But tonight, the gracious vocal queen made her highly anticipated return with a live performance of her hit, Rolling In The Deep, at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards.

The now six-time Grammy winner’s performance did anything but disappoint; in fact she was pure perfection. Following, the British singer gracefully bowed with gratitude to a standing ovation while pausing, gazing about the stadium, as if to be taking in every detail of that very moment.

Chills, chills, chills! Such a beautiful spirit and purely gracious talent.

Singers rep confirms death reports.

On the eve of the Grammys, singing legend and six-time Grammy winner Whitney Houston has been pronounced dead tonight. She was 48 years old.

The singer, who publicly struggled drug addiction for years past, was found dead at 3:55pm today in a Beverly Hilton Hotel room where she was slated to attend a pre-Grammy party tonight held by music giant and dear friend Clive Davis.

Her cause of death has yet to be revealed. Whitney is survived by her 17 year old daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown.

The music superstar was one of the world’s best-selling music artists, winning 2 Emmys, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 AMAs, 6 Grammys, and the list goes on.

Sad, sad, sad! We are completely devastated by the news!

Bone-a-fied Australian stud steps up to the plate in place of the late Andy Whitfield.

Newcomer Liam McIntyre is enjoying all sorts of “welcome” success as the new rebel gladiator Spartacus in Starz’s new series, Spartacus: Vengeance. The 29-year-old actor’s face - and strapping bare, brood chest - can currently be seen splashed across buses, benches, and massive billboards in large metropolitan cities throughout the nation. Fridays at 10pm.

He recently spoke to People Magazine about being a trampoline champ, dork and confesses what guilty pleasure he misses most.

1. He'll always be grateful to Andy Whitfield

McIntyre received Whitfield's blessing to take over the Spartacus role before passing away last September.

"I wouldn't have the role of my life without him," says McIntyre. "He did such an amazing job. I owe Andy the respect to do this job as the best as I can."

2. He's chivalrous

The self-described "dork" is a true gentleman. "I'm polite. It's always ladies first: door opening and not eating before them," says McIntyre. "My mum would always frown at me and go, 'That's not how we do things in this household,' if I did it wrong."

His honorable qualities have paid off in the romance department. He's dating Aussie singer-actress Erin Hasan. "She's exceptional," he says. "We recently celebrated our 1-year anniversary and it feels like forever in a good way."

3. He's a sexy phone operator – just not that kind!

Before acting full time, McIntyre worked for a Village Cinema in Australia coordinating what movies played on their screens. His other responsibilities included assisting moviegoers by using his alluring baritone voice.

"I'm still the voice message service for my old cinema," he says proudly. "I would use my deepest, darkest, steamiest, sexiest, voice to say things like, to speak to a booking officer push one, to speak to someone about parties and events push two. It was the job of my dreams if I was never going to become an actor."

4. He's a trampoline champ

While studying abroad in Ireland for a business degree during the early 2000's, he discovered trampolining, a competitive Olympic sport during which gymnasts perform acrobatic flips while bouncing on a trampoline.

"Me and somersaults go way back!" he says. "I won the third prize while traveling around Europe competing. As crazy as it sounds, it's pretty awesome."

5. He has a sweet tooth

To get his 6-pack gladiator physique, he relies on three-hour gym sessions and a diet of mostly only chicken, vegetables and protein shakes. But the treat he misses the most?

"Chocolate mousse! I don't even want to mention it because I'll start craving it," he says with a laugh. "I'll get cheat days, but for Christmas I cheated too much. I had delicious turkey, mashed potatoes, garlic bread and everything that makes a great Aussie Christmas. Now I'm back thrashing myself!”

Demi Moore Hospitalized For Reported Substance Abuse, Drops Out Of 'Lovelace'

Demi Moore, following her hospitalization Tuesday night, has dropped out of the film Lovelace.

Moore is officially seeking professional help for exhaustion but is rumored to have a substance abuse problem. TMZ reports that the actress will no longer feature in the biopic of former porn star Linda Lovelace; Moore was set to play a small role as feminist activist Gloria Steinem, who took a very public stance against pornography.

Amanda Seyfried will star as Lovelace and Peter Sarsgaard as Lovelace's ex-husband and porn production manager Chuck Traynor. James Franco will play Hugh Hefner in a small role, while Hank Azaria in December signed on to play Jerry Damiano, the director of Deep Throat.

Last seen in the ensemble financial drama Margin Call and the Sam Levinson-directed drama Another Happy Day, Moore will next be seen alongside Miley Cyrus in the comedy "LOL.”

While at the LA launch of her new book, Kyle also reveals that unlike fellow Housewives Gretchen Rossi and Kim Zolciak, she has no plans to release a single. “I do love to sing but I wouldn’t do it. I’m too embarrassed to,” she laughs.

In addition to plenty of eager fans piling in at The Grove Barnes & Noble Bookstore to catch a glimpse of the beloved Housewives star, Kyle’s real support came from a close group of friends and family. It was just a couple days ago that Marc Jacobs was frolicking on a St. Barts beach with ex-fiance Lorenzo Martone. The two spent the day splashing and flirting with one other, appearing very back-on again. But now a Brazilian gossip site is reporting that Jacobs may actually have a new man in his life - porn star Harry Louis (pictured above, right).

While Marc and Lorenzo called off their relationship in the summer of 2010, the two had appeared as chummy as ever while in St. Barts, leaving us to think they were possibly working things out.

Jacobs recently told Vogue Magazine of his relationship with Martone:

“Yeah, we’re best friends. We speak to each other, I don’t know, six times a day.”

Meryl Streep Talks About Opening New Women’s History Museum

Inspired by her close grandmother, who was alive prior to the passing of the 19th amendment, Meryl Streep is leading efforts in a $400 million women’s history museum project in Washington D.C.

Thanks to Meryl Streep, The National Women’s History Museum will share ~~history~~ herstory of ladies from the past. A past that would not allow women to vote, let alone have a voice.

She explains:

"History until the 20th century was written by one member of the human family and it wasn't the mother. It was dad. That's who wrote history and ... what was important? Movements of armies, sovereignty of nations, all sorts of things. But women were there all along and they have incredible stories that we don't know anything about."

Interesting. Now we’re intrigued...

Meryl, who plays Margret Thatcher in the upcoming film The Iron Lady, donated $1 million to the project and gladly serves as it’s public face.

While the museum’s plans must still be approved by congress, a bill allowing construction of the project has been passed by the House and Senate.

Top 5... Life Lessons We Learned In 2011

We’ve had a long, crazy year filled with ups and plenty of downs, and after all of the brand new trials and tribulations of 2011, I’m finally starting to see what they mean what saying “everything happens for a reason.”

Of all the difficult trials and tribulations we experienced this past year, we’re proud to reflect and feel stronger, more mature, and a bit wiser.

Here are what we feel to be our Top 5 life lessons we learned in 2011. Maybe they’ll be of some insight for you.

1. What it really means to “Love Yourself."

At one point or another in our lives we’ve all heard the expression "love yourself.” But what does that really mean?

For the longest time this simple, seemingly self-explanitory expression never really meant much to me. I mean, sure I’ve always loved myself, but after paying close attention to the wise words of madam Oprah Winfrey, I really got to thinking about this one...

Turns out there’s a lot more to it than we thought.

You see, loving yourself isn’t just saying, “I’m ok with me as I am.” You have to feel it. It’s looking at yourself in the mirror, excepting your flaws and differences as they are and being ok with who you are as an individual, verses you against the world.

The first step in loving yourself is to stop focusing so hard on the differences between you and everyone you encounter. Hollywood celebrity comparisons is an area to avoid especially. After all, they pay thousands upon thousands of dollars to appear perfected... they’re not just God’s favorite children.

The more we compare ourselves to others, the more we are going to feel invalid and less than. After all, that is where the focus is being placed... on the negative.

Let’s face it, people are always going to be different from one another so to compare yourself to the “skinny girl” at your office (for example), you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment and self-hatred. Be realistic with yourself. It’s ok if you never look like “that girl,” but don’t beat yourself up over it.

Sometimes genetic differences keep us from getting to the “skinny girls” size and other times it’s just lack of self discipline, but beating yourself up for your differences is completely pointless, counter productive and will just leave you miserable, sitting in a dark sea of self hatred.

I mean, sure, you can strive to lose weight like your skinny role model, but don’t make it a comparison goal. Make it about self achievement and you’ll be a lot more motivated and less miserable.

The sooner you can tune out your differences from others, the sooner you can focus on your own happiness, applying that energy on being the best you you can be.

2. Dating when you know you’re lost.

For a majority of this past year we dated up a storm. It was our 25th year of life so of course being in our prime we justified serial dating sprees, turning over every man-stone we could find. The problem? We were lost mentally and emotionally, so to try and match a lost sense of self with someone “right” just wasn’t going to happen. I had to make me right before I could find Mr. Right.

Dating while feeling completely lost inside only set ourself up for disappointment, disappointment, disappointment.

In order to successfully date in hopes of a positive outcome, you have to know you first. Focus on you before you focus on someone else.

3. You can’t find yourself in someone else.

Part of the dating spree we expereinced in 2011 made us realize one big factor: YOU CAN’T FIND YOURSELF IN SOMEONE ELSE.

The more we searched for our "other half” (before searching ourself) the less changes we had of finding that other half.

Remember, we’re creatures that see and feel energy, positive and negative. If you’re feeling desperate and eager, you’re going to come off that way and no one wants to date the desperate one.

A good way to help yourself with this one is to think about what you find attractive in someone else’s persaonlity. I mean, who doesn’t love confidence and self assurance in their significant other half? It’s calming, reassuring and sexy. Find you, then find them.

4. We all experience the same lonely feeling at one point or another.

It’s part of nature for humans (even some animals) to experience the dark, bitter feeling of lonliness.

Think about the last time you felt lonely. Then think about anyone else you may have known in your life who ever said they too felt lonely at times.

A big thing we realized in 2011 when experiencing extreme lows and loneliness (even with people around), was that we all as human beings experience lonliness at some point in our life. It’s completely natural. We just have to remember that we’re not alone and that our neighbors, friends and family members have all experienced that same dark low at some point in their life. It’s all part of the human experience.

Occupy your mind with hopeful, positive thoughts and allow that to motivate you into doing something about it.

5. Human insecurities are a LOT more common than you think.

I hate my hair, my thighs are huge, my nose is enormous. These are just a few of the many many insecurities humans suffer from in their daily lives. Of course when it’s us, all we focus on are our own self-hatred thoughts that most people don’t always notice. You are your own worst critic.

After all, it’s pretty hard not to be when looking at the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie

and Sophia Vegara. Believe it or not, celebrities have their own insecurities, too. In fact, being under a daily microscope makes it even hard for celebrities to meet expectation that we as everyday folks don’t have to face.

Of course appearance is just the tip of the ice berg when digging into the topic of human insecurities. People suffer from all kinds of insecurities: money, jobs, social status, designer clothing, zip codes, etc. etc.

This brings us back to the part about blocking everyone else out and looking ahead on your own path. Sure we can stare at the people next to us and compare ourselves to them all day long but where does that get you? Depressed and miserable. Look forward. Block out thoughts of every other thing you “don’t have” and paint your own picture with the colors you do have.

The reality is, we are all so different in so many ways. We can’t all be hot, skinny, rich and roll in social cirlces with Kim Kardashian and Kate Moss. Join the club!

Keep learning for those life lessons, friends. Remember to focus on you and stop comparing yourself to everything you see and want. Then you’ll be a lot better off. :)

Lindsay Lohan: Back To Work!

Well... sorta.

After gracing the cover of Playboy Magazine’s December issue, dimming starlet Lindsay Lohan was fortunate enough to snag another gig to follow, the face of Jag Jeans.

According to E Online, photographer Yu Tsai, same photog who shot Lilo’s Playboy spread recently, shot the actress for the new Jag Jeans campaign.

Tsai says of Lilo’s work:

“Lindsay did not disappoint.”

A press release states:

"As Jag Jeans' newest endorser, Lindsay embodies the strength and fearlessness of the woman of today. She is unafraid to be who she is. She is fierce yet exudes feminine grace.

Lindsay was so involved with the shoot that she would go as far as adjusting items on the set. She even requested scissors so she could personally fray the edges of her black crepe blouse because she believed it would look better that way. Lindsay would take a hands-on approach to her shots, as she was more than willing to change her hairstyle during mid-shoot and even used her own personal jewelry and accessories when needed.”

Maybe The Kardashians AREN’T Using Slave Labor...

We mentioned earlier today that the Kardashians were under fire with shocking new details regarding their sweatshop-like production operations overseas.

Now, Charles Kernaghan, executive director of the Institute of Global Labour and Human Rights - who Star Magazine quoted to back their story - is claiming his quotes were taken out of context by the mags ballsy World Exclusive article. A story that is now causing all kinds of havoc for the K-Dash girls.

Charles says he doesn’t have any proof that the factories producing Kardashian brands K-Dash by Kardashian, the Kris Jenner Kollection
and ShoeDazzle are in fact operating under the conditions he’s quoted to have claimed in the gossip mag.

Momager Kris Jenner of course denies the allegations stating that the factories are “strictly policed.” Robert Shapiro, owner of Kim’s ShoeDazzle, also stated that his team “invested tons of time, energy and money to ensure the factories are operating in god standard.”

Well, guess only time will tell... Do it right, girls!

Under Fire: Kardashian Brands Produced In Chinese Sweatshops With ‘Virtually Imprisoned’ Labor Conditions

Uh-oh! Sounds like the Kardashian klan’s eager-beaver antics are finally catching up with them.

The ladies, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, have been praised in the past for their savy business sense, having created the mega million dollar empire known as “Kardashian” all stemming from a simple E! reality show (which of course lead to spin-off after spin-off).

From clothing lines to create-your-own shoes via the web, the Kardashians have been putting their name on anything and everything and while it seems to be serving them well, the Kardashian empire is yet again under fire with new details of the girls’ brands being crafted in foreign sweatshops with slave-like conditions.

According to Radar, the Kardashian’s lines K-Dash by Kardashian, the Kris Jenner Kollection for QVC, and ShoeDazzle (founded by Kim) are under investigation by a prestigious human-rights watchdog organization.

Apparently the ladies have been endorsing and selling products produced in foreign sweatshops where employees, some as young as 16-years-old, are paid as little as $1 per hour and work up for 84 hours per week in “slave” like conditions.

Charles Kernaghan, executive director of the institute for Global Labour and Human Rights, says “the Kardashians are in bed with some pretty bad people.” He goes all to call the region of Kardashian product production a “scary place” and the peak summers “brutal” with temperatures reaching 100˚F with no air-conditioning to keep cool.

Radar Online reports:

The sweatshop workers live in squalid factory-run dormitories filled with the stench of sewage while toiling up to 84 hours during seven-day work weeks to produce some of the goods that helped Kourtney, 32, Kim, 31, Khloé, 27, mom Kris, 56, and the rest of their family earn $65 million last year.

Just AWFUL!

A rep for the Kardashians has said in response of the allegations:

“This is the first we are hearing about it and take it very seriously as we would never condone this. We are presently investigating the situation.”

Well, someone needs to! While we don’t personally think the K-Klan knew of the production conditions in China, it’s probably time they start getting a liiiittle more involved with the more vital aspects of their brands. After all, any smart business man (or woman) would cover all angels of their bread and butter, don’t you think?

The 2nd Anniversary Of Brittany Murphy’s Death Comes With More Mold Drama

It's the two-year anniversary of the death of actress Brittany Murphy and while it's now a tradition for us to honor the actresses life here on SchubertSays.com, we actually have an UPDATE on the passing of the late screen siren.

The actress, who's sudden December 20, 2009 death was ruled the result of a combination of pneumonia, anemia and prescription drug intoxication, may actually be the result of toxic mold in the home of Murphy and her husband, Simon Monjack, who passed away shortly after her in the same Hollywood Hills home.

Now, new reports claim that the actresses mother, Sharon Murphy, is blaming the death of her late daughter and son-in-law to toxic mold found in the couples home and she's going after her own defense lawyers for this one.

According to TMZ, Sharon claims that the people who built the house are to blame for the mold that caused their condition but will now be unable to seek justice via lawsuit against the builders. A new lawsuit filed by Sharon alleges she was duped by her own lawyers into giving up her rights to sue the builders for wrongful death.

Apparently Sharon accepted a settlement offer - as advised by her lawyers - for the construction defects back in January. The part Sharon wasn't advised on... that she would never be able to go after the builders for their alleged role in Brittany's 2009 death (if toxic mold or any other defect turned out to be the cause).

Sharon has now hired Michael Marzban to sue her former lawyers for legal malpractice.

Man, oh man, sounds as though Sharon may have a long road ahead of her on this one.
