It is a review site where you create your "Top 5" or "Top 10" for basically anything. You can find reviews about someone's Top 3 Free Email Services to someone's Top 5 Best Sites Where You Get Paid For Writing Articles . Anything you can think of to fit in this "top 5" format will work. It Doesn't need to be a top 5 or top 10 it can be any where from top 3 and up. I signed up for this site today and will keep you posted of any earnings I have.

WrightSock Sale

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; There are a lot of websites out there claiming to get your website noticed and ranked high on Google and Yahoo. If you do some research you will find that what they are doing is providing you with a service because they have already done the research for you. So if you are a little lazy and don't mind spending the money then go for it but if you don't want to pay any money out to get your blog moving do the leg work yourself. You can easily search Google and Yahoo for websites that allow you to "submit your website for free". Some of the companies I have found are listed in the "Blogger Resource" section. Here are a few more to submit to- Zoom Directory, APlus Directory, Custom Search Engine Directory, EA Project Directory, Arabpa Directory, Netwerker, Directory Wind, Ablaze Directory, PW Directory, HomeHost Directory, SolutioNet Directory, Mostica Directory, 4Shared Directory, iFind Directory, Directory Page, URLGuider Directory, Jaborwhalky Directory, LivingLink Directory, Link Add URL, Femeba Directory, Evil Directory, Caaw Directory, Great Directory, Business on the Net, and Klasic Directory just to name a few.

Makin' Money Site of the Day-Greeting Card Universe

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 141px; height: 141px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Y3_rSbI3DtY/Sqc4YvjtLuI/AAAAAAAAAEQ/eyQryil6Sxs/s320/greeting+card.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379330277651590882" />
Greeting Card Universe will not only pay you to come up with short greeting card verses but they will also allow you to sign up as an affiliate. You can sign up here (and I get paid for part of my referral's income too).

Makin' Money Site of the Day

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 114px; height: 112px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Y3_rSbI3DtY/Spfve88dqqI/AAAAAAAAAEA/ehYfd-q8Qf8/s320/infobarrel.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5375027995324820130" />
Today we will talk about InfoBarrel Info Barrel is a writer's compensation site. With Info Barrel you write articles just like eHow. The only difference I have found is that you are paid 75% of your Google AdSense income. You need to have a Google Adsense account to get paid. This is not difficult to do but it can take a couple of days to get approved so apply now. You can still sign up and start wrting but you won't get paid for anything until you enter your Google AdSense Publisher ID.

With so many new money making programs coming out on a daily basis it is hard to keep up. Don't overload yourself with too many programs. Find a couple that will work for you. If you love to write stick with a couple writing programs. Don't go signup for reading emails and doing surveys too.

Makin' Money Sites Part 2

ONSS

ONSS links you with companies looking to outsource their word processing, human resources and document services to workers outside of their company so that they can reduce their overhead. Digg is a social networking site like Facebook and MySpace. If you read something on my blog or elsewhere on the internet and you really liked it and want to share it with the world you can "Digg" it and it will take you to Digg's website where you will need to sign up for an account. Once you have signed up it will see if someone else has already submitted it. If it hasn't been they will help you add it to their site which takes less than 30 seconds even for your first time using the site. You can then add your own comment. It will appear on their website where everyone will be able to Digg it and add their own comments.

So you wan to get your blog noticed, right? One of the ways to get your blog noticed is to first sign up for a Technorati account to claim your blog. Once you get that all squared away you want to see what Technorati's top search items are. Look through their top items and see if you can relate any of it to your blog. For example, today when I searched for top items number 1 was taskbar, number 8 was Paris Hilton and number 4 was Jennifer Garner. I could blog the following "The taskbar is a term for an application desktop bar which is used to launch and monitor applications. This taskbar can be easy found by Jennifer Garner yet not so easily by Paris Hilton". I personally think Paris Hilton is a very smart person and just plays the character of a dumb girl to get attention. I just wish she did it more appropriately. But did you see how I used these 3 top searches in my blog? Doing this will help my blog to be listed in those top search results.

The Blog Journey Day 10

Today I started to write the information about the Food Stamp Program. There is a lot to the program so I just wrote about the basics for now. It took me 2 hours. I then started searching for more ways to market my blog. I came across several websites and a lot of great ideas. One of the things I came across was a women saying I should comment on other blog sites. So I went to www.blogger.com home page and went to my dashboard. Half way down on that page I noticed a title of "Reading List" and saw that I could add blogs that I want to follow. I figured this would be a great place to begin. I selected the "add" button towards the bottom and added some of my favorite blogs. I also went to the tab under "Reading List" that says "Blogs of Note" and added some blogs that I liked in that section. Two more places to search are Google Blog Search and Blogger Buzz.

I went to one of the blogs that Blogger recommended and signed up. It was Lijit. This website compiles everything from your other websites and makes you a cool search engine for your blog.

Another thing I learned is that I can sign u for Twitterfeed and my blog posts will automatically be added to my tweets. You will need you blog feed address. You can find more information about this here. Twitterfeed will update every hour.

I then wanted to find out how I can see how many people are coming to my site, how long they spend on my site, how many other websites and linking to my blog, and where they are coming from. I found a program that works great with Blogger. It is Get Clicky. They make it very easy to track your blog. They also give you clear instructions even if you know nothing about HTML. I signed u with this program and they also pay you to sent other people to their site. I accomplished 2 things here. I wasn't expecting to make money at this site.

The Food Stamp aka SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program)

It was a helpful program to families in need as well.

In October of 2008 the program was renamed SNAP or Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program. The name was changed to help people better understand what the program is and to get rid of the stigma that surrounds the words "food stamps".

People often misunderstand the food stamp program's intention. Food stamps were meant to help people stretch the money they already use for food. It wasn't meant to provide a family's entire food budget. The program is often looked at as welfare. This is because in 1974 the food stamp program was integrated into the welfare or cash assistance program. The food stamps could then be applied for at the same time in the same office. Pre 1977 the food stamps had to be applied for at the Agriculture office and it was hard on people that didn't have any means of transportation or money for a bus ride.

Think of the food stamp program alone. It is like a coupon program run by the government. People that work or have worked at sometime during their life have paid into the food stamp program by paying their taxes. It's almost like social security. We know or hope that we can get social security when we retire. Food stamps are similar in a sense that they are there when you need them. As a food stamp worker for 10 years I can't tell you how many times someone came in and said "I didn't think I would ever find myself applying for food stamps". I have heard stories from "my spouse died and they were the soul bread winner" to "last year I was making $150,000 and then I was laid off and lost everything". Yes, there are some moochers and liars but we can't let those people destroy the intention of the program. I know that stats from working as a food stamp worker and can tell you there are a lot of decent, hard working people on the program. The food stamp program has not been hijacked by liars. The program is here to use (not abuse)

It is believed that single people can't get food stamps. This is entirely false. The food stamp program is for single people and families' young and old alike.

The food stamp program (SNAP) basis eligibility on several factors the most important are income and resource limits. Let's talk about income first. Income limits change based on your household size (aka HH) (everyone that eats with you) and whether or not you have an elderly or qualified disabled member in your home. We will talk about a home with no elderly or disabled members first. The food stamp program uses gross income (before taxes are taken out). There are some exceptions. If you pay child support some states will deduct this first before looking at the gross income. Another exception is if you or your spouse is in the military. If this is the case you will want to apply for the Military's Family Subsistence Supplemental Allowance (FSSA) program. One last exception is if you have an elderly or qualified disabled member in your home.

Once you have found that you are within the income limits you will look at your resources. Resources are things like cash, money in checking and savings accounts, stocks, bonds, cars, and homes. You are allowed to have up to $2000 in resources, $3000 if you have an elderly or qualified disabled member. Some states are a little higher and some go by how many people in your home but you will know for sure if you have less than $2000 you can apply. To find out your county's policy contact them here. The resources that are used take the equity value. For example, if you have stocks worth $100 but it will cost you $20 to sell them you will count $80 as a resource. Most states don't count your cars but some do but count the equity value and give other exemptions. The best way to figure out if your state counts your cars is to call and speak to a food stamp worker in your county. You can find the phone number in your phone book or main phone numbers here. Homes that you live in are not counted as a resource. If you have more than one home it will count as a resource but if you are renting it out or it is in some other way "income producing" it is not counted. If you have a home or piece of property that you are trying to sale you can get that exempted as well as long you have proof that it is for sale.

If you are eligible after determining these 2 important steps you will be eligible most of the time. However, there are still about 700 other rules the worker must look at. These rules don't apply to most people. Some of these rules include student requirements, drug felonies, warrants for your arrest, and children less than 22 years of age living with their parents, all of which I will speak about later.

If you would like to go ahead and apply you can check to see if your county allows you to apply online. The only thing bad I have to say about iFreelance is that you have to pay for an account. It is $4.69-$9.00 depending on the type of the account you want. However, if you are flexible and good at what you do you can make a lot of money with this well known site. You can even post your profile like a little advertisement so people can find you based on your skill. Check out the site here.

Bizyletters

Bizyletters is a great business to get into if you like to make kids happy. With this business you will send letters to children based on the special occasion. Whether it's a birthday, a tooth falling out or Christmas time you decide what to write in the letter. They give you examples to use but you can use your own as well. With the letter you will send small trinkets like a toothbrush and some stickers with the tooth fairy letter. You can even decide to send balloons with the birthday letter. You set your own prices. They give you a website as well. For a basic website setup the package is $69, for the advance website setup is costs $99 and includes lifetime hosting of your site. You can see an example of the basic site here (works fine if that's all you can afford) this is an example of an advanced site http://www.lettersforallseasons.ekwa.com/ you can sign up for Bizyletters here.

<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>
SiteBuildIt will help you with every part of building a website. They pretty much do it for you so if you are a beginner this is a great place to start. All you need to come up with a niche. That’s the hard part. Get your own SiteBuildIt websites here. Learn more about the SiteBuildIt work at home business here. This site costs a bit more than some sites but what they give you for the money is above average and I recommend it if you don't know how html and other website programs work.

Come back daily to checkout new sites added!

No Work on the Blog Today

Sorry, I took another day off. You need to take some time off when you are trying to get your blog going or you will get burned out real quick. Today I spend 3 hours submitting my blog to search and ping engines. I have recommended some good ones under "My Blog Resources". A great site is Ping-O-Matic. "What is a ping?" you ask? Have you ever seen the movie Men in Black? Well in the movie the character that Will Smith plays accidentally knocks a ball off it's pedestal and the ball bounces around the building destroying everything it hits. Well think of a ping like that except it doesn't destroy things, it picks up information from everything it touches and stores it in it's little brain. It then takes the information in the brain and helps the search engines find you.

Sumbitting your website will help lead people to your website after they search. This is why you want to add keywords to your site. If someone searches "how to make money online" and you don't have anything in your website that match the keywords searched then they won't find you.

The Blog Journey Day 8

I learned how to add the "Follow me on Twitter" button to my blog. I went to Twitter first and signed up for an account. I was going to use the text that they have but found it very boring so I found a cool tool at Twittermysite to use instead. I have never really understood why Twitter is a great tool. Today I finally get it. When you have a blog or other website and want to get people to that website you list it in your profile and when you add little "tweets" and people read them they also look at your website. I have a lot of "tweets" or "tips" in my head and want to tweet all of them right now but it's better to spread your tweets out over the period of 24 hours. I found a program to do just that for me and most importantly it's free. You can find this great tool at Tweetlater.

The Blog Journey Day 1-7

Wow! I didn't know there was so much to learn! I thought I could get my blog up and going and making money in less than a week. I thought I knew all the things to do to get going but I'm learning that there is so much to it. I can see why people give up. There is so much information out there that you get overloaded real quick. Everyone has their own ideas and affiliate programs that they believe in. After bookmarking about 100 sites I think I found one that really works and it's only $1.00 for the first month. They rave that even though after the first month it is $33 a month you won't want to stop your subscription. The program is The Keyword Academy. They have a crash course with 10 videos that you start with. I am only 15 minutes into the first one and have learned a lot already. So far I would recommend this program and have heard a lot of good things on the internet about it. They make it very easy to cancel your subscription. You can cancel it right on your Paypal account you don't even have to contact the company. That's what I love so far. I'll keep you updated on this one. I have been keeping a notepad with my blogging journey and here is what's been happening so far:

Day 1
I thought "What kind of things do I know about?" and decided I wanted to write a blog about all the money making sites, saving money ideas and financial assistance programs I know about. I was a food stamp worker for 10 years and have so many tips to give people. I know how times are hard right now and decided this blog would be the prefect opportunity to help people keep their head above water. I have so many helpful tips that it will take me a long time to get everything upload. At first I was overwhelmed but then decided to do a little at a time. I figured something is better than nothing.

I thought about a name for the blog and I will put this out there right now I am not a good name comer upper so I thought well it's about saving money and making money a little at a time. The name I came up with, Savin' N Makin' Small Change, it about as good as it's gonna it. I don't care if it's dorky or if people don't like it (I hope they like it 'cause I really do care).

After the name thing I became overwhelmed again at started telling myself "this is stupid" nobody is going to read this" and "this stuff isn't going to help anyone". Well I fought though all these stupid thoughts.

I started to look for themes for the blog and found myself attracted to themes with pretty pictures. I changed my theme 5 times before I decided on a simple theme. I just looked at other blogs and saw they weren't stuffed with a bunch of fluff. I settled for a theme from www.ourblogtemplates.com. I didn't understand how to upload the theme to blogger. I was like "what the heck it an XML file?" so I went to their help section and found that it was very easy to do. You can also find some get tips here.

I didn't like the way the themes displayed my blog name so I made a free design for my name from www.logomaker.com. They charge you for a logo that you use on a business card, etc. but give you a free web only logo. I then saved the logo to Power Point and went to "file" then "page setup" and set it up as a banner. I had to play around with the size for a little while but finally got it just right. I added some clip art of coins then saved the picture on my desktop. I then uploaded it to my blogger header. (It took me some time learning how to do this so I am pooped at this point)

Day 2
I gathered all the titles I wanted to write about and started listing them on a blank Microsoft Word document. I started off writing on a piece of paper but then figured I'm going to have to type it at some point so hence the Microsoft Word document. I recommend this instead of writing on your blog because you will want to have a hard document of all your articles. When you are ready to add it to your blog you can just copy and paste it.

I wrote down all the resources I wanted to tell people about with the website addresses.

I researched and found a list of top affiliate earners and saved them to my bookmarks. I'll give you the list in a later post. I have to sift through all the bookmarks to find which one it is.

Day 3
I took the top 10 titles I wanted to write about and typed all the details. This took me about 3 hours. I also learned how to make a word go to another website if you click on it. This is called a hyperlink. Say you put in a sentence "Go to this website by clicking "here"" and you want the person to be able to click on it and go to a website where you will get paid for them signing up. You type the sentence "Go to this website by clicking here" then highlight the word "here" if you are doing this in Microsoft Word you would right click on the word that is highlighted and select "hyperlink". In the box that pops up, where it says "address", you want to type or paste the web address that you want the person to be directed to. If you are using blogger you want to highlight the word then go to the top bar and you will see a tool that looks like a world with a chain link over it, click on that then enter the web address.

Day 4
I got excited about getting this blog up and running so I typed out 20 descriptions for my titles. It took me about 5 hours with a couple of breaks here and there.

Day 5
Same as day 4

Day 6
With day 4 and 5 I became a bit sick of typing so I just started playing around with my blogger template and all the gadgets you can use. Doing this helped me learn how a lot of things work. I believe this is a great learning tool. Just get in there and get your feet wet. Before you do this I recommend saving your template just in case you mess around too much. You can do this by opening a blank Microsoft Word document then go to your blogger dashboard. At the top navigation bar click "layout" then "edit HTML". You would then click anywhere in the box that contains your HTML. Be sure to not change anything here unless you know what you are doing. Once you see your mouse cursor blinking in the box select the "ctrl" and the letter "a" on your keyboard, this will "select all" and highlight all the text in the box. Then select the "ctrl" and the letter "c" on your keyboard, this will "copy all". You can now go to your blank word document and select "ctrl" and the letter "v" on your keyboard, this will "paste all". Waala! You can now save the document as "My Blogger HTML" or what ever title you want to use. (did you learn some keyboard shortcuts here ;-).

I signed up for a couple of affiliate programs and an Adsense account today as well.

Day 7
I wanted to get the blog posts started for this blog and decided to post what you are reading right now. I am excited about teaching people what I know and hope this will help people get started. Follow me on my journey and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
