Hello, Dear Customers & Friends,

A New Year will always bring change and my biggest change is that the Scrapbook Moments & More Studio is closing. I will likely keep my biz on the side, so I'll continue to handle any special order requests from you – just send me a note with what you’d like.

It’s been over 6 years that I’ve served all of you - happily - but I have decided to move in a different direction. I have been thinking about it for a couple months and decided that the best time to make the change would be in Jan/Feb when it’s quiet. I’d rather leave on a high note, as from the start, I knew I wouldn’t do this forever; it seems that around every 5 years, I need a new challenge!

I’m deciding in what capacity SM&M will remain, so the transition will soon be described in another e-letter this month.

Inventory in the Studio is set to clear out at 50% off; I urge you to pop in soon for the best selection.

I am so happy that I ventured into this realm and was able to get to know many of you. I have no regrets at all and am grateful of your support; many of you from the very start!

Scrapfest Oshawa - don't miss it!!

It's on again after a successful inaugural launch in 2010! Mark your calendars for Fri Oct. 14th and Sat Oct. 15th for Scrapfest Oshawa 2011! Registration is now open on the site: www.scrapfest.ca
It will be held at the same location as last year, the Campus Wellness and Recreation Centre,
Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario. See you there! jm

Demo Days are ba-aaaack!!!

I used to have Demo Days a few years back, but they fell by the wayside as business just became too busy for me to prep, etc. However, many of you have been asking if I`ll bring it back, you liked it so much! So....back by popular demand are the ever-fun, ever-changing Demo Days! Each week there will be a demo or make & take, etc so that your visit to the Studio will be even more inspiring! It will be a varied mix of techniques, ideas, new twists and more! Another good reason to pop in - hope to see you soon! jm

Here`s hoping the weather`s good! We have a new backyard to enjoy; new deck, new loungy,comfy furniture, a new patio table & chairs coming next week along with a new BBQ! Took us long enough; summer`s nearly over haha! Oh well, sometimes this stuff takes longer than expected. We`ll cram lots in for the last part of summer AND early fall, which is always great (less bugs!). Cottage time has been at a minimum this year; not a big deal but it`s maybe in the cards for a day or two this long weekend. I`ll be posting the August schedule soon and it will be pretty light (days open AND classes) as it`s summer and my honey and I do need some time off together. So, if you see a class you like, be sure to sign up fast. Hope all of you enjoy a great holiday weekend, whatever you do - see you in August! jm

We’re in the last stretch before the Canada Day long weekend – Happy Canada Day to you!

Having said that, the Studio will be closed this Friday, July 1^st and the following week. We will re-open on Tuesday July 12^th!

Your Clear Stamps - trouble with ink??

The solution is Ranger Archival Ink! I've carried it for several years now and it's the only one that I'm satisfied with and will always carry as regular stock. Most die based inks will repel off of the material that clear stamps are made of. This is because the clear stamps are more slick and less porous than rubber stamps. Well, if you're having this issue with your current inks, drop in or order some of the Archival Ink - no more speckly, spotty-looking images, just solid, even coverage! AND Wednesday, I received (a month early) the new colours of Archival Ink I'd been bugging Ranger to develop for years! I've now got these great bright and light colours, so you can enjoy a complete repertoire of colours for your clear stamps! You can feel confident that your images will come out looking great and you know you can trust it; after all, it's 'Jan-Endorsed' ;-) jm

So, besides all the latest Spellbinders dies, Sheena Douglass stamps and the Hero Arts clear stamp sets, we have lots more arriving tomorrow (Thu May 5th). A bunch of the new Tim Holtz rubber stamps such as Pharmacy, Confection Ad, Compass, Airliner, World Map & More! Also arriving are the new Texture Fades AND Trades by good ol' Timmy.

Going through all my stock today; a few things were missed on the website from before, but now ALL should be uploaded! Spent about 5 hours updating, so the NEW ITEMS link is done and there are many more items that have been moved to the Clearance link - grab up some HOT new items and some COOL deals! Also, I've ordered lots of the FREE Kaisercraft Workshop mags - great for some quick inspiration and since I have a lot of Kaisercraft products, it just makes sense! With all the fabulous new products that have been arriving, it's been like Christmas morning every time a shipment arrives! Pictures on-line from my supplier's website, just don't cut it. When the actually arrive and I look in the box, it's like winning the lottery. I've had a hard time trying to decide which of these new products are my new favourites, but if you want to see, just look on the left side of the blog! jm
