- Friends become foes in the ultimate wrong-com. Hulu has released the official first look at “Alice and Steve,” the upcoming outrageously witty comedy from Clerkenwell Films (“Baby Reindeer”). Starring Jemaine Clement and Nicola Walker, the series will have its world premiere in competition at CANNESERIES 2026 ahead of a summer debut on Hulu, and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers, in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally.

- Positiva Records today announces that Elton John - The Remixes will be available to download exclusively on Beatport from 19th April. Fans can pre-order it now here. - Like a great night you never want to end, The Aces today release their deluxe album, Gold Star Baby: After Hours, and keep the dance party going. The expanded record includes three new tracks: the previously released diss track “Square One,” joined by the hopeful “Can’t Wait” and a club remix of “The Magic” by the band’s own Katie Henderson. The new set of songs makes an argument against anyone who says nothing good happens after midnight — Stream. On the deluxe album as a whole, the band shared, “We felt like we wanted to keep the ‘Gold Star Baby’ party going. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: Oh joy, a penultimate flashback. There were fewer things I needed less than a Dunk backstory in the middle of an epic fight. And now The Hand is missing his brains after they fell out. Somehow less gross than how they opened the first episode.

Tell Me Lies: Wait, has this been a comedy this whole time? That ending was hilarious. Stephan is a douche, maybe the evilest person in television history that was not a serial killer, just completely loathsome; and yet, he gave a highly entertaining speech. I look forward to rewatching this show knowing it was a comedy this whole time.

But still, I was a little disappointed we never got the Stephan-Lydia hookup story other than the offhanded comment of only getting together to piss off Lucy. Or how and why Lucy reconnected with the bartender. Did she actually go back to the college after being expelled by disgrace? I was also disappointed they never got to work in a Tell Me Lies by Fleetwood Mac needle drop.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: I figured Dunk would fine six others, but I was not expecting the prince to round out the squad. Although, it is pretty obvious who will win.

Tell Me Lies: There is no way Stephen did not make a copy of that tape. Chekhov’s tape is going to be released in the finale (Lydia’s reaction to Lucy in the future really makes the tape coming out very likely). But the most interesting part of the episode was Bree talking about harming Stephan. I have long believed the show has to end with him dead or in prison and now I think it may be likely that someone murders Stephan. I wonder if we get to see the dead body if the finale setting up a who did it for next season.

Hijack: Oh joy, another dramatic cliffhanger. I wonder if this one will stick like the time they made it seem like they killed that one guy who ended up dying anyway.

Tell Me Lies: Um, why did multiple couples go to the anti-Valentine’s Day party? Does that not defeat the purpose of having an anti-Valentine’s Day party if half the people there have valentines? And how do you have an anti-Valentine’s Day party without playing the quintessential anti-love song: Love Stinks by the J. Geils Band? But I do wonder if Wrigley picking Stephan as the most likely to go to prison is foreshadowing.

Hijack: So, is that lady that supposedly knows Sam? For a second I thought she was on the flight from the first season, but IMDB says she was not on the first season. Does she know him from something else? I am confused how she fits into this whole thing.

Tell Me Lies: Well, that is one way to end an episode. But I really thought I was right about Stephan calling Diana’s father and he was going to convince her to keep it when the dad called her in the waiting room. I still wonder if there is even a small chance there is a little Stephan running around in 2015.

Hijack: They really wrote themselves into a lose-lose last week where either Sam was a cold-blooded killer or the cliffhanger was a cheap fake out. It somehow was worse; it was a fake out and the dude still died. This is getting stupid.

The Hunting Party: If they do not go after the other lady soon and use this episode’s baddy of the week, it will be time to hire new writers.

Tell Me Lies: I went through all the possibilities of what could make Bree say she is the worst person in the world las week, I really was not expecting them to tip their hands this soon with Wrigley seeming professing his love for Bree with a lengthy digital footprint between the two. I really did not think we would learn until the end of the season what that was. So, either this is one big fake out or they have another massive bombshell coming later this season.

Hijack: Wait, did Sam just straight up murder an innocent man? My number one rule of television is not to believe anyone is dead until see a body. I wonder if he just cut the feed because you really come back from murder if he is supposed to be a protagonist. Hijacking a train is fine if it is for the greater good, but murder is not.

- The 1975 today announce the tenth anniversary edition of their seminal album ‘I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it’. To celebrate the milestone, the band will be releasing a new limited edition pink vinyl housed in six panel triple gateford packaging with alternative artwork. In addition, the new version of the iconic record features 17 12” x 12” art cards, each representing a song on the album with lyrics on the reverse. - Icelandic rock band KALEO announce the 10-year anniversary deluxe edition of their debut album, A/B due out June 10 via Rhino Records. - Global icons Def Leppard have released their new single “Rejoice”. - Katie Tupper releases her debut album Greyhound via Arts & Crafts. The record is about the instinct to chase–fleeting desires, guaranteed mistakes, the feeling of home, love in all its shapes and forms. It’s already knowing the ending but letting it unfold anyway. - Created by and starring Jared Keeso (“Letterkenny”) and produced by New Metric Media in association with Play Fun Games, “Shoresy” is back with the Bulldogs! Hulu has announced the US premiere date for the highly anticipated fifth season of “Shoresy.” The Hulu Original series returns on Saturday, February 21 with all six new episodes premiering exclusively on Hulu and on Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the US. Complete seasons 1–4 are now streaming on Hulu. In addition, Hulu has announced the pickup of season 6, which will premiere in 2027.

Tell Me Lies: What the fork did Bree do that her initial thought after hearing her future husband hooked up with her bridesmaids was, she is the worst person in the world?!?!? My first thought is that she hooked up with Stephan. Then I thought maybe something happened over winter break when she was staying with Lucy (though Lucy does not have a brother to hook up with and her father is dead… but she does have a sister). But after being in the same photography class, my next thought was, did she hook up with Wigley? Then there is also the whole freshman situation. Will she hook up with the freshman? Will she have a threesome with the freshman and Lucifer? Is it going to be all of the above? I hate we will probably have to wait five more episodes to find out.

Now, I cannot believe I am saying this, but Molly is low-key the MVP of the first three episodes. I was shocked to see her again after Slapsgiving. I guess you can attribute the first episode to her being on drugs, yet after that walk of shame, I once again thought we would never see her again, but she is still around. Her storyline is going to end epically and hopefully they can outdo Slapsgiving.

The lowlight of these episodes is Diana being pregnant. I really hope she does not return home after the wedding to a seven-year-old little Stephan. But I am certainly not putting above Stephan to poke holes in a condom.

Hijack: Wait, I thought this was going to be a Die Hard situation with Idris Elba at some point saying, “How does the same thing happen to the same guy twice?” But he is actually going to be doing the hijacking this season. I also was not prepared for the “Last Season On” segment to be so long. I guess this hijacking ties into the last one. Alrighty then, buckle up.

The Hunting Party: I glad that dude in the resin turned out to be dead. When they said to check the pulse, I was like, no, no, there is no possible way. At least I got a good laugh out of the response.

I have gotten a plethora of cool press releases flooding my inbox recently that you may find interesting. - Malachi Kirby, Erin Doherty and Stephen Graham reunite for the dawn of a new era as “A Thousand Blows” returns its highly anticipated second season. Complete season 2 premiering Jan. 9, 2026.

- Occupational Hazard: The First Coral Reefers, a feature documentary that traces the origins and evolution of Jimmy Buffett’s original Coral Reefer Band during the 1970s and early 1980s, will premiere at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on February 9^th, with a second screening on February 13^th. Narrated by Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges, the documentary features commentary from Kenny Chesney, Mac McAnally, songwriter Keith Sykes as well as many original Coral Reefer band members and touring crew. The First Coral Reefers were a group of wildly talented, often unruly characters whose creative energy and personal chemistry helped define Buffett’s most iconic early work. Occupational Hazard is directed by John H. Cunningham, who has a deep and close connection to several members of the first Coral Reefers as well as to a lifelong affinity to Jimmy Buffett, as their paths crossed many times, beginning in the Florida Keys in the 1970s. - The eleven-time GRAMMY® Award-winning soul icon and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame® inductee Al Green releases his new 4-song EP ‘To Love Somebody’ via Fat Possum Records. - Dropkick Murphys have announced they’ll release a 12” vinyl split LP with recent tourmates Haywire titled New England Forever. The Boston-based bands--who got to know each other while touring Europe together last fall--each recorded three original songs as well as a cover version of one of each other’s songs for the 8-song LP. Haywire recorded Dropkick Murphys’ “The Boys Are Back” and Dropkick Murphys recorded Haywire’s “Always By My Side.” New England Forever will be available exclusively at shows during Dropkick Murphys’ February 9 – March 17 For The People…In The Pit St. Patrick’s Day Tour with The Aggrolites and Haywire supporting on most dates. The U.S. trek culminates March 13, 14, 15 and 17 in Boston with Dropkick Murphys’ annual run of hometown dates during St. Patrick’s Day week, which brings together DKM fans from around the globe.

- Today, multi-platinum singer/songwriter Stephen Sanchez kicks off 2026 with new single “Sweet Love,” accompanied by a heartfelt video directed by Jason Lester (Hozier, Laufey, Conan Gray) co-starring his grandparents. - Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy Award-winning guitarist Peter Frampton is celebrating the 50^th anniversary of his iconic album Frampton Comes Alive! Upon its original release in 1976, Frampton Comes Alive! became a cultural phenomenon and remains one of the top-selling live albums of all time, with nearly 20 million copies sold worldwide. As part of the celebration, Frampton will release a Vinylphyle edition of Frampton Comes Alive! on January 22 via A&M/UMe. One of the greatest rock albums of the 1970s can now be heard on vinyl again, presented as it was originally intended to sound. The limited Vinylphyle double LP pressing is sourced from the original 1975 Doug Sax 1/4" production master, with lacquers cut by Joe Nino-Hernes, and pressed on 180g black vinyl at RTI. The package features a four-panel insert including a new interview with Frampton and Anthony Fantano of The Needle Drop; preorder HERE. 10. Obligatory Comic Book Adaptation Mentions: It is hard to get excited for comic book movies or shows these days because both Marvel and DC seem to be at the start of reboots. Even worse is that Marvel is still dumping shows that seem to fit in with the old plans. So, Wonder Man (January 27) is getting dumped this month to little fanfare. Then we are getting second seasons of Daredevil: Born Again and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man whose first seasons were mediocre at best. But at least there are only two movies, Spider-Man: Brand New Day (July 31) and Avengers: Doomsday (December 17).

Only two DC movies too. First up is apparently drunk Supergirl (June 26) and a, um… Clayface (September 11) movie, who was introduced in a cartoon. Then there will be a Lanterns show because the movie went so well. But hey, Netflix will come in and reboot everything again in 2028, so I am not getting very invested.

9. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (April 10): Sequels can be iffy, especially cash crab horror movies. But the first one is shockingly great. Add Kathryn Newton as Samara Weaving’s little sister and this may be the one gratuitous sequel that actually works.

8. Men’s World Cup (starts June 11): FIFA may be the most corrupt origination in the world (which is saying a lot) and the lead up for the World Cup has been a disaster for the US team, and yet, I am still excited for the games to start.

7. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (January 18, HBO): The final season of Game of Thrones was trash, House of the Dragon has been a bit of a slog, yet no matter how many times they fool me, I will always happily return to Westros.

6. The Odyssey (July 17): Chriopher Nolan has been hit or miss for me lately, but he can do epic. And there is so much to this story, even his usually lengthy runtime should not feel too long.

5. Margo’s Got Money Problems (April 15, Apple TV): Elle Fanning playing an OnlyFans entrepreneur? Sure, I will watch that… whenever I get around to resubscribing to Apple TV which apparently dropped the + because… who know?

4. Project Hail Mary (March 29): I have not read the book, but there is enough hype around this movie that I am just going in blind, not even watching the trailer, and hoping for the best.

3. 2026 Winter Olympics (opening ceremonies February 6): The Olympics are coming to Milan. Unfortunately, that means a lot of evens will happen while I am asleep, but I am still excited for the return of curling to television and the return of NHL players to the hockey tournament.

2. New Olivia Rodrigo Album (TBA): Olivia recently “renewed” her driver’s license on the fourth anniversary of her first single which hints at new music. She manages to avoid the dreaded sophomore slump, so here is hoping to continues her streak to three great albums.

PONIES (January 15, Peacock): They had me at Emilia Clarke teaming up with Haley Lu Richardson, but making them PONIES (People of No Interest’es) and inept spies during Cold War shoots this show to the top of my most anticipated list. This may just be Spies Like Us but Female. But Spies Like Us but Female sound awesome.
