Penny Purging.....

So, like everyone else I have been snapping up Michael's penny clearance items. But I am having a little problem deciding what to do with my extras. I purchased some pretty pricey(well before they were clearanced) items and I know that I could make a killing with them on Ebay but I kind of feel like that is taking advantage of people. I would do the items auction style instead of a set price,that way letting buyers pay the amount they think is fair for the items. What do you guys think?

Sooooooooooo excited.....Just thought I'd share my excitement with you guys. Oh and not let me forget to say Happy Anniversary to my hubby Joey, we spent the day shopping the local craft stores,gotta love him :O)

Irony is while rearranging the craftroom some this morning...As I moved the sewing machine to another area in the room...the strap on my dress broke(no I wasn't rearranging in a ballgown, it was a sundress)..though that seems like it could be a sport...housework in a ballgown.......Wait what was I talking about, oh yeah actually seeing progress in the craftroom, I found a website(that's free) that you can rearrange your furniture in your room..just put in your specs(room size,furniture sizes,etc)....Just helps to have a plan..Maybe MAYBE I'll get it finished this weekend...MAYBE :O)

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. What with being ill so much it seems I'm either cleaning something or sleeping...not doing the things I want to do (when I do feel good) because I feel like I need to be cleaning or organizing or something "productive"....well that has been going on for about 4ish years now, and I'M TIRED.....So my New Years resolution this year will be to simplify my home and life therefore giving me more time and space to do the things I want to do....I'm going to need lots of encouragement...you see I am a.....PackRat of sorts...I have a hard time just throwing things away I most go through everything I fear getting rid of something I really need...I think it's from moving so many times in my life...Heck this home(the one I share with Hubby Joseph) is the longest length of time I've ever lived somewhere(6 1/3 years).....I've lived out of boxes, never bothering to unpack everything...this is a really BIG habit to break. And I love a Flea Market/Thrift Store/ Yard Sale, I come by this naturally...My relationship with my father (he was a verbal/physical abuser) was a rough/tough one (to put it mildly) but when we when flea marketed/yard sold etc he was respectful and nice..and sometime even fun...This is the reason(I am sure) that I really don't see me giving it up completely...But I'm going to have to be much "stricter" with myself...You know two things out for each one thing you bring in........Don't get me wrong when I say I am a PackRat I'm not saying that they are going to be film an episode of hoarders at my home...it is a crowded lived in home not DIRTY/FILTHY...there IS a difference...it's not like I keep old used hankies/fingernail clipping/newspapers up to the ceiling/ 20 cats(heck I don't have one cat...Hubby is allergic) etc.......BUT we do have an awful lot of stuff in our home.....And besides being a Packrat...I am also a bit of a everything in it's place kinda gal...How do those two coexist you ask...ummm they don't and the not knowing where things are is driving me ape crap crazy............So to recap, New Year's resolution simplify my home so I can enjoy my art and reading...or heck taking a good nap without feeling guilty about it...and asking you guys to help me by encouraging....Not just in January/ February all year long, I am realistic I know it will take me awhile to get it back the way I want it (the migraine force me to the dark room to often to think this will be a quick thing I can fix)....after all this isn't a tv show where a dozen or so people and a professional organizer are coming to help...nope just little ole me and maybe I can get an OCD friend or two to help occasionally..that would be great...and maybe just maybe the hubby..since after all it's not all mine.....Here's to a better New Year filled with hope and better health, God Willing

What a Year we Have had......

Hubby had to have surgery. Had problems all winter and then the spring with my Bulldog's skin....we finally found a food that he's not allergic to...thank goodness......Then on the 25th of June I had to have emergency surgery.....So, I've been away awhile, sorry :O(

Finally getting to do something crafty. Going to my first ever Scrapping Retreat.... I will be posting pics next week.

Sorry for the long absence. Hubby has been released from Dr. and now has PT twice a week. I sure miss you guys. And I hope to be posting some fun projects soon. Also be on the look out for prizes coming soon!!

To Redo or Not Redo (the gararge)...That is the Question!

So the hubby is wanting to redo our detached two car garage into a craft studio for me.....I don't know how I feel about this...I don't like being totally alone, and it being a detached garage I think I might feel lonely and not be out there enough to make it worth the cost to do. But it would double almost triple the size of my scrap space (and it's not all that small now) and all that space to stretch out in would be lovely......

Any thoughts on this folks?

I will be filming a new video of the on going fight with me and the craft room today. I really do think that little evil monsters are coming in my craft room after I have worked on it and they start throwing things around and laughing and singing taunting songs about me....okay the singing part is probably a bit far fetched BUT they are in there throwing stuff around for sure,lol.

But really you guys, I am hoping this time I can get it straightened.I will post those pictures/video when...if.

Farewell Minnie Moose and Weekend Crafting

We had to say goodbye to one of our Bulldogs this week. For health reasons I just can not keep up with her like she needs. So,I decided to find her a home with young children to play with and walk her and give her a more fulfilled life. Thank goodness my other Bulldog is very laid back. I would just die if I had to find both of them a new home. Parting with her is hard enough.

So, to ease the pain (or try to ignore it) I plan on some kind of crafting this weekend. I haven't decided what kind yet. Any ideas? What is your favorite craft to do to lift your spirits?

I will post pics of whatever it is I create first of next week. And I will be posting who wins the Favorite Paper Line Vote and the winner of the prize then also!

Room redo and youtube watching

Today I am redoing the scrap room.....again. Am I the only one who is never satisfied with the way my craft room is organized? I seem to do it a little bit all the time. And then after a few months I redo it all together. I sure do waste a lot of crafting time doing this. And to make matters worse I get sidetracked because when I am working on the room and I get tired I take a break and watch YouTube videos of other people's scrap rooms...it's a bit addictive,lol.
Back to work....see I got sidetracked again......happy crafting :O)

Things to do....AKA New Year's Resolutions

So, I was thinking. I've had this blog for a couple of months. But as you can see I haven't posted hardly at all (twice to be technical). So, one of my NY Resolutions is going to be to post on here at least once a week. Maybe more if I can remember,lol. I have chronic medical conditions that sometimes keep me in bed for days. Well, this has been going on for now almost four years and frankly I am tired of letting my conditions steal my life away. So I am putting it out there that today is the last day that I let it steal from me. In the next few days I am planning my first few "REAL" post. I plan on posting my latest scrap/card projects and would love to get organized enough to do giveaways occasionally. Please let me know what types of projects you are interested in seeing. Thanks bunches and see you again soon.

Giving myself more work...

My loving hubby bought me a new sewing machine with all the bells and whistles. This sucker does everything. Now the problem is where to put the thing?!?!?!?!? I had the craft room almost in order, this throws a monkey wrench into the whole plan.
