Now I know how to look after myself and I thought I'd share it with everyone so they can de-stress too. I have found a great place for scented stuff, www.scentedcandlesandoils.com I found some lavender essential oils I can put in my bath, but I also found a place that talks about Reflexology!
Wow, I feel like a limp noodle after a treatment, and the therapist was burning a scented lavender candle to help me de-stress. I've never felt so good. In my opinion, everyone should give it a try and see if I'm not right. I want to try other things from the sight too, who knows, maybe they have stuff that can help me in other ways.

In France, a fragrance developer accidentally lit the arm of his lab coat on fire with a very flammable substance. In his panic, he searched for any non-flammable fluid to extinguish the fire. A large vat of Lavender Essential Oil was nearby and so he plunged his arm into the container. Soon after, his doctors were astounded at the speedy recovery of his burns. While severe, no cosmetic surgery would be needed and the healing was faster than they'd ever seen!
Lavender has many historical references, but was rediscovered as more than just a fragrancing ingredient after that, and many skin treatment products contain Lavender Essential Oils for ailments from acne and eczema to light cuts and even arthitis!

Direct Aromatherapy
One simple way to add Lavender to Your Life is by adding 3-6 drops of Essential Oil to any unscented and/or organic body products (if you want to do the whole container).

Tissue:

Breathe slowly and deeply in a relaxed position.
Add 1 Drop of Pure Lavender Essential Oil to a tissue and hold a hand's width away and below your mouth and nose
Breathe in deeply and exhale slowly twice
Take away the Tissue for a few deep and slow breaths and repeat as desired.

*Beware immitation Essential Oils that are Lavender Scented. If your product does not read "steam distilled" or "pure extract", it is likely that your product contains a similar extract called "Lavendin" which has a much more potent smell but lacks the therapeutic qualities of real Lavender Essential Oils. In addition, Lavendin tends to sensitize your smell receptors, often resulting in becoming more sensitive to strong or unpleasant smells.

Scent your own Soap!
Many Organic Castile Liquid Soaps come in Lavender Scent. If you can't find one (find one here), you can put a single drop in your hand with a dose of unscented Liquid Soap, and mix in your palm before applying to a loofa, cloth, etc.

We do not recommend blending Lavender with scented products, as the combination may not be desireable. We recommend only mixing Essential Oils with Organic bath and body compounds.

Tumble-Dry and Sigh!
Place a few drops (well seperated) on your favorite dryer sheets, and place in the dryer half-way throug the cycle. You can also do this on a clean damp cloth for the entire dryer cycle. Works best for light heat cycles, especially for delicates, although heavy clothing tends to retain much more of the smell! This can also be done with delicates in the rinse cycle, or if you wash them in a sink. We don't recommend mixing Lavender Essential Oils with non-organic laundry detergents of any kind and advise to use Essential Oils in the clean water of rinse cycles.

This blend of Essential Oils will get you going in no time! Not to be confused with caffeine, the blend below helps to create mental alertness and fight fatigue through Aromatherapy, and is not a substance that will result in heightened energy or the lows of withdrawal.

OPERATION: ENERGIZE

2 parts Ginger
3 parts Grapefruit

If using "neat"(or directly on the skin) add:
10-15 parts JoJoba Oil

Preparation/Application:

Personal Scent:

Add 10-15 parts Jojoba Oil, apply to wrists, neck, and behind the ears (optional).
The Quicker Picker Upper:
Apply to a thick or folded tissue and hold 10-15 cm from face.
Home Scents:

Place in Oil Warmer/Burner with equal parts water.
In larger quantities, apply to hot damp towel and place in front of a house fan!

Essential oils are distilled plant extracts which are classified as Volatile, which means that they evaporate as soon as they come in contact with the air. So whichever method of applying essential oils is used, a certain amount is always inhaled. Because body massage and air diffusion are the main methods of applying essential oils, this suggests that the lungs and the skin are both of prime importance in the way essential oils get into the body and do their work. When we inhale air during an aromatherapy massage, bath or other treatment, we also breathe in particles of essential oil. this air/essential oil mix travels down the trachea(windpipe) into the bronchial tubes and then into the lungs. Within the lungs are tiny balloon shaped air sacs around which lie minute blood vessels that carry out the exchange of gases. This means that waste products---mainly carbon dioxide--are exchanged for oxygen and particles of essential oils.

During a body massage, the skin becomes covered with a base oil (such as sweet almond or jojoba oil) containing a small amount of essential oil. Because the skin is semipermeable-which means that it can absorb and excrete certain substances with a small molecular structure-the oils are drawn into the body through the skin like a sponge. Once essential oils are in the blood stream, they can affect your "pH" levels. "pH" is an acid level index that can be applied to any living thing or substances derived from them. These pH levels can be directly attributed to different moods and emotions as well as how effectively a person can handle daily stresses.

Aromatherapy has been used for centuries to help positively effect our health and well-being. The main aspect of Aromatherapy are the Essential Oils used, which are painstakingly derived from natural plant extracts. Different Scents provide different effects and results, with the most common being Lavender, Berbamot, Eucalyptus Globulus, Rosemary, Ylang-Ylang, Lavender, Geranium, Vanilla and Peppermint.
Nowadays we are overwhelmed by the variety in which these scents are available, and are constantly bombarded with strong scents that do not appeal to us.
It is common for preference of Fragrances, Perfumes and Essential Oils are usually unique from person to person, and have become more of an intimate odor. It is no longer stylish for someone to walk into the room and have everyone gasping the fumes emanating from them, but to notice the scent when in close range. In short, your chosen scent should normally be more intimate.
Many people notice that their favorite fragrances do not smell the same after a little while. Skin acid levels (also refered to as pH) come into contact with these oils and alcohols and there is a chemical reaction in the process. For this reason, many scents combine with your own and change after a small amount of time.
A tip for the ladies out there: When applying perfume or oils, to have a longer lasting and cleaner scent, avoid rubbing it after applying it.
