It is being reported that one of the greatest Charger players of all time committed suicide.

What a sad ending for a guy that I have an obvious attachment with.

The Chargers did what most had expected...the let their #1 wide receiver and player they franchised last year, Vincent Jackson, sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  The Bucs signed him to a 5 year deal worth $55 million...more than the Chargers wanted to dole out to him.

But don't fret Charger fans, the Chargers then promptly signed (former) Saints wideout Robert Meachem. Sloppy play on both sides of the ball with both the Charger offensive and defensive lines getting pushed around for the entire game...the same thing the Raiders did in their two wins last season, so it came as no surprise to me.
