Why are women not being allowed into certain temples

Happy Women Day.!!

Just a thought of mine on today's incident at Trimbakeshwar temple -Should women not enter the sanctum at all?

My stand: They could if they were appropriately trained for it, but it would be much more difficult to train women than men for this purpose, simply because of a few biological advantages men have in this area of life. In the very nature of female biology, occult forces can have a deeper impact upon her system.

It was good enough for provision of the following facilities to the poor by Modi Government.

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY – for Accidental Death Insurance)

Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY – For Life Insurance Cover)

Atal Pension Yojna (APY)

But apparently to my pragmatic experience concerns, neither the Banks nor Government Bodies could able to furnish the complete details of the program. I wonder why such laxness though the benefits realizations are high to people.

Uncertainties like,

Is it some kind of negligence caused due to low premiums paid?
Irresponsible in implementing such at Ground Level? (Common Issue)
Was this necessitating extra duty hours to Banks? (On the example of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana where negligence in Issuing pass books, ATM cards, Other Grievances were high as if it intended merely to make people to open bank accounts and yes, the program went was successful only on that note)

I request MP's, MLA', Bureaucrats and all others pertaining to this program to maximize their responsibilities by minimizing their roles confinement to take up these plans, benefits, and address these issues to the possible extent.

They are asked strictly to proscribe sex determination ads

Nearly a week after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" campaign, the Supreme Court on Wednesday directed search engines like Google India to strictly comply with the laws and block advertisements on sex determination.

The Supreme Court directed the Centre to take urgent steps to stop Google, Yahoo and Microsoft from advertising for foetal gender determination and displaying addresses of foreign clinics that provide assistance in the act which is an offence in India.

This is the effort that has to be made to see that nothing contrary to laws of this country are advertised. Its a matter of countries integrity.

It is said that it would be difficult to block these websites as they were hosted outside the country and provided good content for medical education. The bench, however, rejected the argument, saying "as we understand, the affidavit reflects a kind of helplessness".

As per latest estimates, around five lakh female foetus are aborted annually. According to UNICEF, India has lost over one crore girls since 2007 to female foeticide. Since 1991, 80 per cent Indian districts have recorded an increasingly masculine sex ratio.

Ahead to set things for a social cause

It’s been happy to share in counting more donors to PAM trust. Recently, had a talk to one of the trustees and have taken it forward to the next level. Following being some of the important points discussed,

Opening a trust account soon more or less in 4 months
Making all to create a standing order for easy transfer
Brain storming on activities under trust
Inclusion of more donors
Content/technical assistance etc.,

Some of us have come up with few ideas, should discuss and check the viability of implementing them say funding a merit higher secondary student, animal rescue activities etc.,

Hoping to complete all sort of operational things soon.

So, what does an MP have to do? Simply put, there is no job description for him or her. But the MP certainly will take home a neat pay packet. And the Lok Sabha secretariat has come out with a booklet in time now to let the newly elected Lok Sabha members know what all they are entitled to.

The booklet, however, does not suggest that the MP is required by rule to do anything in particular. Of course, the MP is to represent the people in Parliament, take part in debates, raise issues of concern, talk about problems but it is not mandatory. There is no job profile for the MP. The only 'must do' could be what comes as a directive from the party that he belongs to. There is no assessment of the MPs' work, no questions asked what he does or what he does not do and is not really accountable to the people who elect him. That is a question that arises every five years and the voters will have their say.

Now, for something that the newly elected MPs will be interested in. The MP gets a salary of Rs 50,000 per month. In addition, Rs 2,000 per day will be paid as daily allowance when the MP signs the register (when attending Parliament sessions or House committee meetings). The MP is entitled to Rs 45,000 constituency allowance every month (Rs 15,000 for stationery and postage and Rs 30,000 for persons engaged for secretarial assistance). That amount comes to Rs 1.4 lakh per month without taking into account the daily allowance that they will get.

The MP will get rent-free accommodation, air travel and train travel facilities and three landlines and two mobile phones. The free calls entitled to per year is a total of 1.5 lakh calls. The MP can also spend up to Rs 2 lakh for buying a desktop/laptop/palm top, etc and this amount will be refunded.

For the rent-free accommodation that the MP gets in the capital, he or she is entitled to 4,000 kilolitre of water and 50,000 units of electricity per year. An MP also get a loan of Rs 4 lakh to buy a 'conveyance' and that will have to be repaid in installments with a certain amount of interest as applicable.

The MP can also buy durable furniture spending up to Rs 60,000 and non-durable furniture costing up to Rs 15,000.

And here's another 'privilege'. The MP can get the sofa covers and curtains washed every three months!

I suffered a time where in I was put in a situation and I supposed to take a decision on the subject of educating an orphan. Me and my friends were discussing in helping a orphan for his/her education. I felt if we aid a child orphan, it generally becomes a long term plan for us to expect him/her to reach out respective needs.

Rather it becomes a easy task to abet a higher educated orphan or financial needy and letting him/her to settle and asking him to aid one/two higher educated orphan and successively passing the same idea among them. I strongly believe this concept will increase the multiplier of young graduate to stand them-self.

A Curb On Poverty

Poverty is a curse to humanity. Many nations of the world are facing this problem and are trying to find a solution.India is one among them. In our country also crores of people are living below the poverty line. Real development sets in only when their lot is improved. Governments are taking several steps in this regard. But by and large they have not yielded the desired result. Population explosion is the main hurdle in the way of removal of poverty.The root cause of poverty is man’s selfishness. Some people amass wealth and exploit others. The exploited remain poor. The rich are getting richer and the poor still poorer. There are a number of reasons for this. The wealth of nation is not equally distributed among its people. There is a yawning gulf between the rich and the poor. Society is divided into haves and have not's. Only few countries people have the right to property. Some get rich while others remain poor.

Our country has no reason to suffer from poverty. It is a land with great natural resources. But these are not properly utilized. Added to this, a large section of the population is not industrious. People are not ready to accept whatever work comes to them and do it well. This lethargy also is one of the causes of India’s poverty. Crores of people do not have basic needs fulfilled. They do not have a shelter, proper clothing or enough food. Many spend their lives without a fixed home. The Mahatma realized their neglected state and pleaded for their up-liftment. Since independence many schemes have been implemented to eradicate poverty. But they have not met with great success. Eradication of poverty has been one of the chief objectives of our planning.

Fifty seven years of political independence failed to bring in economic development. Government are thinking of short term measures like providing subsides etc to alleviate poverty. The benefits of these measures are not reaching the really poor. Many selfish officials and mediators foil these schemes. Eradication of poverty has remained only as an attractive election slogan. Sincere efforts are not being made in this regard.

Long-term measures have to be taken on a large scale to eradicate poverty. Farmers have to be helped in every aspect. Job opportunities have to be improved. Self employment schemes have to be started in good number. The uneducated villagers should not be allowed to fail into the clutches of money lenders. Above all people should be so educated that they realize what is good for them. Only then poverty disappears.
