Thanks to the team at The Car Connection, Honda shoppers can ride off of the automobile lot in confidence, knowing that their fresh new whip is certainly up to par for whatever the vast road that lies ahead may have to offer, regardless of the lack of everyone’s like for the interior along with the windshield look and overall vehicle appearance.

With an expert analysis of the 2008 Honda Civic Sedan, The Car Connection reveals the gas-powered, 140-horsepower Honda Civic with the 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine to be available as either a (standard) gas-powered model, a gas-electric Hybrid edition model or a natural-gas-powered GX model. Furthermore, it is worthy to note that the GX edition, utilizing natural gas for power, was explained to receive the gasoline equivalent of 24 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway (and, I can’t neglect to mention that natural gas costs 1/3 less than normal gas).

In addition, The Car Connection discusses reviews of the ‘08 Honda Civic Sedan received by car specialists like Kelley Blue Book, Cars.com and Autoblog, explaining that not everyone was, for lack of better words, on the same page with opinions on this model. Some common areas for lack of a consensus include the large windshield, the mini-van look/feel of the front bumper and the interior dashboard. Sure, not everyone has to like it and, quite frankly, it seems as though not everyone does like it but, you are free to make your own judgment. What’s it going to be?

Despite the recent name change and/or JPMorgan Chase buyout of Washington Mutual Bank, you may still be feeling the “wooo-hooo” love with the (free) online savings account at WaMu. Currently collecting interest with an APY of 3.00%, you won’t be getting rich quick but you also won’t be pulling you hair out, watching your precious investments drop like that of a current IRA (and/or stock market) value

According to the (reassuring) notice at chase.com, all bank deposits are totally safe and business is carrying on as usual with WaMu steady representing with the same service as well as their name/logo across your statements, checks, deposit slips, ATM’s and bank branches. That is, of course, until JPMorgan Chase slowly weans their respectable name and logo into the mix officially.

To Note: GMAC Bank presently has the highest APY on a (free) savings account of 3.60% with a minimum balance of $500 along with a limited number (6) of monthly transactions. See for yourself!

Don’t get it twisted, I’m not talking apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur or even baggy sweat pants and the Reebok’s with the straps, I’m talking saving safely with a high interest bearing certificate of deposit (well whatever is considered high these days in regards to highest APY on CD’s anyways). As of October 17, 2008, safely weighing in at GMAC Bank it’s a 4.00% APY on their 6-month CD with a minimum opening balance of $500. Lagging closely behind with a 3.90% APY on their 7-month CD’s, it’s CountryWide Bank, who you may recall from on of my previous highest APY journals. That’s the word on certificate of deposit savings, how you measuring up in these hard economic times?

Today, October 10, 2008 marks the last day to receive free shipping (as well as quick, pain-free returns) on orders over $60 from your online Halloween costume store, halloweenadventure.com. That’s right, in between browsing the latest election ‘08 and economic crisis coverage across the Internet, you can shop online for your Halloween outfit and easily search through over 5000 new products ranging from kids costumes, adult costumes, pet costumes and even discounted costumes! And, even if you’re not worried about beating the packed crowds and bypassing the long lines (more often than not, filled with whiny children -no offense kids - begging mom and pop for something they’ll probably never get), Halloween Adventure has over 85 stores in 7 states so, feel free to try and find one of their physical addresses to visit.

I don’t know about you but, I’m still undecided as to what I am actually going to dress up as this year. I’ve got a few ideas but nothing officially set, as of yet. Regardless, this October 31st, let’s try and come out in style with a big bad, fancy costume from Halloween Adventure and impress all the neighborhood folks while snagging all the treats that our sweet tooth(s) can handle… Boo!
