But first let me be crystal clear.  We are a nation of immigrants and they as Ms Rice said “have been a core of our strength.” I believe that as my family came through Ellis Island.  The fact that we are a country of people with wonderful and diverse backgrounds from all over the world makes us great.  But the problem of today has little to do with Immigration to the US but it has to do with ILLEGAL Immigration by  mostly people from south of the border.  Yep I said it out loud because it is the truth.  And let me be clear I have NOTHING against anybody from anywhere so don’t you go there.  And by the way, I like Condoleeza and have appreciated her leadership.  But even she is missing the reality of this.

So here are some reasons why ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS have become the “enemy.”

1. Illegal is wrong, pure and simple.  I am a ‘rule-of law’ kind of guy.  We have laws that need to be enforced!
2. The fact that we are cajoled to call Illegal Immigrants Undocumented Workers/Residents is ridiculous.  This is a lie and a dirty slight of hand.
3. Illegal Immigrants can break laws and do not have to suffer the consequences for doing so.  How many illegal immigrants have committed crimes and have been let off the hook and not even deported.  But if I break the law I get in trouble and have to pay the price.
4. Illegal Immigrants refuse to assimilate to the American Way of Life.  If you look at the history of immigration in the USA, immigrants assimilated and were proud to become Americans.  They still held onto their roots and home country traditions but they became Americans, learned English and loved this nation.  Today’s Illegal Immigrants come on the wrong foot first by breaking the law and then piss all over this nation while refusing to learn the language and our traditions.  Not to mention the fact that they root against the US in soccer and other sports.
5. How come some people who want to immigrate to the US do it legally, wait in line, pay lawyers, etc to become US citizens while others think they do not have to obey the rules of the land.  Are our policies racist, yes but to Filipinos, Hungarians, and Australians who do the right thing and follow the process. And what ever happened quotas from different countries?  Having the overwhelming number of Immigrants coming from across the border is not in the spirit of diversity.
6. Illegal immigrants demand that their language be used in our schools.  Who are they to demand anything.  Schools across the nation are spending billions of dollars flexing to the ‘needs’ of illegal immigrants.
7. Illegal immigrants do not pay taxes but demand entitlements including food stamps, free breakfasts and health care.
8. Illegal immigrants come here and push citizens around demanding this and that and calling you a racist and hate monger if you do not agree with them.  And if you criticize them in any way you are a racist hateful person.  It has nothing to do with race.
9. Groups like La Raza openly call for the overthrow of the US government.
10. Illegal immigrants have bigger voice and command more help and support then legal citizen Rednecks.

I hope this answers your question Ms Rice.  It has nothing to do with racism or hate but real fairness and common sense.

Bill Maher, who has been featured many times on STR as a Redneck hater, was at it again a few weeks back on the Super Tuesday of the Republican primaries in the Souoth (March 13^th) when he tweeted this message:

“Toothless Tuesday too tight to tally! We’re gathered around the magic picture box with a bowl of grits watching the returns come in!”

Wow, really I guess all Rednecks must have no teeth, are ignorant and eat grits.  Why this must be true is because no one in the media had a problem with this 5 foot 1 inch troll faced idiot saying what he said.  Imagine if anything close to this was said about a minority group, about gay people, or just about any other group of people.  There would have been pure outrage and a mass media response decrying these words.  But as it was applied to Rednecks nobody said anything.

What a joke. In this world of hypersensitivity where you can’t say anything about someone who is fat or even state facts that might be offensive to ILLEGAL aliens or it is considered hate speech, this was allowed to happen with some laughter.

What a joke this is.  People always telling me to be tolerant of others and forcing a fanatical view of diversity on me.  But when it comes to Rednecks you can say what ever you want.   This has got to stop.  We need to stand up and say no more.

And we have been hearing about bullying so much on the news.  There is even a new movie in theaters about bullying. (What a crock, I have been bullied everyday of my life but I stand up for myself and move on.) Of course as it seems, you can only be a bully if you are being mean to certain groups of people.

And by their own definition, Bill Maher is a bully.  Think about it, at his shows he has only people in the audience who blindly follow him.  He tries to intimidate people with his harshness of words while his minions back him up with shouts and applause.  He says things hiding behind a camera or in tweets.  I would like to see how tough if would talk if he was out surrounded by a bunch of Rednecks.  Bill Maher is a little, insecure, wanna-be intellectual.  But what scares me most is how many people like him and listen to him.  He makes tons of money and just gave a million dollars to Obama’s campaign.  And yet he is allowed to say what he says about Rednecks?  We need to say that this is no longer acceptable.  If we do not stick up for ourselves who will?

I was never a huge fan of her music but like everybody else I really liked her rendition of the National Anthem at the Superbowl in the nineties. And of course she did a heck of a job with Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You.” She was a very pretty woman. I actually saw her in person pretty close up at the Special Olympic games years back where she also sang the National Anthem. I never saw the movie the Bodyguard but her music was around me when I was growing up and some of my girlfriends liked her bee-boppy songs.

With that said I think to truly honor Whitney we should take some lessons from her death. If I am really honest with you, there is a part of me that does not want to pity her and her issues. I mean she was pretty, rich, talented, a movie-star, a music star etc. What else do you want in life and then just to throw it away because of drugs.

First, I think a lesson is that being rich and famous maybe isn’t all that great. If you really look at it there is a lot of phoniness about it. That stuff does not make you happy. In fact it distorts everything, look at Heath Ledger, Michael Jackson, Anna Nicole etc. And yet there are so many people trying to be a famous star. Look at how many people cry to be on American Idol, The Voice, the X-factor, The Bachelor, Big Brother and a whole lot more ridiculous reality TV shows. Maybe society should step back and evaluate this desire and drive ‘cause it just seems like a shame. Maybe people should just focus on being good people and living a good life. And if that leads you to or not to stardom, cool.

Addiction is a terrible thing. From what I have seen and read about it, it takes over your life and changes the physiology of your brain. That is why we must be careful not to judge Whitney too much. But what makes someone like Whitney take that first step towards drugs and addiction? What are they missing in their life that makes then get on that road? Man, shouldn’t we just look to be happy on our own terms.

And what about Whitney’s friends and entourage? Where are they now? Well they are giving eulogies about her greatness. Why weren’t they there to support her rehab and get her out of her addiction? Not good friends at all and yet they have the nerve to praise her after her death. Maybe they should have been courageous enough to help her during her life instead of just trying to get rich by being around her.

A few years back the term DIVA became popular and something aspirational to many girls in this nation. Whitney was considered one of the original group of Divas. So let me get this right. A diva by definition is a high maintenance, self-absorbed, narcissist, b-word. Seriously, this is what people thought was a good thing. VH1 did a show to celebrate this?!? Come on now, maybe we as a society should have said no to this concept. Now we have generations of idiots trying to be divas. Really not a good thing.

And finally, someone at Whitney’s funeral said that we should not focus on the bad things of stars but only on the good stuff because they gave so much to us. Hey my friend, they already got a lot from us including a privileged life, much money and adoration. The press coverage on Whitney trying to project her as a saint just because she sang well is uncomfortable to me. This does not take away from her music or her positive inspiration to so many but let’s get real. She was great in some ways and flawed in some way just like everyone else. Really no better and no worse than anybody else. Our idolizing of stars causes concern. The best people I know of are not famous but live good lives everyday helping people whenever they can.

Did Whitney have it all….no, or she would still be with us today. She could still be singing and taking advantage of the opportunity to help others. I think it is important to see this for what it is and learn from it as a society instead of ignoring the ugly aspects of the story and not learn from them. May all the dearly departed, famous or not, rest in peace.

And of course one of the leaders of this crazy, not-logical, unfair, unjust approach is Los Angeles California (But it is going on all over the place but it is just that LA doesn’t even try to hide it.)

Right now the current Mayor of LA, Antonio Villalagrosa (Although for the majority of his life he was known as Tony Villar until he got into politics) and Chief of Police Charlie Beck are trying to ramrod a law to take it easy on unlicensed drives, most of which of course are illegal immigrants, by not immediately impounding their cars when pulled over or at sobriety check points.

Are you kidding me? You and I and authentic citizens of America have to get and pay for our licenses and obey the law and also get insurance for our cars. And yet illegals don’t have to do any of this. Can you imagine the fact that citizens are being oppressed while illegals are not expected to abide by the laws. Well no duh Sherlock—illegals begin their life in the USA disobeying the laws so why expect anything for them expect to get free welfare, get Spanish spoken in our schools and free breakfasts/lunch for their kids.

Think about it, if you or I break the law we get into trouble. Not so for illegal immigrants. My state forces me to by insurance for my car but a part of that insurance cost is to protect me when the person who hits me does not have insurance. In reality I am paying for someone else’s car insurance.

I have had cops across this country tell me that they either do not pull over illegal immigrants or write them traffic tickets because they know that they will provide wrong information and will never show up in court. Mostly though they are afraid of giving traffic tickets to illegal immigrants because they are afraid of being accused of racism.

And by the way, one of the reasons for these policies is that illegal immigrants, who should not be here, are poor. Well I know a lot of Redneck people who are poor and nobody cuts them any slack. Where are the free meals for kids of Rednecks? When does a cop let me go for a ticket because I am a Redneck…not going to happen.

A few weeks an unlicensed driver ran down a 60-year-old woman trying to cross the street in Panorama City, CA killing her.  Read this letter to Mayor Villarraigossa form a father who lost his son to an illegal immigrant driver. Imagine if this was your kid? Tell me what you think.

Dear Mayor Villaraigosa: On November 16, 2010 my son Drew, a 25 year old 2nd year law student, was killed by an unlicensed driver in San Francisco. On June 14, 2010, Roberto Galo was caught driving the wrong way down a one way street, driving without a license and driving without insurance. He was arrested and his car was impounded. Less than 24 hours later he had his car back and continued to drive it until he “murdered” my son. On July 27, 2010 he was allowed to plead to the lesser offense of driving the wrong way down a one way street and his driving without a license charge and driving without insurance charges were dropped. At that time he had already been driving again for over 45 days.

My son was driving home from law school. Galo, made a last second left hand turn, without his blinker, trying to beat the changing light. He collided with my son who was on his motorcycle. As they were both going slowly (and Galo was at a complete stop before he made his last second turn) my son probably survived the collision. The medical examiner said he had no head injuries. Instead of stopping Galo accelerated and his right front tire drove over my son’s abdomen. When he couldn’t continue forward because my son’s body and his bike blocked his way he backed up driving over his body a second time. Continuing his attempt to flee he then went forward again driving over him a third time only stopping because a brave citizen had gotten out of his car and stood in front of Galo’s car stopping his progress. Unfortunately, he stopped with his right tire on my son’s abdomen. Five men had to lift the car off his body. My son’s death was only one last year of the hundreds caused by unlicensed drivers in California every year.

How dare you even discuss making it easier and cheaper for unlicensed drivers to continue to break the law. Since when does the “community” get to decide what laws they will obey? Since when do you have the authority to ignore the law? The law is very clear. I suggest you, your staff and Chief Beck read it.

Your spokesperson, Peter Sanders was quoted in the Los Angeles Times on November 23 as saying, “We’re going to balance the needs of the community and the desires of the community versus public safety which is paramount”. As unlicensed drivers are 5 times more likely to be involved in a fatal accident, 5 times more likely to drive drunk and over 4 times more likely to flee (see above) even if you had the authority, which you do not, to ignore the law that should end the discussion right there.

Furthermore, the reason that the unlicensed drivers want to be able to drive is to leave the “community”. After all if they stayed in the “community” they wouldn’t need to drive. How do you propose to keep them out of my community and all of the other communities in California who oppose unlicensed drivers from driving?

Your “new policy” besides being illegal and unsafe is also irrational and illogical. Besides the hundreds of deaths caused every year by unlicensed drivers there are thousands of people injured and hundreds of millions of dollars in repair costs which are rarely covered by the unlicensed driver since they rarely have any insurance and when they do it’s practically worthless.

Whenever traffic laws are not obeyed enforcement and fines are increased. Your proposal does just the opposite. Are the deaths, injuries and costs not sufficient? This proposed policy is not only irresponsible but criminal. You will be aiding and abetting criminal activity that you know will result in more deaths and injuries and additional loss of and destruction of property. There are no needs and desires of the “community”, particularly people who are already violating the law just by being here, that even justifies this policy being discussed.

Assistant Chief Mike Moore does a nice job of “spinning” the court decision regarding the “community caretaking doctrine” trying to make it look like your proposed policy would be in line with the court’s ruling. The court was challenged that the act of impoundment was unconstitutional and violated due process. Their decision allows the impoundment, period. The law assumes, and rightfully so, based on the irrefutable statistics that driving without a license is a threat to public safety. There are very few exceptions that allow a car not to be impounded and the “needs and the desires of the community” is certainly not one of them. Lt. Andy Neiman said, “Our intention is to uphold the laws and do our best to insure to address public concerns while still ensuring public safety.”

Nice statement but pure bull-xxxx. If you uphold the law, which you are constitutionally obligated to do you cannot address the public (“community”) concerns which is the desire to be able to drive regardless of the fact that they don’t have licenses….while still ensuring public safety. Regardless of the law please explain to me how you ensure public safety by allowing and empowering unlicensed drivers to drive in light of their horrendous driving records?

Chief Beck made a statement in March when he announced that the police would stop impounding cars that, “This will make the roads safer”. That statement should have resulted in you immediately terminating him. That statement was a blatant lie and so stupid that either reason certainly disqualified him as being the Chief of Police of Los Angeles. In 2009 Chief Bratton announced that he was going to stop impounding cards of unlicensed drivers. In less than a week you overruled him.

What has changed? Excuse me for being so cynical but could it be that in 2013 you will be running for a new office? We just saw Gil (One “Kill” Gil) Cedillo champion AB 353 which will stop the impoundment of cars of unlicensed drivers caught at sobriety checkpoints. Low and behold a week after Governor Brown signed the bill (a bill I might add that I will be challenging either in court or through the initiative process) he announced his 2013 run for city council. Could you pander anymore than you did to La Opinion last week with your statement that “we should honor our history by welcoming people and bring {the undocumented} out of the shadows.” How about honoring the rule of law which not only states that if you are here illegally you can’t get a license and therefore you can’t drive and which also has established guidelines for entering this country legally.

My wife and I testified in Sacramento against Senator Allen and Assemblyman Cedillo’s bill. Cedillo told a series of lies and half truths all of which I have researched. I have asked his chief of staff to produce evidence backing up Cedillo’s claims but of course he has never responded because he can’t. I now see the National Lawyers Guild and the Southern California Immigration Coalition have issued a report accusing the Police Department of due process violations, racial profiling and using pretextual stops to target immigrant drivers. I haven’t seen the report so I can’t comment on it.

However, even if the report is true the solution is to make sure the Police Department (another reason to fire Beck?) follows the law, not allow illegal immigrants to break the law. We’ve just seen the report that some guards in county jails are abusing prisoners. Is the solution to stop arresting and jailing criminals? By now I am sure that you have labeled me a right-wing racist bigot. Nothing could be further from the truth. I am a life-long liberal who has never shied away from claiming to be a liberal. I supported the Dream Act. I support a process to legitimize many illegal immigrants and provide a path to citizenship for others. I even support allowing illegal immigrants to obtain drivers licenses. But I am also a grieving parent who has lost his son because the state has refused to enforce the law, the DMV refuses to enforce the law, the city of San Francisco refuses to enforce the law and now the City of Los Angeles wants to join this illustrious club.

I don’t really give a dam what nationality the driver who killed my son is. All I know is that had the law been followed he would be alive today.

First, I have not been a huge Tebow fan mostly because The Florida Gators is not my team. Same goes for the Denver Broncos. But I have always liked him and his toughness on the field and the fact he was strong on what he believed in. And if you look closer and listen with more attention you would realize that Tim has some Redneck Tendencies.

So here is what I do not get. Why does this discussion keep going on and on about Tebow’s faith. He is who he is, let it go. I mean there are facebook pages and websites created just to hate on Tebow. Really? People are spending so much energy on hating this dude who seems like a decent person and has conviction? Really? If he was a devout Muslim do you think there would be all this controversy, yes controversy over this guy?!?!?

Seriously was there any face book sites created to hate on Ben Roethlisberger when he sexually assaulted women, or when just recently that Chicago Bear’s Wide receiver was charged with drug running or when Plaxico Burress was put in jail for fighting etc???  Even the Michel Vick thing faded away relatively quickly and it only stayed a while due to the Animal Activists.  And Yet people, TV talk shows, sports radio programs are a buzz talking about Tebow’s faith like it is a crime to be a believer.  Are you kidding me.

I hear all the time that Tebow is a polarizing character. Can someone please tell me why? And it must be said that Tebow himself has said that God does not care about who wins football games (which is true) and yet most of Tebow’s critics assume or accuse him of this. What a joke! Redneck Hater Bill Maher said a disgusting thing about Jesus and Tebow after a Bronco’s loss on the last game of the season. It was so disgusting I will not even reference it here.

Again, why is this not considered hate speech as it would be if Tim was a Muslim or another group. In the end I can’t help but pull for this guy. He seems like a decent man, doesn’t force anything on anyone and is a great football player. I loved that he stuffed it in his critics face after beating the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. (I do not care if people criticize his throwing motion but when they piss on him because of his faith, well you know where they can go. I am telling you people, there is something going wrong in this country. Our heroes should be people like Tebow and the soldiers in the Middle East not crappy reality TV personalities.  I keep telling you that our life as Rednecks is under fire!

Last Saturday  I had the chance for the first time in my life to play Santa Claus for a bunch of kids.  I was nervous and overheating in the suit and quite frankly felt a little embarrassed about it. But then came the moment when I emerged to the thirty or so children in the room to Bruce Springsteen’s “Santa Clause is Coming to Town.”  And you know what…it was magical to see those kid’s faces light up.  Way cool and fun as heck as I HO-HO’d and gave out gifts to so many thank you’s and Merry Christmas from the kids.  I even got them to sing some Christmas carols with me.

It got me thinking about the craziness about the whole Merry Christmas vs. the Happy Holidays thing and how really stupid it is.  Can you imagine the governor from Rhode Island refusing to call the state Christmas Tree anything but a Holiday Tree.  Duh, that’s what it is called historically.  That’s as stupid as calling the Jewish Menorah a Holiday Candelabra.  Which would never happen!

The entire debate is so ridiculous.  And what’s most ironic about it is that the people who are trashing Christmas so much are the very self righteous activists who pontificate on tolerance and diversity.  To quote the Brad Stine bit “what problem do these people have with Peace on Earth or Good Will to Men?”  What hypocrites.  I have a friend from India which is a overwhelmingly a Hindu nation , who says that everyone in India says Merry Christmas.

I am an easy going guy until people start to take away my rights and culture.  That is the very reason why we started Save The Redneck.  And to be honest, now when I go to the store I make it a point to say Merry Christmas to the clerk and demand that he says it back and that he or she does not respond with a weak Happy Holidays.  Isn’t it funny that saying Merry Christmas is now an act of defiance.  Don’t tread on my Holiday, dude!

And the energy and effort put out by atheists and liberals to stop nativities, menorahs and Christmas trees is at a fever pitch.  Google it for yourself as I have provided you with only one.  It’s amazing that these self thought enlightened people are sooooo angry about this.  In Port Angeles Washington people are stealing baby Jesus figurines form people’s front yard Nativity scenes.  How is this not considered a religiously related hate crime of sorts. Imagine if these acts were being done to Muslims, there would be outcry of intolerance, and profiling and hate but piss on people celebrating Christmas and it is just back page news.

So most critical,  remember the most important aspects of Christmas and keep it strong in your hearts. And do not let anyone take it away.  Stand up for what you believe!  Be happy this Christmas Season, spend it with the ones you love, celebrate Peace, Good Will , Generosity.  And celebrate it in true Redneck Fashion.  Merry Christmas.

Just for fun, type in the term wussifcation of America and you will find tons of articles and blogs writing about it.  Here is a great clip from a comedian Brad Stine that really nails it.  Most of the stuff is obvious—we can no longer play dodge ball in schools because it is too scary, everyone gets a trophy regardless if you won or not, and grown men acting like women giggling about being metro-sexuals getting their nails done and eyebrows waxed.  WHAT??????

Anyway, there is some good stuff out there on this subject but I wanted to share a couple of reflections that I have not seen out there.

First, this is a call to all Redneck Men to stay men and resist any popular influence to be less than a man. But this is really tough. Let me tell you why.  Everyday, men are emasculated.  Think about it there is a double standard out there.

Today, anytime there is a reference to ‘real men’ it seems always only to be associated with being fat, sitting on the couch and farting.  That’s how the real man thing is portrayed on TV and in the media all the time. We are always portrayed a Neanderthals.  And some duded are following the trend. Too many men today seem to be in a state of permanent pubescence and this is reinforced by pop culture.  Well Rednecks know that being a real man is being tough & strong, being independent, treating a lady like a lady, being smart, being kind to others, taking care of others, standing up for what they believe etc.

But look at most, if not all sit-coms today on TV, the husband is always portrayed as a bumbling but lovable idiot who without a smart wife could not make it through the day.  A few weeks back I saw a V-8 commercial where the man again was a bumbling doofus and his wife hit him on the head to knock some sense into him.  Imagine if that scenario was reversed, there would be women’s group claiming abuse.  Think about the song “Earl’s got to Die” by the Dixie Chicks.  Imagine if the song was “Earlene’s got to Die” the protests of women’s groups would have been intense and immense.

Thank God we still have good male role models like Johnny Cash, Toby Keith and Peyton Manning to name a few.  We as Rednecks must stay strong.  We must love our mommas without becoming a momma’s boy.  We must not be afraid of getting up after getting knocked down and we must fight for the American Redneck’s culture and lifestyle to remain strong and true.

Please be sure to remember why we celebrate Thanksgiving. It is a rich history that begins with the Pilgrims and Indians and progresses through a long line of Pioneers, Farmers, Miners, Hunters….Rednecks if you will. We not only have to remember this past but preserve many of the skills and attributes of those who have gone before us. It seems that some people these days want to ignore or even rewrite history. Our Redneck culture and way of life must be actively preserved, lived and celebrated so it can never be taken away.

Persevering

As Rednecks we need to persevere during these tough times. They are tough economically and they are tough because so many people want to minimalize us or take away our way of life. It is easy to get down but remember this holiday we have an amazing history of being tough and strong. And equal to our history is the fact that we look after each other. Looking after your neighbor is a proud trait of Rednecks and we have to stand together in unity. Just like the Pilgrims had to endure their first winter we will persevere through these times.

Giving Thanks

A good way to live is by having an “attitude of gratitude.” I know that sounds a bit corny but it’s true. There are good deal of people who have a lot of money and stuff but they are not happy because that are not thankful for the real things in life and try to feel good about themselves with material things. I do not have much money but I am happy to be alive and to be a Redneck. Be sure to take the time to look around and be thankful for all that you have. But be most thankful for your family and friends as that is what life is all about. Be sure to be thankful for the freedom that we have in this country and to those who paid the price. It is easy to forget that not everyone in this world has our freedoms. And be thankful for our country, with all its flaws and problems, it is still the best in the world. STR Declares 2011 “The Year of the Redneck”

Rednecks awake, we are losing our 1st amendment rights of Freedom of Speech through a new, subtle and devious censorship. If you reflect on this you will see this as absolute truth.

Just yesterday a Hollywood director , Brett Ratner, was forced to resign as the producer of next year’s Academy Awards show because he “using a gay slur at a screening of his latest film” and “discussed his sexual exploits on a recent episode of The Howard Stern Show.”

So let’s be crystal clear, we at STR do not like what Ratner said or think it is a good thing, so all you crazy people who are going to throw rocks and falsely accuse us of being homophobic or misogynistic, you can go home! Additionally I don’t even know who this guy is and really don’t care.

But let’s get real here, doesn’t this guy have the right to free speech even if I do not like what he says.

So what, he is talking like a sophomore in high school. That’s his prerogative. People say stupid and  immature things or Anti-Redneck things everyday, and I don’t see people correcting their speech. I thought in the USA we could think and speak freely. But this is not the case.

Think about the hundreds of examples just in the past few years where selectively some people where punished for their free speech (and yet some others were not. )  Think about Hank Williams Jr, Juan Williams, Laura Schlesinger and any Tea Party member.

This is the new censorship. We cannot have serious and intellectual conversation about things any more because if someone does not like what you are saying they fake being deeply offended and call you a hatemonger or racist or whatever, which totally ends the discourse. I mean really, can we really talk honestly about the Illegal Immigration without the Illegal Immigrants and their rich Lobbyists and Activists calling anyone who disagrees with them a racist. Can we talk openly about the rise of radical Islam in the US or the world without receiving scornful comments or looks even if you are trying to discuss it candidly and in good faith. The fact is that people cannot express how they really feel about things…but only some people.

But here is where it gets funky—this new censorship is Selective. People from La Raza, a Latino group that pushes for violent and non-violent take over of California and the Southwest for Mexico called the Reconquista, the professor in the Latin Studies department of a Cal State University who calls white people the great evil oppressors, Reverend Wright who said “Gosh-darn America” the people who have called Herman Cain an  “Uncle Tom” and so on can speak freely without anyone even mildly objecting.  Look how the Tea Party people were treated by the press. They were constantly called dumb Rednecks, ignorant, and idiots. And yet the whole Occupy Wall street movement AKA the Flea Party, are presented by the media as great American’s flexing their First Amendment Rights.

Lately there has been a rise in attacks on Christians, we simply get pissed on everyday and nobody says anything about it. Everyday I hear on the TV or radio that Christians are stupid for believing in the fairytale of God or that we have less rights because of separation of church and state. When someone puts a crucifix in a jar of urine and calls it art he is aggressively defended for his free speech but when someone objects to a mosque at Ground Zero they are violently rebuffed. And at the same time Muslims who kill American (Ft Hood Shooter) are protected from any kind of criticism and attention. Think about the last time you hear anything about the Ft hood Shooter. This is the height of hypocrisy.

So I just am saying that it would be fair if we are to end the saying of any group’s anti-slurs we also and equally as vigorously have to end the saying of any anti-Redneck slurs. Would this not be fair?

Where will this stop? The answer is that it will not stop until we wake up and say no more. This simply is mind-control. Well I am an American Redneck and no one will take away my freedom to think and say what I want.

First of all there are some legitimate gripes that the protesters have. Some of these protesters are sincere. A lot of rich people in Wall Street manipulated the market and did bad things and have become excruciatingly rich in the process as they drove our country into a recession.  How come none of these folks are in jail for this?  If I stole money I certainly would be put in jail. Heck they should be tried for treason. And what about the Bank Bail Outs–that’s not capitalism and btw where is my bailout when I need one.  And the reality is that there are some, but not all, rich people who skew the game so they always win—this by the way is not free market capitalism.  So on the surface I agree with the anger of the Wall Street protesters but that’s where much of the commonalty ends.

First of all they do not offer any solutions other than that they are just angry, want their college paid for and want to “kick corporations out of the country.”  That’s just plain stupid. All credibility is lost when I hear these protestors speak, and that is a shame because as I already said there is a legitimate beef there.  But their solutions of anarchy and hippy-days are not solutions at all.

And as a so called 99%er, they don’t speak for me and they don’t represent me so they really need to stop saying so.  Banging on a drum, smoking who knows what, free love and wanting the government to redistribute wealth is not who I am.  Oh and yes, take a shower and stop blaming everyone else for your bad decisions in life.

Listen there are legitimate poor people in this world and I believe that we are called to help them.  And yes, there are injustices in our country and we need to work to make them right but I am not sure coming out and screaming unintelligible chants form the 60’s is the best way to take action.  Yesterday I heard a protester respond when asked what he viewed his purpose of at the protest was  and he said “to contemplate what could be done better.”  Sorry dude, we Americans are people of action.

And by the way, why are these folks not marching on Washington—those folks who are very much tied to Wall Street and big Money.  Funny isn’t it, makes you think hmmm.

And what about the press always presenting these folks as positive American Heroes utilizing their First Amendment Rights?  Especially when the same press worked so hard to paint a negative picture of the Tea Party demonstrations!!!!!  Hmmmmm.

The reality is that there are bad rich people and good rich people, there are bad poor people and good poor people. Money does not make a person.  Real capitalism works as it gets the best out of people and gives everyone a chance to be great.  When it is manipulated it is wrong and no longer capitalism.  But when it is truly free everyone with hard work can get what they really want if they are willing to put in the time.

But for me, I personally WORK HARD to make my life, my family’s life and the world better.  I try to take care of my neighbor and look out for those in need.  I certainly don’t want the government or anyone telling me how and to whom I should be charitable.  It’s my money and I will make that decision. And yes,  life is often unfair but I refuse to look to anyone else to make it better as “I am the master of my soul, the captain of my ship.”
