I worked there a while back. Glendale California. The people were so racist and many of them were OT's. You're completely at cause over the MEST universe yet you employ the emotional crutch of racism in your life? Um...kay. It was a hostile work environment. A lot of nice people but the wife of the owner was a phoney and the owner, may he rest in peace, seened like he had a lot to hide. Too many fire-breathing hyper partisan nuts for me.

They consult auto mechanics on how to run their businesses based on LRH tech. Lots of FSMing, those poor people who take and mail back that "Black Hole" quiz never see what's coming. The SAME "success" stories being sent out to exhausted mailing lists, year in, year out. Angry people calling all day demanding to be removed from their annoying mailings lists.

So glad to say goodbye to all that place. Yuck yuck yuck.

I have been in Scn from mid 70 to mid 90, had been on staff in germany for together
10 years or so. Recently read through the main stories about Sea Org/Int/Ratbun and
how it is to be a Sea Org member these days.

In fact, I am a bit shocked. Shure I had some experiences on my on and observations
while being on staff. But what I had to read now I really cannot understand.

It looks for me that those still in the Sea Org need a course on how to survive in a
suppressive environment.

I want to tell some stories of mine. But in advance I have to explain some things.
Shure the non Scientologist and the nowadays Scientlologist who is only lied to cannot
grasp that Scn can make one more able and "OT". But for shure that was true.
Especially in the 70ies.

I had been the target from the Ethics Officer in the org many times. As I was not
saying YES to orders. I went home when I wanted to, even went out to go to a Disco
or simply had to work when pay was low.
Every time the Ethics Officer wanted to call me in, I managed to push him off post.
Somtimes the Ethics Officer went sick or had been sent to FOLO (europe headquarter)
or had been on ethics trouble himself. Thus I learned how to get rid of my enemies.

Later I did that with upper level people too. You only have to be strong enough and
willing to use your power. The main point is, willing to use your power.

Once we had a CMO Mission in the org. They introduced the "Gang Bang Sec Check".
Every staff got that kind of sec ceck. Guess what.. except me. Why? I am trained
auditor and was working next to the office those sec checks had been given. Thus
I decided to get that kind of sec check and find out exactly how it works and then
handle the people doing that. (the CMO Mission doing that) Could not do that cause
the mssn left and I did not get a sec check.

Once we had a really nasty int mssn in the org. Finally the mssnr had attention on
me and wanted to "handle" me. I spottet it thelepatically and guess what? He
instantly "had to go back home".

Let me tell a story from outside the Scn world. As I had been in the german army
I had been ordered a weekend to do the "watch".
(missing the english word. Quarter Master maybe.)
It is 24 hours on post to secure the building with little sleep.
The senior there ordered me a second turn on sunday.
I refused and sayed no. He screamed at me and in front of others doing the watch
in different buildings blamed me that we cannot sleep a second cause of me and bla bla.
Guess what.. nothing really happend.

If you are powefull use your power and insist of being free. Even inside Scn.
LRH says that suppressives can only resimulate and have no power of their own.
That is by my experience true.

I had onother experience in the German Army. I was the driver for a higher rank. I
think it was 3 ranks below General. Usually I followed usual orders. But with him
next to me I even drove left turn when he ordered me to do a right turn. I do not
know why. But I had some kind of unlike towards him that I did always not the way he
wanted me to do. Shure he was nuts. But I reacted to it. The situation became
really dangerous, as he once had been shouting at me and I had a blank while driving.
I did not notice. Someone behind me in the car tapped on my shoulder and I woke up.
Thus I decided to handle the situation. Thus I looked at it at home very closely and
the next day I not only had no longer been his driver but he was very friendly towards
me. A man at his rank usually never is shaking hands with a low grade I had been. But
he did. Thus, the situation had been handled and I had been no longer effect of him.

I cannot understand the story of DM and musical chairs. Those doing that should be the
top Scn ranks. What do they do? They behave like slaves. I think those should instantly
leave. Right now!
Ok maybe they signed the "pledge to all mankind". (i did not)
Basically if you signed that you agreed to be a slave. Read it carefully and you know.
But even if you signed it, fuck with it. Just cancel your agreement with it and Go.

I've read books by people who were formerly involved in Scientology. I've read books about Scientology. I've read books about cults in general. So far none of them have discussed what I'm going to deal with here.

From reading the books on cults it becomes apparent very quickly that they all do the same basic things. There are variations in the details and specifics. I'm not going into the narrative of the actions they do. You can read about that in many books.

There reaches a point in a cult's development where the cult leader has accumulated more followers than they can deal with personally. The leader needs the members of the group to apply the leader's methods of coercion, deception, manipulation and control to bring more recruits into the cult, indoctrinate them, exploit them and then deploy them.

The training to do that really begins when a person comes into the cult and joins it. The practices of the cult are couched in an attractive lie full of promises of paradise for all, improved abilities, spiritual awakening, financial prosperity, personal freedom, improved relationships, improved political conditions, a saved world, and the list goes on.

The truth is this: The purpose of a cult is to provide the leader with wealth, comfort and resources.

If you are in a cult or were in a cult that is most likely a very difficult truth to accept. I know it was for me.

In training their followers to do the various actions involved with the cult leader's deception and manipulation the cult leader cannot tell the followers what the actual result of those actions entail. If the cult leader did that they would very quickly find themselves alone without anyone giving them their money, possessions, gifts and labor.

The result of this training consists of a group of followers who engage in actions that are detrimental, deleterious and malignant to themselves and others but that they believe are beneficial, benign, and helpful.

This behavior will continue within the cult after the leader dies. The behavior will likely continue with individuals who leave the cult, whether they do so on their own or are offloaded by the cult. Almost certainly, since people tend to want to help others, they will teach the methods of their training to others outside the cult.

Aside from the personal benefits from deprogramming I think it's important to go through the therapy, education and deconstruction involved with deprogramming in order to address and remove the cult leader's training such that the negative effects of it do not continue to contaminate the former cult member's new friends, associates, colleagues and family.

I have seen this many times and I am an example of it. People leave a cult and then go back. This is mysterious to their family and friends. Let me see if I can take the mystery out of this and maybe set things up so that if you are in the situation where a friend or family member comes away from a cult you can help them stay away.

I have been asked, "Why did you go back?" I couldn't answer it until I reached the point when my deprogramming began. Once I did reach that point I had an answer for that question. I went back because I was away from but not out of the cult.

What?

Read the titles of a number of books: Combatting Cult Mind Control, Battle for the Mind, Captive Hearts Captive Minds, (My underlining). That should give you a clue. Although a cult tends to have a person physically held somewhere within cult premises, what the cult has actually captured is the person's mind.

They can leave the cult but still believe all of the cult's promises, follow the cult's indoctrination, and hold onto the cult's apparent goals. Physically they are away from the cult but mentally they are still captive. They are away but not out. In that state of mind they will almost certainly go back to the cult.

When I left and went back to my family they assumed I was out and treated me as such. To avoid conflict I played along. Later on I went back. Fortunately one of my family members successfully intervened and saw to it that I read things the cult does not want it's members to read and I left for good before the cult took from me everything I had one more time. If they had succeeded I'm sure it would have killed me.

So what do you do when a friend or family member comes away from a cult?

Before that happens you could do some preparation by reading up on cults. There are many good books on the subject. I mentioned three of them earlier in this post.

The next thing to do is change your attitude toward the person who has come back from the cult. How you treated them before may have predisposed them to be attracted to what the cult offered them to get them to "try it out" leading to and resulting in their indoctrination. Realize that your relationship with that person will never be what it was before and if you were dominant or controlling with that person you have to relinquish that entirely.

While they were closely involved in the cult they were under extreme control, watched all the time and without any privacy. They were also subjected to sleep deprivation and most likely experienced malnutrition. On leaving the cult they almost certainly have physical health and dental issues that need tending, although that's not what this is about.

The first thing you need to establish with the person is that it is completely safe for them to tell you anything about the cult and about their plans with regard to it. If you don't set that up and make it a thing you will not be able to find out whether the person is actually out of the cult or just away from it. The latter is almost certainly the case and if you are going to make any assumptions that's what you should assume.

I would recommend that when they first arrive away from the cult that you say something like this to them. "I would like to talk with you about what went on with you in the cult, why you came away from it and about any issues you may have with it, but not right now. You're probably tired and need a few days of rest." You might also ask that if they're thinking of contacting anyone in the cult that they hold off until after you've had a chance to discuss it with them.

Give them three days to sleep as long as they like and feed them some very nutritious food. You can have fun stuff like pizza and ice cream but try to provide as much complete nutrition as possible. Once out of contact for three days, rested and feeling well fed they will be in better shape to deal with what they have been through and more likely to agree to reading those things the cult wants them not to read. They will also be in a better state of mind to start taking on tasks like finding a job. That's another issue that needs attention but the primary goal here is to make sure they actually get out of the cult, not just away from it.

Well that's what to do but how do you do it? Here's the thing. I really don't know. My family member got me to agree not to go back and to read the things I wasn't allowed to read. I was on the receiving end of that, not the one doing it.

They stayed calm. They did not get angry with me. They asked me questions. What happened in the cult? What did you think of what they said to you? What did you think about how they treated you? What happened before you left? How did you leave? Why did you leave?

Then any time I made a comment about the people in the cult assessing me or my possessions as potential cult assets or the cult controlling me to my detriment or expressing doubts or concerns they got into that and asked for more detail. Gradually I opened up more and more. Eventually I agreed not to go back and to read the internet and books about the cult and cults in general. At that point I was still in. While reading those things I should not read I reached a point where I was indeed out.

I'm sure that there will be variations on this and none of the experiences will be the same. You may also expect to fail, but if you're patient and give the person room to breathe and really do what to help them I think you will very likely succeed.

"Mission Impossible Fallout" is the 6th film in the MI series, and is by far the most successful.

MI-F had the widest release, saw the greatest box office receipts, and holds a rotten tomatoes
rating over 95%. These are all significant measures for any film, and collectively they represent
another high point for its producer and star Tom Cruise, who has also been credited as being
the most visible public "face" of the Church of Scientology.

One aspect that has not yet been explored by any reviewer is, could there be "hidden"
Scientology-influenced messages within its production? This isn't an inducement or endorsement
for buying a ticket, as it's quite likely, that a portion of the film's profits may be re-directed by
Mr. Cruise back into the coffers of his endorsed religion. We're looking into its plot here,
and although this has already been explored on the film's wikipedia page, take this as a
"spoiler alert" (for readers who have not seen this film).

The central theme is best espoused by the MI's protagonist, a terrorist whose central motivation
is to induce states of fear and shock. His typed, double-spaced "manifesto" is boiled down to
a phrase, justifying his goal of creating "greater suffering" for a result of a "greater peace,"
and to achieve those states he has stolen some plutonium to arm his own nuclear devices.

To those in the know, the Scientology equivalent is quite clear, as this is straight out of
L Ron Hubbard. His writings include the book "Fear" from 1940, and within his "Science of Survival"
of 1950-1951 is an endorsement of the use of nuclear weapons on Japan in 1945, claiming the
shock from their use helped quickly end that war. L Ron Hubbard also reportedly wanted to acquire
a nuclear bomb for unspecified uses, according to his son (in a 1983 interview).

One MI segment explores the detonation of three of these devices on the central religious
sites of the Vatican, the Kabaa at Mecca, and the temple at Jerusalem. Does this film
simulation represent a claimed superiority of Scientology, where LRH wrote that only
his religion could help its followers survive a nuclear attack?

To those who look deeper for clues, there are a number of "tricks" employed as plot twists,
which could be better speculated upon. Masks are employed, then ripped off, which is an
identical representation to images from the "suppressive persons" courses. The numbering
of the "3" attacks is also familiar to expressions heard from the highest-level of Scientology
followers (who often repeat their statements 3 times as an indication of their significance).
Ethan Hunt's also frequently experiences nightmares as "dream states" throughout the film
(perhaps readers here can share possible explanations for those presentations).

Where these "tricks" can be seen as more than just film devices, they may be viewed as
dramatizations of a mantra heard most simply in "Wild Hogs," an earlier title which featured
fellow Scientologist John Travolta. When the situation in "Wild Hogs" got out of hand in Madrid,
New Mexico at the hand of the motorcycle gang the"Del Fuegos," Travolta's character stated
that he had to "make it go right" to explain his motivation to confront the gang in the street.

Film analysis can often be a speculative and subjective process (reference: Pauline Kael),
but when dealing with productions by L Ron Hubbard or his Scientology followers, its messages
seem to be as overt as possible. Consider LRH's own efforts to market his "Revolt in the Stars"
script (based upon the Scientology OT3 story of Xenu) in the late 1970's, or "Battlefield Earth."
With these acknowledged, can it be asked: Could this "make it go right" advocacy not only be the
central drive behind "Mission Impossible: Fallout" but also be a premise dramatized by the entire MI series?

My comment: This helps explain why otherwise sensible people put all their faith in a flawed leader or group, or hide crimes committed by its leadership - they think the group or religion or political party or even sports team is so wondrous, that the end justifies the means. So, they cover up or ignore sex abuse, fraud, extortion, lies, etc. etc. Some Scientology members are skeptical and see through the sham and the crimes, but feel trapped and that they'd lose their family if they criticize. Often, a Scientology family is dominated by a true fanatic, who could be described as a collective narcissist.
