Hallo Allemaal,

Het is echt al een hele tijd geleden dat ik jullie wat nieuws heb laten zien.

Dat wil niet zeggen dat ik stil heb gezeten...alhoewel ik het wel even een tijdje rustig aan heb gedaan!

Maar vandaag kan ik jullie eindelijk weer een van mijn nieuwste projectjes laten zien!

Ik had bij Camilla een boek/kaart gezien die ze gemaakt had waar ik helemaal weg van ben.

Buiten dat Camilla enorm getalenteerd is en ik haar stijl enorm mooi vind...

vond ik het idee van een boekje waar je een kadootje in kunt doen enorm leuk!

Deze zouden heel leuk te vullen zijn met een rompertje en/of sokjes voor een baby kado.

Bijpassend heb ik ook een tube gedecoreerd in de zelfde stijl.

Ik ben enorm benieuwd wat jullie er van vinden.

It's been a while since I've shown you guys something new I made.

That does not mean I've been doing nothing... although I did take things slow for a while!

But Today I can finally show you one of my newest projects I've been busy with!

I had seen these book/cards at Camilla's and I really loved them.

Apart from Camilla being such a talented lady I also love the style she has...

and I loved the idea of a book that could hold a little present in it!

These could be filled with a baby onesie and/or socks as a baby gift.

I made this matching tube I decorated in the same style as the book.

Het is erg rustig geweest hier de laatste twee weken.

Dit komt omdat mijn mannetje en ik heel druk bezig zijn in huis met verbouwen.

Gelukkig komt alles nu een beetje op zijn plaats hier thuis en kan ik weer wat knutselen.

Ik moet wel weer een beetje mijn mojo terug vinden want die is erg ver te zoeken...ha ha ha...

Hallo Allemaal,

Het is weer even wat daagjes geleden dat ik wat gepost heb, maar ik heb niet stil gezeten hoor!

Helaas kan ik nog niet alles laten zien waar ik mee bezig ben i.v.m. kerst en zo! ;)

Faux Vintage Pocketwatch Steampunk Jewelry.

Hallo Allemaal,

Vandaag weer eens iets geheel anders dan een kaartje, ik heb weer eens steampunk jewelry gemaakt.

Deze keer heb ik een zakhorloge gebruikt als basis voor deze steampunk hanger.

Ik heb een bulk met faux vintage zakhorloges op de kop kunnen tikken voor een leuk prijsje.

En de kringloop en rommelmarkten af gestruind voor oude horloges en klokken.

Ik vind het heerlijk om te rommelen tussen al die oude spulletjes.

Als ik dan thuis kom helpt mijn mannetje me om de klokken uit elkaar te slopen voor de onderdelen.

Zo hou je prachtige radertjes over die het enorm leuk doen in dit soort sieraden.

Ik ben natuurlijk nog maar een beginner, maar ik vind dit zooooo leuk om te doen!

Today something differend from a card. I've made a steampunk jewelry piece again.

This time I used a pocketwatch as base for the steampunk pendant.

I've bought a lot of faux vintage pocketwatches for a nice price online.

And I've been to several recycle shops and yard sales for old watches and clocks.

I love digging through old junk to find treasure.

And when I come home hubby helps disassemble the clocks for all the tiny parts.

This way you get some lovely cogs and gears that work so well with these jewelry pieces.

I'm still a beginner at this, but I love doing this sooooo much!

Hallo Allemaal,

Nadat ik laatst de twee schaduw doosjes van mijn kids had gemaakt,

vond mijn schone mams die zo leuk dat ze me vroeg er een te maken voor haar beste vriendin!

Mijn schone mams werkt namelijk al 33 jaar samen met haar bij de post en gaat volgende week met pensioen.

Ter gelegenheid daarvan wilde ze haar vriendin verassen met een post thema schaduw doos.

Toen we vorige week samen op de Kreadoe waren hebben we wat mooie spullen gekocht in dit thema.

Zo kochten we daar de bolderwagen miniatuur en de zakjes en daar heb ik zelf een post stempel op gedaan.

De kleine flesjes heb ik met een briefje en glitters gevult.

Op de foto zie je rechts mijn schone mams en daarnaast Guusta (haar beste vriendin).

After I made the two shadow boxes of my kids,

my mum in law liked them so much she asked me to make one for her best friend!

My mum in law and her friend are both working at the mail for 33 years and MIL is retiring next week.

because of this occation she wanted to surprise her friend with a postage themed shadow box.

When we were at the Kreadoe fair last week we shopped for some gorgeous postage themed stuff.

We bought the little wagon there and the burlap minibags and I added the postage stamp myself.

The little bottles are filled with a tiny note and some glitter.

On the photo you see my mum in law at the right side and Guusta (her best friend) next to her.

Hallo Allemaal,

Zaterdag hadden we een etentje ter gelegenheid van mijn schone mams die met pensioen gaat.

En daarom wilde ik voor haar iets heel erg speciaals maken!

Nu heb ik laatst een hele doos met oude foto albums van haar mee genomen en daar zat haar trouw album in.

Ik heb toen alle foto's uit dit album ingescanned zodat deze ook digitaal bewaard blijven.

Toen kwam ik op het idee om een miniboekje te maken met een pocket waarin ze de CD met foto's kan bewaren.

En daarbij heb ik ook een doos versierd in de zelfde kleuren zodat ze het miniboekje mooi kan bewaren.

Saturday we had a lovely dinner because my mum in law is finally retiring.

And for this occation I wanted to make her something very special!

I had taken a big box of old photo albums from her with me a few weeks ago and her wedding album was in it.

So I scanned all her wedding photo's so these can be saved digitally also.

That's when I got the idea to make a minibook with a pocket to hold the CD with photo's in.

And with that I also decorated a box to keep her minibook save in.

Ik vindt zelf dat het kaartje erg leuk geworden is, maar ik ben heel benieuwd wat jullie vinden.

Je kunt nooit te veel bloemen hebben zei Nicole... dus ik heb me er aan gewaagd! hihihi...

Hallo Allemaal,

Zoals ik al vertelde ben ik gisteren met mijn schone mams naar de Kreadoe in Utrecht geweest.

We hebben een super gezellige dag gehad en kwamen voldaan en met enorm veel heerlijke spullies thuis.

Natuurlijk zijn we ook even bij mijn lieve vriendinnetje Nicole langs geweest.

Wat een geweldige stand heeft Letraset voor haar neer gezet.

En wat ontzettend gaaf om mijn ontwerp op haar stand en in het papier terug te zien!

Ik kon het niet laten Nicole nog even te filmen zodat jullie een impressie kunnen krijgen

van hoe het haar de afgelopen dagen daar is vergaan!

As I told you guys I went to the Kreadoe in Utrecht yesterday with my mum in law.

We had such a fun time and arrived home satisfied and with a bunch of yummy goodies.

Of course we also visited my dear girlfriend Nicole.

What an amazing stand Letraset made for her.

And how cool to see my own designs in her stand and on the papers!

I couldn't resist filming Nicole to give you guys a bit of an impression

on how she spend the last couple of days!

Al geruime tijd geleden toen ik de 500 volgers passeerde heb ik beloofd een candy te doen!

Als ik thuis zit te knutselen heb ik vaak skype aan staan.

En meestal zit ik dan met mijn vriendinnetje Nicole the kletsen terwijl we allebei lekker aan het freubelen zijn.

Zo delen we verhalen, tips en heeeeel veel lol met elkaar, en liggen soms tot tranen aan toe in een deuk!

En omdat ik mijn favoriete knutselmuts wil bedanken voor alles wat ze voor en met mij doet...

Heb ik dit lijstje gemaakt met een 3D magnolia indiaantje er in.

Dus lieffie... als je dit leest... deze komt zo snel mogelijk jouw kant op! ;) SMAKK!!!

Nautical Style Shadow Boxes.

Hallo Allemaal,

Ik ben al geruime tijd bezig geweest met dit project, maar ik ben zo blij met het resultaat!

Op vakantie in Torremolinos hebben mijn dochter in ik het strand afgezocht naar de mooiste steentjes.

En zijn we met het hele gezin een avond naar het strand gegaan voor een foto shoot.

Met die foto's en de steentjes heb ik deze schaduw doosjes gemaakt.

De doosjes heb ik van de beste vriendin van mijn mams gehad en deze waren gewoon van hout.

Ik heb ze geschilderd met acrylverf en daarna geschuurd om het een verweerde look te geven.

Daarna heb ik kleine layouts (13x18cm) gemaakt met de foto's van mijn kleintjes.

En heb ik op de bodem van beide doosjes een soort stilleven gemaakt met schelpjes en steentjes.

Op Etsy heb ik kleine glazen flesjes besteld en deze met zand en met een briefje gevult.

Zo geeft het de schaduw doosjes een echt strand gevoel.

Ik hoop dat jullie ze net zo leuk vinden als ik?!

Hello Everybody,

I've been busy with this project for some time now, and I'm so happy with the end result!

On our vacation in Torremolinos my daughter and I searched for beautiful stones on the beach.

And one evening the whole family came to the beach for a photoshoot.

With these photo's and the stones I've made these shadow boxes.

I got these boxes from my moms best friend and they were just plain wood boxes.

I've painted them with acrylic paint and sanded them down to give them a weathered look.

After that I made little layouts (13x18cm) with the photo's of my two little ones.

And added a still life with shells and stones on the bottom of both boxes.

On Etsy I've bought some tiny glass bottles and filled these with sand and a little note.

This gives the shadow boxes a real beachy feeling.

I hope you will like these as much as I do?!
