Just like with Palin, the Repubs have picked their best looking spokesperson, and have him out there trotting out the party line. I will hand it to them, they do know how to get the soccer moms' attention--not to mention gay men. What they have not done, though is make Social Security "permanently sustainable" as he has promised.

This is a dumbed-down version of the same b.s. they've been pumping out there since Obama was elected. Ryan is just a better looking version of the same sitcom that doesn't really take people into account, it takes big health care and big business into account as the primary beneficiaries of the plan.

They promise all kinds of things, but don't mention that they've said "no" to every opportunity to work with Democrats on a real plan. Its time they stop the communications efforts, and actually step to the table to work on the problem. Flashy websites are one thing, real legislation is another.

(AP) — The Democratic nominee for Illinois' lieutenant governor dropped out of the race Sunday night, less than a week after winning the nomination, amid a political uproar about his past.
