KitchenAide Mixer

2011-01-16T13:37:00.000-08:00

Hi all it has been a long time. I have missed you, but I have still been saving money. Christmas came and everyone spent and spent and spent...But, I got the best bargain ever. I have recently started making cakes. I love it and I have been making a few extra dollars too. What does every baker need? A Kitchenaide Mixer, yep that is correct. But, wait they are EXPENSIVE!! Yes, they are they range from $199- $999. So, I waited and watched and waited and watched : ) and finally it happened. Amazon.com had a 600 series, yes 600 series Kitchenaide suggested retail price $499 on sale for $279. I thought INCREDIBLE, but wait there was a $50 rebate. Wonderful right? Right, but wait FREE shipping..OK now we're talking. Hold on there is more, during checkout there was a banner about American Express Points...hmmm I have those : ). That is right, I had $120 dollars worth of American Express points. Did you do the math:

$279.00
-50
______
$229.00
_ shipping ( which was equivalent to the tax)
______
$229.00
-120
______
$109.00

That's right I paid $109.00 for a $500 item which is known to last for 30 + years or more....

Total Cost .....PRICELESS

Shopping List

2010-07-23T07:06:00.000-07:00

Why should you use a shopping list?

Shopping List keep you focused, they help get what you need not what you want. Keep your focus and save yourself money. Coupons are a great deal, but not when it is something you don't need. Stay focused on your money saving experience. Keep track of how much money you have
SAVED. I have saved $250.00 in the last month and to be honest I missed some money saving experiences, which mean that could have been greater. I am trying to stay the course and see just how much I saved. You may want to combine your savings with your bank's keep the change program and see how much you have accumulated at $250.00 a month I am on my way to a yearly savings of $3000.00. That is substantial!!
