Sorry for the long hiatus. It has been a while since I have written or made posts in this website about Salsa in general. But please tune in every couple of days because I will post some interesting videos or articles. Let’s get back into the swing of things with this video.

Special thanks go to everyone that has shown love and concern for our Thursday Salsa party in New Brunswick. I really miss it too. I miss playing my records for such a warm crowd week after week. But please be patient because better days are ahead. In the meanwhile, I want to share with you two things. First, after one year of DJ’ing, please allow me to formally introduce myself as a Salsa DJ (check my DJ bio here). Second, please direct your attention to a short video that just keeps making me laugh every time I see it. 360 LOUNGE: ALL NIGHT LIFE HAS BEEN CANCELED

We are sorry to inform you that all night life at 360 Lounge, including Salsa Thursdays, has been canceled due to problems with city restrictions. It is possible that Salsa Thursdays will resume soon. Stay tuned for updates.

We apologize to all of our regular patrons and dancers. We had an amazing night planed out tonight. We will definitely make it up to you guys. That’s a promise! On behalf of Orquesta SON 9, 360 Lounge and Scarlet Mambo, please accept our deepest apologies for this late cancellation. We love Salsa as much as you do and we really appreciate your support. Please pass this message to your friends so they can avoid the trip tonight.

It is possible that Salsa Thursdays will resume soon. Stay tuned for updates.

Salsa On2 Dance Courses at Rutgers U (Fall 2009)

Who knew that you could learn to dance Salsa On2 from a professional instructor at Rutgers University? Now you know. New-York-Style Salsa dance courses are being taught at Rutgers University. Learn how to dance the same Salsa timing as all the professional dance instructors and performers in New York City.

Rutgers Salsa dance courses will kick-off on Friday, September 11th 2009 at 7:30pm. Register through the RUTGERS REC WEBSITE. Select “Joshua, Dany” in the instructors drop down menu and search.

Register online now! It’s easy and fast. Deadline is approaching and space is limited. Student discount is applied at the end of the checkout process. Please note that the Friday classes are the only ones open to the general public. Tuesday classes are only open to Rutgers students and staff.
