Hi again ppl!

I've decided to give the new BlogMatrix service a try.
I think AC mentioned it in his DSC yesterday.
Seems like this could be a great service, with a minimal one off charge.
I'll see how the free trial goes & then decide which way to go.

This does of course mean another new feed...

Looks like the new feed is working.
iPodder seems to like it & recognizes that there is an MP3 & queues it up for downloading.

Oh & don't worry about the sound quality on that test MP3.
It was recorded using my Creative MuVo MP3 player, which has a tiny built in mic.
I'll be using my lovely new Plantronics head set mic to record Sciencecast proper.

Any comments, suggestions & requests for Science news/ advise/ explanations are welcome.

Cassini-Huygens Mission to Titan

Today has been a resounding success for the Huygens probe!

A successful landing on the surface of Titan, with data being sent back that is far in excess of that predicted.

The mission would have been considered a success, if only 3 minuets of data where received from the surface of Titan, however it now seems that we will have approximately seventy (70) minuets of data from the surface.

Three photographs have already been released, including one taken of the surface of Titan. Estimates being that upwards of 300 photographs have been taken. No doubt we are in for a visual & data rich feast, in the coming days, months & years, deriving from this mission.
