<p>The scholarship includes the following benefits:</p>

<li>the assumption of costs for the language course</li>
<li>the provision of accommodation by the course provider for the duration of the course (accommodation in a single room e.g. in a student residence, a shared apartment or a private household)</li>
<li>a one-time partial scholarship payment of EUR 475.00</li>

<p>Note: The partial scholarship and the travel allowance are not transferred abroad. The DAAD transfers the money to the course provider, who then pays it out in cash to the scholarship recipients on site.</p>

<p>Applications are mainly open to enrolled bachelor and master students of all disciplines who are at least 18 years old. In general, they must prove that they have a minimum German language level of B1.</p>

<p>The ASEAN University Network–ASEAN European Academic University Network (ASEA-UNINET) is an international academic cooperation network established in 1994 to strengthen collaboration between universities in Europe and Southeast Asia. Through its extensive network of member institutions, ASEA-UNINET promotes academic mobility, research collaboration, and cultural exchange across various disciplines. Today, the network continues to expand opportunities for students, researchers, and faculty members while fostering international partnerships and advancing excellence in higher education.</p>

<p><b>Eligibility</b></p>
<ol>
<li>Citizens of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam</li>
<li>PhD candidates, Postdoctoral researchers, or Undergraduate students (or higher) in Music Practice, depending on the selected grant category.</li>
<li>PhD applicants should have completed a university degree outside Austria and fulfill the admission requirements of the host university.</li>
<li>Postdoctoral applicants should be engaged in teaching and research at an ASEA-UNINET member university.</li>
<li>35 years old or younger (Undergraduate, Graduate, and Postgraduate applicants) or 45 years old or younger (Postdoctoral applicants).</li>
<li>Demonstrate very good proficiency in English and/or German.</li>

<li>Research proposal (in the field of music: CV &amp; Audition Registration)</li>
<li>Letter of Consent of the supervisor at the Austrian host university (for Music Practice: &#8220;Letterof Endorsement&#8221; from the Austrian music universities after successful auditions process)</li>
<li>Two Letters of Recommendation by university lecturers (for PhD applications: a Letter of Recommendation must be provided by an ASEA-UNINET member university in Indonesia,Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam or the Philippines.)</li>
<li>Proof of a very good command of English (B2 or C1, depending on the chosen degree programme)</li>
<li>Copy of passport</li>
<li>University graduation certificates as well as an English or German translation.</li>
