Alligator Alley in Florida made for a really enjoyable road trip, so alas we took to the road! But perhaps I was a little naïve. I expected the sides of the road to be alligator infested but to my disappointment I only managed to spot two or three. We ended the excursion by going to Billie Swamp Safari which I must say was beautiful. Took an airboat ride around the swamp and managed to snap these beauties:

Bourbon Street New Orleans

New Orleans was fantastic! I had a delicious dinner at the New Orleans Hard Rock Café before embarking on a much anticipated walk down the famous Bourbon Street. The excitement was infectious from door to door. Public drinking, loud music, pretty women. Bourbon Street in New Orleans is always alive

Casino Drinks and Bad Luck

Sometimes I like to walk into a casino and try my luck. When I start to lose I just walk around, drink in hand, and watch people lose big. On rare occasions I actually find some lucky jackpot winners. Man my luck sucks. On real bad days I'll sit at the penny slot machines and wait for the lady serving drinks to come around. One of my favorite casinos in Oklahoma is the Choctaw casino in Grant Oklahoma. I also like the casinos in Louisiana like Horseshoe Casino in Shreveport and Margaritaville Casino.

When it snows here in the south even just an inch, people lose all rhyme and reason and get so excited. They usually pray for a snow day. That's when the highways freeze over and noone has to go to school. On this day I caught a sweet couple bundled up together posing for a picture. They forgot to erase this message from the feathery snow :)!
