I'm surprised it is eighteen years since I started blogging. It wasn't planned, it just happened that I stumbled on my old Blog after a whole year has passed again. Reading the old post arouse my curiosity. I just wanted to remember when was it exactly that I started blogging. Well, it was July 2007!

As at today, that is 18years ago!

Over the years, I have not been serious about blogging. Even though I have not stop writing. I wish I keep documenting my thoughts and ramblings. It is quite entertaining reading about real life events that I have long forgotten.

Will I return to serious blogging? Time will tell.

Lord I am grateful for those posts I made in the past. The little Princesses are now young women! I sent a post to one of them. Waiting for her reaction when she will realize it was all about her life experience. Maybe she will even encourage me to start blogging again.

Permission to cry Lord. I know the scripture gives no room for my wish to proof my case. I understand from your Word that I must pass my test before I can be promoted. Lord please send help for my heart is heavy!

Open Letter To Her Excellency

Your Excellency, I’ve been waiting to get at least a note from your end. If anyone had told me that I will get anxious about not hearing from you, I would have shrug it off, that the fellow is ignorant of my busy schedule.

Well, the truth now is that I am anxiously waiting to hear from you. I was told it may take some days before you will gain access to WiFi. That is not comforting news at all. Your departure to R--- wasn’t this painful. I guess that was because I could gate-crash to visit if I so desired. This new school is over 600km away. You will be doing a lot of good if you send just a ping.

Meanwhile, I hope you are keeping a journal of all the events that I missed out on. Her royal majesty promised to bring home pictures that will at least soothe our nerves and compensation for all the fun we missed. We are eagerly awaiting her arrival. She too seems to be missing you already. As she journey back, she is not enthusiastic about given update on the progress of the journey. I guess, mama is missing her baby already.

Yesterday was quite busy as I shuttled between two local assemblies to share with the brethren. Not that I planned it so, but what can I do when Her royal Majesty accepted an invitation without even pre-informing me. Thank God it all went well.

Your Excellency, we are eagerly waiting to get at least a note from you confirming that you are doing fine. We know God is taking care of you just as He is doing overtime in taking care of us. Please don't keep us waiting for too long, lest we are tempted to gate-crash!

Princess Journey To Ivory Tower

Her Excellency, princess number one embarked on the journey to an ivory tower on Friday. Of course she was in the company of Her Royal Majesty who I had to persuade to accompany her. Left for the Queen, I should have escorted the princess on this historic journey.

I had to keep my cellphone by my side as I kept tap on their progress. Text messages were delivered at several intervals to give update on their progress. Eventually, they got to their destination and the Almighty took over. It was favor galore as they were given a royal welcome party. The initial plan to move straight to the Ivory Tower was jettisoned. They decided to enjoy the hospitality for another two days before embarking on the last lap of the journey.

Our God is indeed an awesome God. He makes a way where there seems to be no way.

Her Excellency is 5years today! How did I manage to forget? After series of reminders! It was quite embarrassing that I made such a silly mistake. I pray that she forgives me for this slip. She had promised her classmate that she is coming to school in a new dress and with a well decorated cake for all to celebrate. I was pained that I made this lousy mistake. She deserve to be celebrated. She has been so nice, generous and understanding. That is no reason to take her for granted. Your excellency, please forgive me. I promise this error won't be repeated. Meanwhile, Happy Birthday. Cheers.

Princess Steps Out In Grand Style!

Well, we all expected her to make the big move long before her first year birthday anniversary, but our celebrity loves doing her own thing when it best suit her. The birthday came and passed and she was not ready to put our unwarranted anxiety to rest. She was enjoying herself as she kept us longing for a glimpse of her majestic step-out. Maybe to calm us a little during the Christmas celebration, she showed us some signs, but nobody took those for serious move because it wasn't the first time. Well, yesterday, when nobody expected any unusual surprise from her Excellency. She took some gallant step as she marched out in style in the church. It was quite difficult holding my excitement as I watched her from the altar. Even though it was brief, yet it is a moment I will long remember as one who was privileged to watch her excellency step out in style.

Can organic foods assist you in loosing weight? Well, I'm no doctor, but I have made some personal observations. In recent times, many people have resulted to eating healthy, by insisting on organic foods. Some of those who changed their eating habit and kept to this habit of healthy eating have testified that they have been able to naturally loose some excess fats which they have struggled to loose over the years.

Why is this so, one may ask. Some nutritionist have explained that since organic foods are made up of natural ingredients and are devoid of artificial ingredients, they are naturally more benefitial to our bodies. Coping With Stress

Sometimes, life can become unbearable. So much pressure from all side. You put in your best and yet the result is not what you expect. In such situation what do you do?

The temptation is to throw your hands in the air or throw in the towel. It is quite easy to say, "I quit" but that is the begining of a journey to the land of the defeated folks.

When all goes haywire and you really don't know what to do, then it is time for the Master to step in. Simply turn the troubles over to Jesus. Be rest assured that He knows what to do.

It's been tough for me this past few days. It has been one challenge after the other. All my effort to get things sorted out did not produce the desired result. But after asking some brothers and sisters to pray for me that God will intervene, I am beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. Somebody shout a big halleluyah!

I came across Blogger Mobile (a software for blogging via smartphones) this morning as I was browsing with my Sony Ericsson P1. Out of curiousity, I decided to install it on my phone. After successful installation, I thought I will just test it out! Well, this post is the result of the testing.

I guess now I no longer have an excuse for not updating my blog. I only need to take a picture and send it with a click, lol. No much hassle, I'll have a new blog post here at my blog. An easy way out for a lazy blogger you'll say. I quite agree with you. The only issue now is the extra bucks I will need to pay to the phone company. They don't give MMS free, I have to pay for the data transmission ;-)

Parting With A Beloved One Painful But Necessary

It is painful to part with someone you love. But change is the only thing that is permanent. This weekend, it was time for my local assembly resident Pastor to leave for another assignment. He has just spent 5months with us, but believe me, it is as if he has been with us for 5years. If not that we were under the church authority, some brethren would have carried placards to protest his transfer.

His brief stay in the parish has affected our lives in such a tremendous way that tears flowed freely when we were informed of his transfer. As I ponder on this, I remember that it was a similar emotion I had when the previous pastors were transferred. It was as if nobody else could occupy the position. But then, I was wrong. Each new pastor ended up being as wonderful in his own unique way as the previous.

Much more, I ended up having several pastors that I can call upon and relate with. Thank God for the wisdom of the church authority. The decision to change pastors has done more good to the congregation as we get to benefit from the various gifts deposited by the Almighty in each of this great servants of His. Let somebody shout a big Halleluyah!!

This are no easy time for Nigerians. The global economic crises is taking its toil on the citizens. Saying that the masses are getting impoverished may be an understatement as the Nigerian Naira value continues to fall against major foreign currency. That is bad news to the population of Nigeria that mostly rely on foreign goods.

Unfortunately, the various tiers of Governments are not helping matters with their various new economic and social policies. Instead of making adequate research to understand the plight of the citizens, government officials are attempting to implement laudable policies by the book.
This has added to the hardship being suffered by the average Nigerian. All around, I see people groaning under the heavy economic burden.

It seems nobody really know what to do. It reminds me of the situation that King David must have faced when he wrote that eternal piece in Psalm 121. It is time to look-up unto God for help and succor.

Busy But Guilty!

Well, I am back after a longtime AWOL. I wish to apologize to my readers for running off without any explanation. The truth is, I have been busy doing other things and I practically abandoned this blog. Too bad, it reminds me of a movie I watched titled "Busy But Guilty".

I felt guilty that I abandoned this blog which happens to be my first attempt at blogging. Well, I am back and I intend writing a minimum of one post per week.

This is getting scary! Call me dumb if you like, but this is scary to me. I won't be surprised if they get a dying person who agree to donate his brain for thier next experiment, then we will have a robot controlled by a living human brain! Their report shows that they are already excited by the achivement they've made so far. What gets me scared really is the claim that:

The robot has no additional control from a human or computer.

That means, it is on its own and may just decided to do whatever it pleases. That to me is dangerous!

A friend sent this story to me. Read and be blessed.

Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston , Texas . Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area.

When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, "You'd better give the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it."

Then he thought, "Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it.

Accept it as a 'gift from God' and keep quiet."

When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, "Here, you gave me too much change."

The driver, with a smile, replied, "Aren't you the new preacher in town? I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday."

When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter."

Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is a really scary example of how much people watch us as Christians and will put us to the test!

Always be on guard -- and remember -- You carry the name of Christ on your shoulders when you call yourself "Christian."

Watch your thoughts; they become words.

Watch your words; they become actions.

Watch your actions; they become habits.

Watch your habits; they become character.

Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

Integrity Pays Huge Dividend

I have heard so much been talked about the need for a Christian to have INTEGRITY. However, a recent event in which a businessman showed a high level of Integrity really touched my heart.

He was approached by a newbie in the business world who just got a business opportunity to carry out a job. The newbie lacked the financial capacity required and the fund required was huge. The contract is actually bigger than anything the chrisitian businessman has ever handled in all his years of operating as an entrepreneur.

Naturally, one would have expected the christian businessman to take over the contract and promise the newbie a cut in the expected profit.

Rather, the chrisitian businessman refuse to take over the job and even refused to have a share in anything that may come out of the contract. Instead, he used his wealth of experience to guide the newbie on how he can raise fund for the contract and carry it out.

When I was told the story, I was really dazed. It sounded too good to be true. But it was easy for me to verify. I confirmed that that was what really happened. Some months after the incident, I got a new report from the Christian Businessman. The Lord has smiled on him. He is been awarded a contract that is far above that which the newbie got. For sure the Lord is faithful to reward integrity.

NINE SUGGESTIONS FOR AN AILING MARRIAGE

1. Never consider divorce an option. It is not a solution to your problem. Divorce is not an acceptable alternative because God says it is not.

2. Do not compare your mate or your marriage to others. There is not another person on earth like you. Your mate is also unique. This means that your marriage is unique. Let God make it what He wants it to be. He will make it perfect!

3. Forgive your mate. You are to forgive as Christ has forgiven you. You are a sinner. He or she is a sinner. You are not perfect-so be willing to forgive one another. And do it right away before any bitterness can build up.

4. Stop all criticism. Love does not criticize and find fault. Therefore, if you are critical of your mate, you do not have a heart of love. Stop all criticism. Instead, try a little praise. It works like magic!

5. Start communicating with your mate. Communication is completely broken down in many homes and marriages. Start listening to what your mate is saying as well as to what he or she is not saying. Break down the barriers by being vulnerable. Try saying, "Honey, what is the biggest fault I have?" Then say, "Would you please help me, by the grace of God, to gain victory over that fault?"

6. Refuse any relationship outside your marriage in which affection is sought or given. This substitute could even be a relative, a friend, or a neighbor. Do not seek to make someone else a substitute for what you are not getting in your marriage. You will never solve your problem doing this.

7. Trust your mate. Trust your spouse, even if he or she is wrong -you are right in trusting. A marriage must be based on trust. It cannot survive without it.

Today is April 1^st. A lot of people are playing pranks on their friends and family member. When the victim of the joke is looking bewildered, they simply remind him or her that today is April 1^st by saying “April Fool”. (There is no room for such pranks in the life of a christian. Is there?)

I’ve been quite busy, so posting has been the least of my priority, but I have to share this story with you, it is quite original because it happened at home. Here we go.

Princess T – Mummy

Queen – Yes, darling.

Princess T – When is your birthday?

Queen – You mean the date (wishing she didn’t hear right)

Princess T – I mean your birth date!

Queen – Sorry, darling, I won’t tell you because I don’t want you to tell your friends. I am trying …….

Princess T – Mummy, pleaseeeeee…………

Queen – No, I won’t…………

Princess T – Then, I won’t tell you my birth date……….

I couldn’t finish getting the rest of the gist because I was struggling to prevent my ribs from caving in as I have a suppressed silent laugh of my life. I asked myself, how do 4years plus reason? If there is anyone that is consider the best custodian of the birth date of a child, is it not the mother?

Well some father do have them. Since I was eavesdropping on the two (don’t scold me now, it wasn’t planned, I just happened to be in the right place, behind a door at the right time).

You mean a blogger who is looking for traffic will at the same time lock up his/her blog and inform visitors that they are only allowed to visit the blog upon invitation. I hope it is not true. I for one have been begging cap in hand for increase in traffic. So I don’t really care if someone I don’t like or someone with opposing views visit my blog.

Everyone is welcome, the only issue is, I won’t allow anyone to post rubbish on my blog in the name of commenting. The worst a hater can do is to post his anger and resentment about my blog on his own blog.

I attempted visiting some blogs today, I was shocked to be confronted with the following error message

“This blog is open to invited readers only

It doesn't look like you have been invited to read this blog. If you think this is a mistake, you might want to contact the blog author and request an invitation.

Meanwhile, I have visited the same blogs days before without invitation. It is interesting to note that some of these blogs belong to the Entrecard System. I guess, Graham will need to look into this.
