Yay Preston has made it to my blog!

Only a year later… lol. Yes just a bit behind with

blogging my sessions.

With Facebook these days…I just make sure to post

sneak peeks there right away…the blog is always

left on the to do list.

I am trying to blog a bunch of older sessions

to catch up.

So I was blessed to be able to photograph Hayden again in August.

I have know this little guys parents for quite sometime now.

Back in March of 2009 they had me do a Just because session for them. Super fun.

Hayden was rocking out with his faux hawk and it was adorable.

Look at those squishy cheeks. Love him.

I’ve been Fooled!

Thanks Jaylene and Torie for the near heart attack today!

Here’s the story:

Well hubby and I went to Starbucks after church…(imagine that) lol.

I say, “ you know what I want and you know how to give it to me!” to my friend at the counter.

She said nope sorry. Then she said we don’t have green tea.

So I figure yeah right your joking…then another girl…my friend the shift manager walks over and first girl says she doesn’t believe me that we don’t have green tea.

So the shift manager goes on about how they no longer are carrying green tea because it just wasn’t popular enough but it will be a summer drink.

I got confused because she was so serious looking…I was like…I will never see you guys anymore if there is no green tea to buy.

Then after going on for about 4 minutes of this….they all say

April Fools!

 LOL

I was just kinda in a dumb stupor then everyone busted up laughing.

 It was crazy.

They totally had me.

For a limited time only.

What a beautiful day it was at Willow Grove.

The sky was clear and the sun was shining.

Sure it was chilly but that didn’t stop us from

going outside and enjoying it all while it lasted.

We took the kids to the park and Kiana brought

her bff along. After playing on the playground

we walked down to the beach to play in the sand.

The kids drew pictures and played with sticks.

Zeke loved throwing handfuls of sand into the water.

What a beautiful sight it was seeing the sun set.

Eventually Zeke walked into the water and got

his feet and pants wet and we had to leave.

To end the day with a bang we went to

Pizza hut in Longview to have some pancrust

hawaiian pizza…with the best breadsticks around.

Can’t wait for more days like this one.

Well there you have it…a new year…a new look.

Keeping galleries updated on here and on my website is

just way too time consuming. I decided last week to

make this blog into my blogsite. I am getting rid of

my other website and combining the two into one.

My hope is that it will help me save time and energy

to do more fun things with my family instead of

always being on my computer trying to keep all

of these different sites updated.

So from today on my two main forms of

showing my work are here and Facebook.

Yay! Time for a happy dance!

This last week I did another super fun Trash the Dress portrait session.

We drove up as high as we could get up Mt. Brynion in Kelso and had a blast.

Sure we were cold and could use a hot cup of cocoa but it was worth it.

Project Lifers

Wow sorry folks my busy season hit and blogging had to take a backseat.

I am back now though just in time to ring in the new year!

Hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving and a merry Christmas too!

Our kids finally got a wii so they are stoked.

Tonight we’re gonna party like its 1999!
Yeah baby, apple cider, friends and karaoke to bring in 2012!

Here are some photos from my iPhone for the past two months.

How was the end of 2011 for you?

Every year it’s our family tradition to take the kids over to my moms house in Kalama for trick or treating.

So off we went Monday to Grandmas house with our costumes on and candy buckets in hand.

Every year we also paint mini pumpkins so we brought those along too.

Grandpa even made a pumpkin pie this year…though we had to leave before it was ready to eat

since it was a school and work night. Bummer indeed.

I was able to take the kids portraits outside while the sun was setting.

Kiana took mine and by the time my hubby got off work and

dressed up the sun was gone…so hello flash.

My mom was able to take a family portrait…not full body but it works.

The weather was amazing and we had a great time together.

The kids even got tired before we were done making the usual rounds but we made them

stick through it and carry their own buckets.

About an hour or two later we were done…kids were worn out and we headed home.

Another great Halloween with lots of candy to prove it.

I just love dressing up each year…

This years theme was Animals.

A wild bunch we were!

Oh and what did you dress up for Halloween this year?

Wow this past month has been a wild ride. First with my youngest spraining his ankle then getting chicken pox. Of coarse our week didn’t end with that…Friday at school Kai our middle child fell and hit his head on a garbage can. I had to take him to the ER because it looked like he needed stitches. Luckily it was able to be taped. Yet another close call.

I bought some mustaches at the Dollar Tree and my kids loved them.

I personalized my Starbucks gold card more to my liking with the help of some scrapbooking tools. Love it!

Yesterday was my hubby’s 37th birthday so I took him to his favorite German restaurant in Portland. Oh how we love the Fondue. Der Rheinlander is at 5035 NE Sandy Blvd. Go check it out!

Hopefully this week will be a little more relaxing and cheaper than the last. Lol

Anything exciting happening on your life?

It was Friday night last week when my heart sank. My son Zeke was in his room and supposed to be going to sleep.

He let out a scream like no other, after I heard a loud crash come from upstairs.

I ran up to find him lying on the floor holding his leg screaming.

To make a long story short the ER thought he had fractured a bone in his foot.

Not until we went to the orthopedist did we find out 4 days later it was just a bad sprain.

Needless to say he started walking on it again and just gas a small limp.

That was wonderful news…especially since he hated the splint and kept taking if off every chance he had.

Kids…

Definitely keeping us on our toes at all times.

Gotta love them.

Hope your week is an adventure as well.

Nikita and her younger sister Kim Lee came into

my downtown portrait studio earlier in the year

for some super fun and cute portraits together.

They had fun jumping on the bed and getting

pretty and fun photos to share with thier family.

Love shoots like these.

Little Ryan Lynn was born almost 6 months ago.

Yeah…still playing catch up here on the blog.

She was the sweetest little thing.

I was so happy to have had the chance to take these

newborn photos since I took her mommy’s maternity portraits

in my Longview, WA studio a few months before.

Three kids in school this year.

But I am ready for the cooler days
