K-Mart Better-than-Free Candy!

This week K-Mart has their Hershey "pieces" candy on sale 4/$10 (or $2.50/1). In today's smart source coupon booklet (1/31) there is a coupon for $1/1 of these "pieces" candies. Use 4 of these to get the candy 4/$6. Then you get a print out at the register for a $10 gift card by mail. You can do this deal up to 4 times. If you do the deal once, you made $4. If you do it 4 times, you made $16. Gotta love being paid to eat candy!

You can also submit a wrapper from one of the bags you finish off here to get a coupon for another free bag!

EDIT: I was able to purchase both the Edward and Jacob sticker packs, but I had to do them in seperate orders. Looks like you could purchase as many as you want with the code.

Right now through 11/17, Albertson's has an AWESOME deal on Sara Lee pies and Breyer's ice cream... Buy 1 pie @ $6.39, get another pie, and 2 containers of Breyer's ice cream FREE! I unfortuately am not lucky enough to have any of the Sara Lee coupons that are out there for this deal, but I did still have 2 $0.75/1 Breyer's Ice cream coupons and was able to use those. I ended up getting all 4 for $4.89. What a great deal!! There is no limit to how many times you can do this deal (I did it twice so now have 4 pies and 4 containers of ice cream in my freezer).

Family Activity: Pumpkin Prowl

This weekend, October 23rd, 24th, and 25th from 5-8 p.m., Woodland Park Zoo is hosting The Pumpkin Prowl. Tickets are $9 for adults and $7 for children 17 and under. Children 2 years and younger get in for free.

This is from their webiste:
Bartell’s is back again for Pumpkin Prowl this year, and they will be onsite at the event near the Beech Grove, handing out an abundance of goodies for kids (and parents) to trick-or-treat for. They’re a must-see, so make sure you go by and pick up your treats!
Other highlights of this year’s Pumpkin Prowl include:
Stop by and visit the creepy-crawlies that live in our Bug World building.
Once again, the Family Farm meadows and ponds will be transformed into huge pumpkin patches and floating displays, filled with decorations and places to trick-or-treat!
On these three nights of Pumpkin Prowl, Zoomazium transforms into “Boomazium!” Features of this haunted house include an interactive talking tree that distributes treats, flying ghosts, and tons of spooky decorations.

They will also have concessions of all sort including apple cider, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.

Family Activity: Fright Fest

Wild Waves is putting on "Fright Fest" which runs weekend nights (5-11 p.m.) from October 3rd through the 31st. The cost is $19.99 + tax per person if you buy online (or $24.99/person at the gate) and children 2 and under are free. Details here.

They have 2 haunted houses, all their fun amusement rides, plus free trick-or-treating. Sounds like a MUCH better deal than the KISS 106.1 House of Terror. It costs $15/person to get in and lasts about 5 minutes. We went last year and it was just okay. It cost us $60 to take the family for a whole 15 minutes of waiting in line and then 5 minutes to walk through. I think I'd pay the extra $5/person for the Wild Waves Fest myself. What do you think?
