward claiming they were also involved with Woods. On Dec. 2, Woods apologized to his family and fans for his "transgressions”. Tiger Woods said he let his family down with transgressions he regrets “with all of my heart,” and that he will deal with his personal life behind closed doors. Welcome to the Tigerland….But what is the main reason behind this?? Why he cheated?? He has a good career, beautiful wife n kids ,money, fame, Iconic status in his country n everything that a man could possibly dreamed off …….Why the hell he gave up all of this??? What was going on in his mind at that time??? Before we speculate on the reason behind this scandal …we first find out the psyche of a man…….”A man is as faithfull as his options “…………….it is easier for a women to turn down sex coz she was dealing with that kind of situation when she was 16 or so…but foe a Man …No No….We cant turn it down its like a miracle whether u r a high profile celebrity or a manager or any other professional or student…Its like we want to find out all the different flavours of the ice-cream or like keeping our options open…..haaaa…….Dont feel offended bcoz its my own perception n may be its wrong ……haa…….But let just concentrate on tigers case…..What could be the possible reasons???.....Either he was bored out of his life?? I don’t think a person earning millions, winning every tournament, National Icon, No 1 golfer …...couldn’t ve that case or may be i dont know…..... Well may be his wife is not hot enough for him?? That is not the case coz Elin Nordegren is a pretty hot n beautiful lady …….. May be he is a sexual psycho/sexual predator/sex addict or something, that he cant control himself??…….but If you carefully study the list of all the names of the mistresses then u will realize that most of them r either pornstars or related to that industry …so it will give strength to our reason that Mr Wood may be a sexual psycho. He may be watching porn when he was 10 or so(addicted to porn) and some of his affairs were before he got married so finally when he got married his wife cudn’t satisfy him(wont agree to do stuff that he wanted)…so he turned to more professional way to satisfy himself (pornstars)……..Well the exact reason will come out when he will confess or may be we will not be able to know the exact reasons behind the scandal or there may be no reasons at all……he just did it(“Just do it” ….is the tagline for Nike ….one of the major sponsors of Mr. Woods…..ha….)!!

Everything apart one has to feel for his wife ……coz everytime a scandal broke out the worst will happen to the women and to her family (especially children’s)……she is not the culprit but she has to suffer coz of her husband stupidity ….se has to make important decisions now as whether she will going to stay with him or not???...But a News Channel said that Elin will not divorce woods for the sake of their children n being a divorced child she knew the impact of the divorce on the child. If she do that then it will be a brave move n we salute her for that but one thing for sure she will forgive tiger(for the family) but will never forget ………..this will haunt tiger forever……..

Speaking of the public image of the tiger …well we all r the part of a forgiving society n we will forget this in next 6 mnths or so (as in Mr wood case so it may take a long time)…….But it will ve an impact on his image as he will not be considered a national icon anymore…..may not get any social or political awards(he may win in golf or not, may be he will take retirement, we will get to know abt that later) ……. Woods makes over $100 million a year from advertising and he has endorsement agreements with Accenture Plc, Nike Inc., PepsiCo Inc.’s Gatorade, Tag Heuer International SA watches, Electronic Arts Inc., Upper Deck Co., NetJets Inc., TLC Vision Corp. and Procter & Gamble Co.’s Gillette. Advertisements featuring Tiger Woods have disappeared from prime-time broadcast television and many cable channels so it may have an impact on his fortune also.
Whatever be the outcome of this scandal or the impact on the tiger family or on his career on thing is for sure its already the Christmas time for the media …………..boy they r enjoying every bit of it……..

Kobe Bryant

Rick Pitino

Shortly after Sypher was indicted on extortion charges, she declared that the affair had not been consensual, that Pitino had raped her on several occasions and that one such instance resulted in a pregnancy. Pitino, widely revered as the only coach to lead three separate teams to the Final Four, was not charged based on the claim. He eventually issued a formal apology for the incident and resumed his coaching position at Louisville.

Max Mosley

LIFE IN A METRO

Well I ve been living in Delhi for 5-6 mnths and its been a wonderful time here in our capital. During my days in Delhi I travelled through Metro most of the time. Metro was first started on December 24, 2002. Since then it’s acting as the backbone of Delhi transport system.
Metro is full of ppl(not in terms of no. of ppl travel in metro) but I mean to say that it is full of emotions despite being a machine. First time I took the metro, it was a bit scary journey. Scary coz when I entered in d metro I was petrified as there were so many ppl in d train like all of them were forced into the train n were goin into some Nazi concentration camp against their will. You cannot move anything even if u want to as it was fully stuffed to the core with a feel of India. Well you may know, whenever in India if we want to travel thrugh public transport then we ve to force our way to get in or out whether its trains, buses etc. The journey in metro is nt simple, its quite complicated not in terms of technology but in terms of sociology. You wud encountered with different types of social patterns. You will be able to see diff kinds of ppl, observe diff behavior, attitude, habits etc in a very short span of time as my journey in metro never last for more than 50 min and I never saw the same person again(or even if I saw him/her again then I wont remember it coz they r so many ppl everyday in metro n its impossible to retain their faces in ur memory)but in that short time, you wud be able to know the person(peculiar habits most of the time) only if u want to. I divide the ppl in metro into different categories according to my reasoning (u may heard of them)……..

1.) Naught/naïve kids(8-18)
2.) Thoughtless, Aimless Youngistan(18-26).
3.) Gorgeous creatures(Girls)[You cant tell the age of a girl/women its an offence].
4.) Working class(26-55).
5.) Romantic Couples(No age limit)[We Indians are very romantic homosepians]

Firstly, I will discuss with you abt naughty kids. Well most the times they r with someone (i.e. parents) and they r highly unpredictable in nature n that’s why we call them kids. Sometime they r so polite n nice n suddenly start screaming over something n the whole metro goes crazy when one of those little todd start crying…u cud do anything to go out of the metro at that time. I see kids comes in metro in school dresses with bag at the back n water bottle hanging by the neck n luking constantly at the route plan pasted on the top of the gate. The kid will be quite only if he is alone n or continually talking if in a grp. Well I really admire these metropolitan kids coz they ve so much exposure in so little age n they can do things easily which I cant when I was at their age. I mean if somebody comes frm a small town then ride of a metro will be a big thing for him just like as he wud have visited any other planet n most often u can see ppl not able to go thrgh entry or exit gate in metro station as they don’t know whether to touch the coin like they did before as they don’t ve any idea as it was their first time but even if they come again they will ve the fear of escalators etc...... but a kid of 5-6 yrs of age can do these kind of things easily or different business regarding his life…its no big deal for him…….I don’t want to say that they will ve gr8 future as compare to the kids living in small towns or village but certainly thet ve some advantage …….

Then we come to our the youngistan category and why I said it is thoughtless n aimless, well I think I personified it according to my own perceptions(haa…). You can identify them instantly if you see one of those features: Spikes, funky clothes, pimples, bad breath wearing sunglasses in metro, constantly shouting or bursting into laughter without any reason etc and many other I cant even tell you. The youngistan as we know is the future of our country and is a very vibrant n colorful grp. Most of the time they r in grp, giggling or studying or discussing something. And if they are alone them most often talking on their phone to their gf/bf abt plans for the weekend. The most terrific thing abt them is that everyday for them is weekend as they are completely free from any boundations in this world(not frm their parents) and this is quite cool. I love their happy go lucky nature and it brings charm to the life that is present in metro. The most important feature I forgot to tell you that youngistan is addicted to their cellphones either they r talking to someone or listening music all the time(24x7).

Gorgeous creatures ( that means to only girls or women's as I m not a gay so I cant watch them in that sense …ha…..but I support them as the gay’s ve all the rights to be common n miserable like everybody else…..). This is the most beautiful aspect of the metro n I cherished it most. By paying only 6 to 7 rupees u can watch beauty worth a i don’t know as u cant ve any measurement standard.(each person has his own set of standards of beauty I guess). I m talking here abt the external beauty not the inner one as I don’t know them so I cant comment abt their nature or anything but I can comment on their looks etc according to my set of standards as we r living in a free wrld. Most of these girls ve unique sense of fashion(or u can use the word weird also in some case), I don’t know where they get it but i cant comment much abt it as i don’t ve any knowledge abt it either just like them. These girls usually don’t wear branded clothes but yet they ve some catchy taste directly purchased frm Janpath Bazar or Sarita vihar mrkt etc. Whatever they r wearing most of the time that just compliment their body …I think I might be goin to far with this so I ve to hold my thoughts…..lets just talk abt other stuff... like how they walk or how they talk…walk n talk …..One thing for sure u will notice whenever they r walking like they r on ramp with chin high up n attitude on full flow n they walk just like as they r some big shot hot models or something thats case with the most DU girls (dead faces with no expression at all if they r totally lonely). Whenever they talk like if they r in some speech or accent competition…………I don’t know who is behind this Mtv, Channel V etc….no idea boss…..but I wish they can act normal …this nt true for all the girls ……With this class we ve got some free packages like desi hunk or romeo’s etc …..they r funniest ppl of all time ……I m nt talkin abt the playmakers or casanova type( I m waitng to meet that kind of ppl as that wud be quite awesome n educational experience) ..no kidding .... our desi munde with spiked hair pierced eyes or lips n they can wear anything just to get attention. Most of them r college dudes searching for their divas in the metro.

Working class as u all know consist of lazy luking guys constantly talking on their phones either to their boss or colleague (in the morning) or to wife( in the evening). I used the term lazy coz whatever is the time either they r goin to the office or cumin frm it n they r nt excited enough n they don’t luk fresh or full of joy. Most of the time u will see them talking non-stop with the guy on the other end abt the assignment he got or he will be goin to be late or to pick something frm the guy or any other boring shit that u don’t give a damn abt. These ppl sometime gives u hell of a time n when I m talking abt the class here I m talking abt both genders as most of the they r pissed off with their life or job as a result u will receive some god damn lecture in frnt of the whole crowd of the metro abt the mistake u ve’nt done or if u did then it was nt intentional. I don’t hate them but I don’t like them also but its nt true for all of the ppl most of them r really nice……

Last but not the least is our romantic couple category(romantic or nt that u ve to decide when u see them). Everytime they r in their own zone as we r speaking abt couples here n they don’t need anybody else just to spoil there moment. Whenever they enter in a metro, they always rushes for a corner seat I don’t know why ?? but I think u know……..hmm….or atleast they know what they r doin right( so that no one interfere in their business)?? They r smiling n talking to each other or walking hand in hand and the amazing thing is that how close you r standing with them u can't hear a thing ….. what the hell they r talking abt ??? It’s a gud experience seeing ppl luvin n caring for each other in this cruel world.

So this is it. These r the kind of pll I ve met over my journey n its still goin strong, as u will notice these ppl r no diff n u already know abt all these categories but my main aim is to prove a pt that in a small journey of 45-50 min u can observe so many things, get to know so many ppl or if u r lucky enough u wud get some frnds so never underestimate the simplicity of life arnd u ….coz each n every moment passing you by is a special moment…grab it enjoy it …….Its not just a metro its life travelling on the tracks with all the joy n pain…..........

DESPERATE ENTERTAINMENT

Now a times, the entertainment industry(T.V & Bollywood) get so desperate such that they wud do anything to just get their TRP rating on the sky. We see different channels with their different stupid shows based on the plot that is being lifted frm d west or frm their super grossed up mind . They play with the feeling of the audience of our country as we Indians r famous for being emotionally stupid that’s why our most beloved bollywood was failed to win even one Oscar till date n only got some few nominations( Don’t tell me Slumdog Millionaire was an Indian Film). They feel free to make that shit every time without even being caught n make million out of it. More bad a movie get more advance booking u got that’s the irony of our industry n Indian audience which include me but guys like me r quite less n that’s why we don’t make any fuckin difference . But the most imp reason is that ppl come to cinema to enjoy, they r nt interested abt the whether d film is gud or nt , they r just lukin for entertainment n don’t care how many award d movie ve got. They just follow d trend, a shity muvee with a big actor in it n they got d tickets n that’s reason we don’t get gud muvees bcoz there r not so many talented ppl out their in d stupid industry. Why our we so cheap or disgusted that’s we r getting entertained by d same stupid jokes actors songs etc every time n we don’t feel bored(we need a psychiatrist) . But there is some change cumin our way as some good muvees were being made in d past n slowly steadily we r changing, I m nt saying get d rid of all bad muvees or actors or directors but atleast don’t make a mockery of the industry. Just look at awards functions i.e. IIFA n u see the most stupid muvees r getting nominated for best movie of the year n same with actor or director of d year……its just too fun fun to watch u just cant stop laughing how stupid these ppl r …

In Hollywood most of the times u r paid according to ur talent ...…Most actor-director get hike in their fee if they won any Oscar or bafta or golden globe award but that’s nt present in our system …do u remember any actor get more after he/she won the national award ..i don’t think so…..in west the more talented u got the more expensive u r …..Highest paid actors have established themselves by winning awards like tom hanks al pacino George Clooney client eastwood dustin Hoffman meryl streep etc but in our industry om puri anupan kher irfan khan don’t get much credit according to their performance n we don’t consider them as in d elite category of hero’s n they don’t get any nominations for their acting n guys like john tushar arshad warsi etc get more money for their role …..same with directors etc …..there is something goin on wrong in that industry……I don’t want them to be changed but they can make any effort to be more genuine atleast…………….All the big actors just cashed on their name every time n also get d awards …(I support aamir khan for total abolition of awards ceremony)…………enough said ….u can talk for days on that issue………Now if we cum to small screen its more garbage u got ……stupid realties shows everywhere, saas bahu melodrama etc ….i mean they got every house in our country under their grip n if u miss something stupid in these channels then don’t get disappointed just tune in to any news channel n u got ur appetite…..but again that shit is being running for long bcoz its being watched constantly ….u ve no solution for it u ve to choose according to ur choice …….guys in industry don give a fuck as long as they r making money………It seems that either in bollywood or in small screen there is some serious shortage of plot(storyline) ….they r keep fooling us with the same crime thriller love triangle romantic comedy etc ……I think we ve some illiteracy problem going on in our industry bcoz the don’t read at all….there r so many books of every subject every aspect u can think of ……u just ve to read n adapt in ur form n get the rights for the story that’s not too expensive….so u don’t ve to copy frm d west …..even most of d muvess being made in Hollywood r inspired frm books……………As d saying goes “ there is no difference between an illiterate person and a literate person who doesn’t want to read” So just read read read……….

Delhi Games(2010).....Just the way it is??

With only 376 more days to go ...the most prominent question that bugs our mind is whether Delhi wud be able to host the Commonwealth Games 2010 like china did in Olympics 2008(best i ve ever seen)....ofcourse not...we cant compare it to d level of China ...but is Delhi ready to put up a decent show which wud be a direct step to change our global image from poor country to a modern super power nation.
The Commonwealth games will be held next year in October, but as per the deadlines, all the preparations have to be completed by March 2010, and it seems thats deadline may not be met. Although the IOC head Mr. Suresh Kalmadi keeps iterating that the they are on schedule, everyone else on ground seem to think otherwise. Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) says 13 of 19 venues are between 30% and 50% behind schedule. And it is just not for the venues, the accommodation arrangements for the athletes also is a big issue. Only 3,952 of the ‘confirmed’ 9,500 rooms – a mere 41% – are currently ready. That’s not all. Of the 2,194 ‘likely’ rooms expected to come up in time for the October 2010 event, only 50% will be ready, according to the ministry’s review. This city, which is to host the games in October next year, is a complete mess. Almost every major road is dug up or blocked, either for Metro or flyover construction. Preparations are so dangerously behind schedule that the Games Federation chief Michael Fennell has demanded a meeting with the Indian prime minister calling for "urgent action". And on the security front we hear Scotland Yard, whose officers have visited Delhi several times recently, have yet to be convinced that the safety of British teams can be guaranteed.
Meanwhile, distant Glasgow, Delhi's successor for the 2014 Games, is already buzzing with activity. Interestingly, this Scottish city has started work on many of the projects earmarked for the Games, with deadlines kept to 2012/13, leaving a year to make up for any slack.
Why we always do things late even if we wud ve ample time to finish it before the deadline??? Well what can one say...its in our blood.........haaa.....The major reason for turning this gorgeous event into a fiasco is the deadline set for the major projects i.e. March,2010 and most of the project r goin on behind the schedule. How much time Delhi wud ve if anything goes wrong after the work got completed?? How they gonna fix it in such a short period...?? The govt has yet to organise a volunteer team which will help the tourist n athletes during the games and will also help to make the event a big success. How much time the organising team wud need in order to give a performance to the level of the dignity of our country(who cares) ??
I think this is a wake up call for our officials but i thinks its already too late(u never know until it happens).....Only one suggestion,after the completion of the Commonwealth Games please sack Mr. Kalmadi...............that guy party too much!!!

Hell Down Under : Australia

On May 24, a 25-year-old student from India was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver during a mugging in Melbourne. On June 2, an Indian student was robbed by a gang of five men, who slashed his chest with a box cutter after demanding money and cigarettes. According to a report by Australian police authorities, the state of Victoria (of which Melbourne is the capital) reported 1,440 attacks against Indians in the 12 months ended June 2008, up from about 1,000 attacks in the previous 12 months. About 50,000 Indians live in Melbourne, a city of 4 million, according to government estimates. On May 31, close to 1,000 Indians took to the streets in Melbourne and about 300 protesters ringed the Australian Embassy in New Delhi. So from all of this we can certainly conclude that Australia is hell down under for Indian students specially. But why now? Well this question is buzzing in everyone's mind but no one knows the answer? Another quest that keep buzzing is that whether these attacks were racial or not? From the above information we can see that every time Indian students were attacked so it seemed to be racial in nature.

Our PM had criticized these attacks and talked to his Australian counterpart abt this issue. Many other politicians n Bollywood actors also comes in support of Indian students. But that can hardly change the situation there.....coz the police dept is not quite supportive n not even a single arrest have been made till now.....Indian students collectively contribute over 2 billion dollars to Australia every year so i think they deserve more justice n security. The main cause behind the attacks was money as every time the student was asked whether he/she ve any money ?? But if it was the money why not the other students were targeted...Australian govt shud take this matter quite seriously coz these kind of incidents could raise alarm in other countries as Chinese govt is also worried abt their students security......the govt shud not allow some stupid teenagers who were unable to do anything good in their life now wanted to steal money frm hardworking foreign students for their drugs…I think Indian students shud make their own security grp there in Australia n avoid going in nights or lonely until the matter sorted out. The Australian govt shud act as quick as it can to prevent these kind of incidents in future as it wud really demolish the reputation of Australia as a wonderful country.

Q:How do I enroll (register) myself as a new voter?
Ans: Fill out Form 6. It can be downloaded from the EC website (www.eci.gov.in). You can access this from any cyber café near your house.
Form 6 is also available at your nearest Revenue office if you live in a municipality, Tahsildar’s office if you live in a Taluka (rural), and Revenue sub-divisional office if you live in a mofussil area.

About 15 to 20 Sri Ram Sena activists had assaulted boys and girls in the pub in Mangalore on 24th Jan,2009. The assault, particularly on girls, had evoked outrage. Though 17 activists of Sri Ram Sena have been taken into custody in the Mangalore pub attack case, Ram Sena remains unapologetic about the attack and its founder P Muthalik termed the incident as a small thing. Suddenly INDIA seems divided-some r anti-pub culture while some r with it. But what is “pub culture” …..It is women drinking n socializing with men. Bars n pubs ve been there for decades but as women ve started visiting pubs, mostly in male company, conservative India has been feeling uncomfortable. So called the real man of india (Ram sena) had attacked innocent gals on the reason that they r ruining our culture….but the point is Who defines Indian Culture?? Who r these ppls to decide what others should do ?? There is no reason to impose his (Muthalik) culture on others. He wants that women would go back in ancient times n wear ghoonghat not skirts or even jeans, no education, no socializing, each n every thing will be different for men n women like old time…n most importantly women shud be considered inferior to men….is that the culture he was talking abt.. …I guess. The world over ,youngsters ve found their own way of expressing their freedom. Nobody can own a culture no one person not a hundred or a hundred million. The culture of a nation is more spirited than all of us. The best we can do is observe the beauty of its transformation. Two decades ago, a bunch of white skinned goons calling themselves “dotbusters” (bindi being taken as a dot) attacked mainly Indians in jersey city in the US. Indians living in the area decided not to take it lying down n they organized small quick reaction teams. This strong counter made the cowardly dotbusters vanish immediately. We ve to keep in mind that if the govt is not with us nor the police then the citizens will ve the right to organize themselves to counter the threat coz the right of self-defence.

After a few days muthalik offers a bizarre reasoning for the opposition to the Valentine’s Day celebration i.e. He claims to ve proof that few girls were raped in Mumbai,Delhi,Kolkata last yr. on valentine day... He has a new slogan for valentine day “tie or die”. But I think it is the failure of govt n police in that state. As no of girls being raped in an yr is quite high as compared to these on valentine day …..then what he is going to do abt that?? Ban the movement of womens in high male concentration area……..Valentine Day is a way of expressing love n freedom…”when did our culture say that one shud not celebrate love?? The company whose name translates as ‘truth’ turned into a symbol of every lie a corporate house could tell its shareholders.Rewind to Wednesday, when Satyam's chairman Ramalinga Raju quit after confessing to cooking his company's books for years. By the time markets closed that afternoon, Satyam had plunged 78%. Yet throughout, state politicians supported the company, state-owned finance companies turned a blind eye to its activities and a spineless board nodded off on everything. Satyam was rewarded with great valuations, a place on the Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex A-list, and awards for entrepreneurial success, management skills.

MAYTAS DEAL | Weeks before he quit, Raju triggered investor fury by trying to use Satyam's fictitious cash to acquire two companies owned by his family. Investor anger eventually got him to back off.

WORLD BANK BAN | A few months before Maytas, the World Bank, whose IT network was managed by Satyam, banned it for eight years: the Bank found that spyware installed in its finance and HR software was transmitting every tap and click back to Satyam's operations in Chennai. Shortly before this, Upaid Systems, a US software company specializing in online payments for mobile phone companies which had outsourced work to Satyam, sued it. It alleged that Satyam's performance was shoddy, it had inserted a Raju relative on board, stolen patented ideas and sold those to two telecom companies.

On 7 January 2009, company Chairman Ramalinga Raju resigned after notifying its board members and the SEBI that he had falsified accounts.

Rescue Plans?

The best way to rescue Satyam from this situation is for the government to ask NR Narayana Murthy, former chief of Infosys, to take over as the CEO of Satyam. He is almost the only person with the capacity and credibility to rescue the company from its current plight. His reputation for integrity is formidable, so he is a rare individual who can quickly cleanse Satyam of the Raju taint. And since he no longer has executive duties at Infosys, he should be available for the task.

Satyam is still profitable. Even while confessing to cooking the books, promoter Ramalinga Raju said that Satyam’s profits in the last quarter were not Rs 649 crore but Rs 61 crore. The lower figure, representing a very low operating margin of 3%, is nevertheless a substantial profit, and is a perfectly good basis for survival.

The company can be saved if the government guarantees new bank credit to Satyam. That will enable the company to pay salaries till such time as the company’s books are fully investigated.

Cynics will say it does not matter if Satyam goes bust, since much of its business and staff will ultimately get redistributed to other Indian companies. But meanwhile much business will be lost, and many employee families will suffer tragedies. It is better to save the ship than just salvage something from the wreckage.

On 26th of Nov, the financial capital of our country i.e. MUMBAI was attacked by terrorist in 12 different places. The bloodbath continues for about 59 hrs and this time along with common people, the elite group came under the attack. So from this we can say that terrorist had already learned that they have to attack the big fish in order to attract some attention because the life of common people in INDIA is quite cheap and it is of no use to waste their effort on them. So what we have learned from this situation that even the people in highly sophisticated building with bunch of some local guards on the main door are not safe. That as a country we have no Intelligence system, no security, nothing. But what do we have. Well, we have our shameful ministers (as our HOME MINISTER MR. SHIVRAJ PATIL have no self respect and still continuing as a minister, i hope he would get sacked), senseless political system (as BJP launched different advertisement in the newspapers, want to poise this situation concerning election). In the newspapers there were loads of articles that we have to improve the situation in pak or tighten the security system etc. and channels were showing that Mumbai was still on track (along with there stupid tagline “this news was first on this channel”).But in reality we really don’t care unless that situation come up to us because we vote that same insane politician every time.

On the day when people were got killed and our brave soldiers (the only hope of our nation) were fighting, and there were people in the mall shopping. Well on one hand it is a good thing that the mumbaikars(or any part of this nation) the people are so brave but on other hand they really don’t care that how many people were killed or injured because they don’t know them personally (now a days who give a damn about being INDIAN).So in that situation where people don’t take care of each other or they have some short-term memory loss(as they forget the situation quite easily and get on track),therefore we depend on our political system which is even more worse. Ultimately where we have to go or what we to do in order to get security, education, food, shelter or anything that anyone want. That means we need a change or we have to change everything around us or even ourselves a bit. The answer to the question lies in the question itself.

Basic steps that our govt can take…..

1.) We need a FEDERAL AGENCY which can collect confidential material frm different states or sources ,collect it and then take out their operation.Govt can make this agency without taking state govt into consideration(as they can object) by passing an amendment to the constitution of INDIA.
2.)Govt has to de-centralized NSG so that each state can ve its own NSG wing.
3.)Any kind of terrorist act(possession of a weapon or helping the terrorist) has to be declared as a FEDRAL CRIME.
4.)We need special courts to deal with FEDERAL CRIMES so that the verdict can be out as soon as possible.
5.)Govt can make special laws for FEDERAL CRIMES or make an amendment in our LAW SYSTEM and make it more strict by raising it to DEATH PENALTY.

As u can see that even a common person like me ve solution(not permanent)…do u think that these politicians don’t ve these kind of sol….certainly they do…but they cant implement coz of party members or allies supporting the govt. that is the main prob in our country i.e. IMPLEMENTATION……

So ultimately the main solution to the prob is us coz we ve created it by choosing the wrong person as our representative ……..

Bajrang Dal and VHP to be banned in India?

Although it is the Maoists who claim that they killed Swami Laxmananada, the VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) is convinced that it was the Christian community which was behind the Swami’s killing.

In 2002, the VHP lynched five Dalits in Haryana for following their traditional trade of leather-tanning, as revealed by a dead cow in their possession. Over a carcass, the VHP killed innocent Dalit youths in Jhajhhar.

In Gujarat, we witnessed a hate propaganda let loose by VHP against the Muslim community. It promoted anti-Muslim sentiments and this led to large-scale bloodshed in the State. Hate-mongers and preachers of violence like Praveen Bhai Togadia are responsible for inciting mass hysteria against the Muslim community in Gujarat. There are numerous documents, movies, documentaries, etc, publicly available which reveal the true colour of VHP.

Violence, triggered by the killing of Swami Laxmananada by the Maoists, has spread in the State. For the VHP, the Maoists are innocent and the Christians are the real culprits. According to VHP’s rationale, the killing of the Swami had to do with his mission of re-conversion of Hindus and the Christians therefore had a valid reason to eliminate the Swami.The VHP has totally rejected the claim of the Maoists that they killed the Swami.

The government has admitted that 558 houses and 17 churches and prayer houses have been burnt in the violence which is still continuing.
Unofficial sources claim that over 30 people have been killed in the violence in Kandhamal district alone.

Is it the time to put VHP n Bajrang Dal amg terrorist grps n totally restrict their activities ??.

In April 2006, two Bajrang Dal activists were killed in nearby Nanded in the process of bomb making. The same group of activists were also suspected for perpetrating the 2003 Parbhani mosque blasts. Those arrested later told interrogators they wanted to avenge several blasts across the country.NDTV subsequently accused the police of a coverup in Nandhed. A report by the Secular Citizen's Forum & PUCL, Nagpur claimed to have found maps of mosques at the home of one of the deceased.
The VHP leader, Praveen Togadia, was arrested in April 2003 after distributing tridents to Bajrang Dal activists in Ajmer defying ban and prohibitory orders.
The Bajrang Dal has also been involved in bombmaking accidents on August 6, 2006 in Nanded, and on August 24, 2008 in Kanpur.
Aug-Sept 2008: Spate of attacks on Christians in Orissa and Karnataka. Karnataka unit head Mahendra Kumar arrested. Home ministry says Bajrang Dal is behind the attacks.
Jan 1999 : Dal mob led by its local leader, Dara Singh, burnt alive Graham Stains and his two little sons in Orissa.
On several occasions, Dal activists have acted as moral police, catching unmarried couples on Valentine's Day and forcing them to apply sindoor or tie rakhi against their wishes.

Section 49-O of the Constitution

Do you know that there is a system in our constitution, as per the 1969 act, in section "49-O" that a person can go to the polling booth,
confirm his identity, get his finger marked and convey the presiding election officer that he doesn't want to vote anyone!

Yes such a feature is available, but obviously these seemingly notorious leaders have never disclosed it. This is called "49-O".

Though 49’O is a benign provision, and would not affect the election results. But it will be a proof of our disapproval of unworthy candidates. Till now, non-participation in election is considered as silent consent. But This provision will bring our DISSENT to the surface.

This would bring fear into parties and hence look for genuine candidates for their parties for election. This would change the way, of our whole political system... it is seemingly surprising why the election commission has not revealed such a feature to the public....

Please spread this news to as many as you know... Seems to be a wonderful weapon against corrupt parties in India... show your power, expressing your desire not to vote for anybody, is even more powerful than voting... so don't miss your chance.

Is there any similarity b/w Gandhi's QUIT INDIA Movement and kashmir's QUIT INDIA Movement....think......Over five lakh ppl turn out at the rally, n now its clear that common ppl n their sentiments r the driving force of this movement !!!! In the rally the crowd insistently shouted slogans like "HAME CHAYIHE AZADI" n "JIYO JIYO PAKISTAN" N even put up a green flag in support !!! there r several other slogans like BHARAT TERI MAUT AAYI , LASHKAR AAYI LASHKAR AAYI ........ MARO YA MAR JAO.....many banners were written in English n addressed to UN.....like RIGHT TO SELF-DETERMINATION IN EAST TIMOR,MONTENEGRO,QUEBEC N KOSOVO then WHY NOT IN KASMIR...WORLD BODIES WAKE UP FOR KASHMIR...WE NEED INDEPENDENCE FRM INDIA!!!! wat do u think abt this issue???? is it right that"India need azadi frm kashmir as much as kashmir need azadi frm India !!!!!

WHY WE NEED THE DEAL

This deal can ensure India supply of Uranium for power production. India has very less uranium. We have largest amount of Thorium but technolgy to develop power from it will take some time. We have limited supply of coal which is used in thermal power plants. Hydro projects like Tehri Dam take very long time to be constructed. Gas based power is very costly as we have to import it. Solar and Wind energy are at very initial stage and costly too. India growing at speed of 8-9 percent GDP needs power, electricity.. If we feel to deliver our economy will be destroyed. And for power, this deal is only way out... which left and BJP dont want to happen

ACUTE SHORTAGE OF URANIUM

Faced with an acute shortage of uranium to run existing power stations, the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd has advanced its maintenance schedule and started shutting down individual power units. Usually, these units are shut down in a staggered manner but this time they have been bunched together so that authorities get time to arrange for uranium supplies

NO URANIUM NO POWER

Over the past few weeks, as many as five units amounting to 1000 MW of the total 4000 MW were shut down on account of upkeep of plants: two units from Tarapur (Maharashtra) and one each from Kaiga (Karnataka), Kalpakkam (Tamil Nadu) and Kakrapar (Gujarat). Already, most of the plants that were running at 90-95 per cent capacity until last year are now down to 50-70 per cent reflecting the serious uranium crisis facing the country.

WE NEED DEAL BECAUSE
With the nuclear deal taking more and more time, the Indian programme has to depend on domestic uranium supplies which show few signs of matching the efficiency of reactors. In short, the choking of the indigenous programme due to fuel shortage is soon becoming a reality.

Highlights of the Deal:
* The agreement not to hinder or interfere with India's nuclear programme for military purposes.

* US will help India negotiate with the IAEA for an India-specific fuel supply agreement.

* Washington will support New Delhi develop strategic reserves of nuclear fuel to guard against future disruption of supply.

* In case of disruption, US and India will jointly convene a group of friendly supplier countries to include nations like Russia, France and the UK to pursue such measures to restore fuel supply.

* Both the countries agree to facilitate nuclear trade between themselves in the interest of respective industries and consumers.

* India and the US agree to transfer nuclear material, non-nuclear material, equipment and components.

* Any special fissionable material transferred under the agreement shall be low enriched uranium.

* Low enriched uranium can be transfered for use as fuel in reactor experiments and in reactors for conversion or fabrication.

* The ambit of the deal include research, development, design, construction, operation, maintenance and use of nuclear reactors, reactor experiments and decommissioning.

* The US will have the right to seek return of nuclear fuel and technology but it will compensate for the costs incurred as a consequence of such removal.

* India can develop strategic reserve of nuclear fuel to guard against any disruption of supply over the lifetime of its reactors.

* Agreement provides for consultations on the circumstances, including changed security environment, before termination of the nuclear cooperation.

* Provision for one-year notice period before termination of the agreement.

* The US to engage Nuclear Suppliers Group to help India obtain full access to the international fuel market, including reliable, uninterrupted and continual access to fuel supplies from firms in several nations.

* The US will have the right to seek return of nuclear fuel and technology.

* In case of return, Washington will compensate New Delhi promptly for the "fair market value thereof" and the costs incurred as a consequence of such removal.

* Both the countries to set up a Joint Committee for implementation of the civil nuclear agreement and development of further cooperation in this field.

* The agreement grants prior consent to reprocess spent fuel.

* Sensitive nuclear technology, nuclear facilities and major critical components can be transferred after amendment to the agreement.

* India will establish a new national facility dedicated to reprocessing safeguarded nuclear material under IAEA safeguards.

* Nuclear material and equipment transferred to India by the US would be subject to safeguards in perpetuity.

Section 377 of IPC punishes those indulging in intercourse 'against the order of nature' with a minimum imprisonment of 10 years. Same-sex marriages or transgenders are still illegal in India. The legal battle for deletion of this section is on in the Delhi High Court by Human right activists. Even if HC rules in favour of transgenders it would mean little if corresponding legal rights were not conferred on them through amendments to the constitution.

However the question is---whether a transgender or a hijra can contest from a seat reserved for a women--is still pending decision before the Supreme Court for last five years. The laws relating to marriage wud need necessary changes to give transgenders the right to put a "T" in place of the conventional "M"(for male) and "F"(for female) in appropriate boxes of the numerous forms that one fills in his/her lifetime.........think & express ur views........

Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century, and its projected continuation. The average global air temperature near the Earth's surface increased 0.74 ± 0.18 °C (1.33 ± 0.32 °F) during the hundred years ending in 2005.The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes "most of the observed increase in globally averaged temperatures since the mid-twentieth century is very likely due to the observed increase in anthropogenic (man-made) greenhouse gas concentrations via the greenhouse effect. Natural phenomena such as solar variation combined with volcanoes probably had a small warming effect from pre-industrial times to 1950 and a small cooling effect from 1950 onward.

Carbon dioxide and other gases warm the surface of the planet naturally by trapping solar heat in the atmosphere. This is good thing because it keeps our planet habitable. However, by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas, and oil, and cleaning our forests we have dramatically increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere and the temperatures are rising.

Almost everyone of us have a very good knowledge about global warming and what are its effect but the main point is whether or not we care about what is going on and do we know any kind of solution to stop it...

SOLUTION TO GLOBAL WARMING(PERSONAL SOLUTIONS)

1.)The car you drive:the most important personal climate decision
When you buy your next car, look for the one with the best fuel economy in its class. Each gallon of gas you use is responsible for 25 pounds of heat-trapping gases in the atmosphere. Better gas mileage not only reduces global warming, but will also save you thousands of dollars at the pump over the life of the vehicle. Compare the fuel economy of the cars you're considering and look for new technologies like hybrid engines.

2.)Choose clean power
More than half the electricity in the United States comes from polluting coal-fired power plants. And power plants are the single largest source of heat-trapping gas. None of us can live without electricity, but in some states, you can switch to electricity companies that provide 50 to100percent renewable energy.

3.)Look for Energy Star
When it comes time to replace appliances, look for the Energy Star label on new appliances (refrigerators, freezers, furnaces, air conditioners, and water heaters use the most energy). These items may cost a bit more initially, but the energy savings will pay back the extra investment within a couple of years. Household energy savings really can make a difference: If each household in the United States replaced its existing appliances with the most efficient models available, we would save $15 billion in energy costs and eliminate 175 million tons of heat-trapping gases.

4.)Unplug a freezer
One of the quickest ways to reduce your global warming impact is to unplug the extra refrigerator or freezer you rarely use (except when you need it for holidays and parties). This can reduce the typical family's carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 10 percent.

5.)Light bulbs matter
If every household in the United States replaced one regular light bulb with an energy-saving model, we could reduce global warming pollution by more than 90 billion pounds over the life of the bulbs; the same as taking 6.3 million cars off the road. So, replace your incandescent bulbs with more efficient compact fluorescents, which now come in all shapes and sizes. You'll be doing your share to cut back on heat-trapping pollution and you'll save money on your electric bills and light bulbs.

6.)Buy good wood
When buying wood products, check for labels that indicate the source of the timber. Supporting forests that are managed in a sustainable fashion makes sense for biodiversity, and it may make sense for the climate too. Forests that are well managed are more likely to store carbon effectively because more trees are left standing and carbon-storing soils are less disturbed.

7.)Plant a tree
You can also make a difference in your own backyard. Get a group in your neighborhood together and contact your local arborist or urban forester about planting trees on private property and public land. In addition to storing carbon, trees planted in and around urban areas and residences can provide much-needed shade in the summer, reducing energy bills and fossil fuel use.
