It’s finally here! Milky! Honestly I am super excited for this because I’ve been following Tia and Tamara on their show. I watched as they came up with the idea of milky! and I watched when they brought the idea up to marked and when they tried to come up with a flavor for it.

I’ve been breastfeeding for 2 years straight! I can hardly believe it. When I started I just wanted to make it to the first 6 months. Then it became a year. After that it was just when they are ready. I said they because it hasn’t been 2 years with the same kiddo. I breastfed my daughter until she was 20 months old, all the way though my pregnancy with her brother. I had intended to tandem feed. But once little bug got here Mia didn’t want to nurse anymore. Because It was her choice I felt like I had done my job to give her the best start I could. Now I’m nursing her little brother, bug, and we are nearly 5 months in.

Even though I’ve been breastfeeding for a long time, I still have times that I need a little help. Times where I feel I’m not making enough milk, or when I want to pump extra for freezing later. The go too for me has always been Fenugreek. This  little pill is amazing. It really does an amazing job at making more milk. The problem is that you have to take it 2-3 times a day and after a while it will make your sweat smell like maple syrup. It can also cause quite a bit of gas. This isn’t comfortable for mom OR baby. Still, If I had t choose between gas and formula, I would choose gas. You can buy fenugreek in pill form, liquid, or powder.

Another option is the Mother milk tea. Honestly, I couldn’t tell you how well this worked because I was never able to choke it down long enough to see any results. To me it taste like black licorice. Even with sugar it really isn’t very good. I had to laugh when I watched Tia and Tamera try all the different kinds of teas, cause I know how awful they taste.

If however you do need to take it long-term, for whatever reason, I think I would much rather drink Milky! then drink herbal teas.

Did you have a favorite candy growing up? Is it still around. I grew up during the 80′s and most of the candies I loved growing up are still around. My daughter just turned 2 and we LOVE this snack keeper. Anyone with a toddler knows how hard it can be to keep them sitting in one place. But they are always eating. This means that you have a toddler running all over your house with snacks. Around here that means that the dog gets her fair share of gold fish and cereal. I like that this keeps everything in and lets her run around knowing that her food is safe.

Now this won’t keep the snacks in if your toddler is determand to get them out and throw them around the house. But they can take it with them and just throw it on the ground and it won’t spill everywhere. The top is soft enough that it doesn’t hurt little hands. It’s very easy to clean and dishwasher safe. I love the cute color and flower design.

The one down side that I found was that the leafs (handles) come off. It really isn’t a big deal as you can handle the snack keeper easily without them. But it does make it easier for little hands if the handles are one. I glued mine in place because I got tired of trying to track them down when my daughter left it laying somewhere.

Other then that though it is a great product and I love it. I have one for my 5 year old as well and I no longer worry about them running around with their snack

I feel like a 5 year old waiting for Christmas! I’m having such a hard time waiting for it to be time to board that plane. I go back and forth between being super excited and being a bit scared about leaving all the kids behind. My youngest is only 5 months old and still breastfed. He does take a bottle but I’ve never tried to feed him with just a bottle for three days straight. My poor husband will have all four kids to contend with. I think he will be great, but I’m sure the lack of sleep won’t help. He’s used to me waking up with the baby.  The trade-off however will be amazing! I get to rub elbows with some of today’s brightest stars! I get to go someplace I’ve never been and never thought I would go. For me this is  a once in a life time experience. I’ll never feel exactly this way again. Even if I am at some point invited back (and I sure hope I am! ). The best part is being one of the first people to see an amazing movie. I loved the first and so did my kids!

I’ve got my camera from Pentax k-30 for all the stunning pictures I will take. I love taking pictures so there will be a lot of them. I honestly can’t wait to click until I fill up a SD card. I don’t think I’ve ever done that. I’ve been practicing with ISO settings and I hope to at least be able to get some great pictures. I know I wont be an expert with the camera before I leave. But as long I can point and shoot I’m happy!

I have my out fit for the tailgate/premiere. I can’t even tell you how hard it was to put this together. I picked up a beautiful outfit at Macy’s. On sale it was $70. Yeah I can almost hear you all gasp at that. The dress looked good on me, but I felt a bit uncomfortable. I’m a stay at home mom of 4, I almost never get dressed up. When I do, I don’t get THAT dressed up. Then I remembered Ross. Oh Ross, how I love thee!!! I found this cute dress and belt there on sale. I also picked up a new shirt for the trip and an outfit for my daughter. All cost $57! Now you all can breathe a sigh of relief. I really do like to save money, honest I do! So I took back the expensive dress. I picked up the purse and jewelry at target. I also got the shoes at target. Those have a funny story behind them. I had been searching for shoes that were the right color and kept running into a wall. But then my daughter said ” Hey mom, look at these”. They were a bit cutesy, but still the perfect color for my outfit. So when I went to look at sizes I noticed that they were in the kids section! Can we say YAY for small feet? So now the outfit is ready and waiting. A perfect fun/flirty tailgate outfit. ( At least that’s what I see in my old mommy mind )

Last but not least I have Bear Bear. My daughters bear from when she was 1-2 ish. I promised to take her along with me on my trip. My plan is to get pictures of Bear Bear with me everywhere I go on the trip. I was thinking about making her something to wear, but I don’t think I have the right colors. She is too young for the red carpet anyhow. SO I think she may have to miss that part. It will be fun writing a post with all the fun things Bear Bear did.

We got the RSVP list yesterday. I can’t tell you how excited I am about a couple of these stars. I don’t normally have crushes on stars. To me they are just good-looking people doing a great job at what they do. But I gotta tell you, when I say Seth Green on the list my teenage heart did a little hop! I’ve always thought he was adorable and loved watching him in movies. I’m dreaming of being able to say hi to him, maybe get a picture. We will have to see!
