After listening to Theophilus London’s mixtapes for a year or so now and seeing the man himself live last week I thought it was time to do a little best of before he releases his debut album Timez are weird these days on july 19th. What I really like about London is that he isn’t stuck to one genre. The mix of inspirations he puts in his sound is just great and refreshing in a hiphop world that lacks so much of renewal.

To Whom it may concern:

After 9 years of having retail spots in SF, I am selling our last SF shop on Hayes street. We had a great run in SF and I appreciate all the customers and friends we made through the shops over the years. As most of you know, I started my brand, HUF, through the shops. I never could anticipate how well it would be received and what it would grow into. In order to be the best I can be at producing clothing and footwear for my brand, I have to give up my original vision of having a shop where I sold other people’s brands. I’m pretty happy about the opportunity to focus on the HUF brand full-time and feel its time to pass the torch in SF to a new owner that will provide a cool, multi-line sneaker shop for the shoppers in Hayes.

We will still be open for a little while in SF while the shop changes hands. We will continue to keep our HUF shop open on Fairfax in Los Angeles where we carry the complete HUF line as well as HUFshop only specialty product, from time to time. Being a skateboarder was a great launch pad for me to own a shop and the shops were a great opportunity to learn how to make clothing. Making clothes helped me learn to make shoes and skating in them helps me learn how to make them better. The business is an extension of myself and ever evolving. Many of the familiar faces you saw in the shops behind the counters over the years have moved on to help me at the brand with design, sales and marketing. The original HUF crew is alive and well. We look forward to bringing quality skateboard lifestyle apparel and footwear for years to come. If you are looking for something and can’t find it elsewhere, check out our site. www.hufsf.com .

Thanks to everyone who ever set foot in a HUF shop in SF. We had a great time and hope you did too!

Sincerely,

Keith Hufnagel

It was my first time at his show and I regret every opportunity I had to see him before. The guy is just amazing! First, the stage is really well set up. He has a huge jumbotron kind of screen behind him and allows a bunch of people on stage with him right from the beginning of the show. It’s really a huge party! The thing that I liked the most is that he doesn’t play his album songs but remixes everything in a new way keeping you on your toes the whole time.

Seriously, if you get the chance to see him live, don’t choke like I did every single time before!

Check out this funny experiment! The guy wears a pair of jeans for 15 months straight and then tests them for bacteria. NO DIFFERENCE !

Isn’t it the best when you find a solid proof for the bull@#@ you were telling?? I just found this amazing story about a dude who wore his jeans for 15 months straight, analyzed them and found about the same levels of bacteria compared to a 13 days jeans. That’s just amazing!

For years I’ve been too lazy to wash my jeans often and I just found that they were more comfortable that way. In fact, I found that washing them was ruining the nice natural wear and tear look I was getting. It’s also wonderful to find that I’m not the nastiest guy around !! just kidding but hey take a look !
