Met up with Tigerfish last week for lunch at Swensen's. Currently, Swensen's is offering a 1-for-1 lunch promotion on weekdays from 11am to 2pm. The offer which is valid for all food items (except drinks and desserts) will end on 30 June 2009.

Besides carrot soup, Tigerfish and I ordered Crayfish Pasta and Chili Fish Pasta (actually should be called "Tomato Sauce Fish Pasta" since I requested for tomato sauce instead of the spicy oriental sauce) respectively. :D

The signboard for this stall selling fish ball noodles, etc really caught my attention when I passed by it. The name of the stall 爱麺子 which sounds like 爱面子, literally means face-saving when translated into English! However, what it really means is "a liking (爱) for noodles made from wheat (麺)". ;p

Great savings for big (each weigh ~ 500g), sweet and juicy China Feng Swee Li (丰水梨 ). Bought 2 from Giant Hypermarket yesterday and they cost $1.75 (i.e. each cost less than a dollar!). Some fruit stalls sell them @ $1.50 each!

Tips: To buy sweet and juicy ones, select those with pores which are distributed far apart from each other.
