Johan and Meijuan had one of the funniest groomsmen and bridesmaids. And really, you get to know the couple by the friends they have. I normally would edit out the funny parts and put it in the video. For them I had a hard time figuring out what to put in because they were all too funny.

They had the most interesting ring bearer I’ve seen – a helicopter
While I was meeting them before the wedding over coffee, they were telling me all about the helicopter, how the one they bought didn’t have enough power and all and was even planning to get a bigger more powerful one right after meeting me

Theirs was a split day, they had their wedding dinner on the next day, thus I had more time to do up the videos. I decided to split up the morning and the church into 2 videos because it was a totally different emotion I got during the morning and the church

Nick and his brothers were really good dancers I must say. From korean dance to mambo, nothing was too difficult for them.

The MC for their solemnization reminded the guests (except the groom!) to put their phones on silent mode. Guess what, his phone started ringing just when he started with his vows. Both Nick and Pauline did not prepare any vows and decided to give an impromptu one on that day. What they promised each other was really heartfelt and sincere.

Like what Nick had to do – get 99 likes for his status, I hope we can get as many likes for their video!

I think there is more pressure especially when they are your friends. It has been a long time since I felt nervous before a church ceremony. I was just telling Amos before Eunice made her entrance that I was super nervous.

Saying all that, it made a difference to what I took notice of and how I shot because I knew them too well. His love for coffee and watches, her eye for details (her gown with 40 buttons) and emotions.

For the past years, Scintilla Studio has been documenting weddings for clients from all walks of life. All documentary images, along with a unique style and approach, have brought Scintilla Studio international acclaim. Scintilla Studio love capturing moments & emotions, delivering many smiles to our delighted couples.

Shann has been known for her deep understanding of the uniqueness of each couple. She documents each and every detail and as well as the couple, not just the event and does cinematography (some of you call it videography) with her own unique style. Having shot for 5 years before venturing out on her own, she is highly inspired by Stillmotion (http://www.stillmotion.ca/) which she flew all the way to Canada and attended their workshop. Shann calls each and every wedding a love story and to her. A story that means something to the couple.

All our couples knows Amos for not being your regular photographer, shooting for over 3 years. He only shoots on selected weekends and keep his assignments within a limited capacity to ensure that he delivers the highest quality of work to all our couples. It’s no secret that wedding photography have been a passion, more than meeting the dough. Like Shann, Amos travels the world to attend workshops, selecting the most exquisite albums to compliment the final delivery of the album to clients.

We have been lucky that most of our business have been referrals, an encouragement that our works have been appreciated.

Claire was a wonderful colleague of mine. What’s so wonderful you may think? Claire, formerly from Silkair (oh no…she wasn’t flying but I know that you she did, it would have been SIA.) joined during the time where crisis were happening at work. We shared the work while we went headless through few projects without all those political back stabbing which was very important during that point in time. We often lunch together and took turns to organize gatherings and celebrated birthdays among our colleagues even when she was transferred to somewhere else after a while.

She was a fun person to be with, an excellent vocal who could sing and for your info, she can really mambo…put you all Zoukers to shame! During difficult time, she also gave me a listening ear which I fondly remembered.

When I first started wedding photography, Claire & Alvin volunteered to be my model so that I can at least show my clients some pictures. That’s what friends are for. It’s a pity that my hard disk crashed and all I left was a picture of Claire…herself.

This wedding shoot was an invitation (self invitation)…a chance for me to say thank you…for all the time spent. I have enjoyed every moment shooting her wedding and her last message during the dinner will always be remembered.

Alessa is from Singapore, Chris is from Ohio
Chris loves Singapore and “teh-ping” so much he wanted to serve it to all his guests at the wedding much to the despair of Alessa.

Chris and Alessa asked me if I could help them compile some of the greetings that their friends from all over the world were going to send because some of them couldn’t be at their wedding in Singapore and I agreed.
After compiling the videos, it made me feel like I’ve known Chris and Alessa for years. Watch it and you would know what I mean. You would get a pretty rough idea of who they are. I had much laughs editing it and watching it through.

They had their wedding at Capella, and had a special guest – the peacock

I’m trying very hard to put down the feelings and details that happened in the wedding, but there’s really too much details and too much intricate feelings and emotions that I can’t seem to put in words.

I hope you would be able to feel all those when watching the video!

Merry christmas everyone!

Diana kept every single letter, every single present, she even kept the box that contained the letters and presents given to her by Krist. Everything that you see in the video is real. None of it was a prop or re-created. We went back the places that the events happened, the restaurant, the colonial house, the place where they took their walks. Even the clues that were used for the treasure hunt were the original clues

We had long discussions about what we should do, the concept, interviews? re-enactment?
We finally decided to keep everything as real as possible. Putting in real events that were significant to them
I really had fun going around with them, having lunches, shot them while they were really talking with each other, laughing and enjoying each other’s company

To Krist and Diana: 害羞的笑.. I think can qualify for 金马奖 already.. haha

Background story and behind the scenes:
- The presents in the box are all items that Diana likes
e.g unscented candles (Krist handmade candles but made scented ones)

- Krist wrote in his last letter that if Diana was interested to work things out, he would be waiting for her at Jaan, 730pm
on the day of shoot, we only had the time-slot from 630pm to 7pm. We were at Sentosa cove (our previous shoot location) chilling out, waiting for time to pass. We decided to leave only at about 615pm, totally forgetting that there would be a jam. We only reached Jaan at 650pm leaving me with only 5-10 mins of shooting time. I’m glad I got all the shots required. We still laugh at that incident thinking back

- Krist loves to hold Diana’s hand while driving.
It’s not because of the shoot that he did that. I can vouch for that because when I’m in the car with them, even when I’m not shooting, he does it

- On the day that we were going to the colonial house, the house that they wanted to rent at first, Diana lamented that it would have been nice if we had a raining scene in the car which would give a variety of shots and feel to the video
10 mins after she said that, it started to rain. Even when we reached the location and wanted to shoot, it was still raining. We had to go off for lunch first before coming back to shoot

- Treasure hunt
I got Krist to plant the clues so that Diana would really be looking for them instead of acting that she is
Diana really couldn’t find some of the clues (which Krist correctly predicted)
