I'm back / Wedding Invitation

Hello my dear Followers,
I told you that I wont have time to craft alot right know. Im still working on my Bachelor Thesis and have to plan everything for my move to the US and my Wedding in September.
But I really wanted to craft my Wedding Invitations. So here they are.
I hope I have a chance to craft more once I move to Orange County in August. An I will keep posting some of the Crafty things I'm doing for my Wedding.

Long Time no See

I know I keep saying that im going to post more but I actually have to push it back some more. My next 11 months are going to be busy. My Fiance proposed to me and we are planning a wedding for next year. Thats the good busy part.
Im also finishing up school in the next 11 Months...meaning--> lots and lots of papers, work and learning to do.
And I moving from Germany to California....

So I have to start selling or shipping my craft Items.....meaning its not leaving me alot of stuff or time to craft anything besides the Wedding things. But I try to be better once im there. Sorry for all the delays....

D as in Dimensionals

Welcome back on my blog for another D word. Todays word is Dimensionals. Dimensionals are small Foam pieces with glue on both sides. They are used for popping up Images, Pictures, Embellishments or other things. I made a quick Bday card using dimensionals for the Cupcake.

Willkommen zurück auf meinem Blog für ein neues D Wort in unserem Bastel ABC. Das Wort des Tages ist Dimensionals (3D Klebepunkte). Diese sind aus Moosgummi ähnlichem Material und kleben beidseitig. Man nutzt diese Klebepunkte um Bilder, Fotos oder Verziehrungen einen 3D Effekt zu geben. Hier habe ich eine schnelle Geburstagskarte zu machen. Die Klebepunkte habe ich für den Muffin verwendet.

Welcome back on my blog for another D word. Todays word is Dies. Dies are little metal cutting tools to use with die cutting system like Sizzix, Cuttlebug, Cricut or more. They can look totally different but they all work perfect with paper. It just depends on which one you prefer.

Welcome back on my blog for first D word. Todays word is Die Cuts. Die Cuts are cut out pieces of material like paper, felt, grungeboard or chipboard. You can either buy die cuts or you cut them yourself with a die cutting system like Sizzix, Cuttlebug, Cricut or more.

My new Family Organisation Binders

Hello there,
today I would like to share a project I did the other day.
My bf asked me to design a Binder for our House Ideas and I decided to make a few more ;)
I just want all of our stuff to be where it is supposed to be. And you all know how men are^^ they would never do it ;)

So those 2 are now officaly my Binder/ Homeorganization Pads

So here are the Binder Covers....I cant use German Binders coz they are very different then US once so I only have the Covers and I will do the real Organizing in march ;)

Hi there,
cant believe its nearly the 1/15. That means the first month of the new year is nearly over ;)
I just got a really cool gift that I so didnt expect to get. I signedup for a free home made gift round in 2011 and got my gift in the mail last week.

So got a home made Head Scarf ;) a little sping flower suprise and grape desert (not on the pic)

C as in Copics

Welcome back on my blog for the C word Copics. Copic is the brand name for a marker from Japan. Currently they are in 346 available and you can refill them. They have 2 tips (brush tip (used for coloring) and a chisel styl tip) and blend together perfectly. They are permenant, non toxic and alcohol based so you can use them on a lot of clear surfaces.

Willkommen zurück auf meinem Blog zum C Wort Copics. Copic ist der Marken Name für Hochwertige Filzstifte aus Japan. Momentan gibt es 346 Farben und sie sind wiederauffüllbar. Sie besitzen 2 Spitzen einen Pinselspitze und eine Keilspitze und blenden sehr gut ineinandern über. Sie sind permanten, nicht säure haltig und haben Alkohol basierende Tinte, welches Copics auf vielen Glatten Flächen anwendbar macht.

Hier seht ihr wie man einen Gestempeltes Bild coloriert. Es ist nicht perfekt, da ich nur die Farben aus dem ersten Bild habe.

Welcome back on my blog for the C word coloring.
I'm not really an expert on how to color in your stamped images, because I'm only really comfortable with chalks ;) But I will tell you what other ways there are and maybe even post some Links to other pages.

Ich bin nicht wirklich ein Colorationsexperte ;) weil ich mir nur mit Kreide wirklich wohl fühle. Aber ich werde euch auf jedenfall weitere Möglichkeiten Sagen und evt. auch Verlinkungen zu hilfreichen Beiträgen posten.

Some ways to color in your stamped images are Twinkelings, Chalk, Copics or other Markers, pencils and water colore pencils. There might be more that I just dont have in mind right now^^.

Einige Wege um Stempelbilder einzucolorieren sind durch Twinkelings, Kreide, Copics oder andere Marker, Buntstife und Aquarell Stifte. Vll. habe ich aber auch welche vergessen^^

Happy New years Eve

Hi everybody,
I have only 5h left of the old year. Since I have a bad cold and my boyfriend 3000 miles away I decided to do new years eve really quiet. My Parents are out of town till tomorrow.

My night will be a hot Bathtub ;) (hopefully good for my cold), some corn on the cob (really expensive in Germany) and some catching up with my Au Pair Scrapbook (Im still at November 2009^^). My Bf told me he will wake up at 10pm my time and spend the 2 hours till the new year with me on skype.

Its not a big thing but i think thats great for tonight.

Its not like I dont have friends, in case you might think that now.
One of them is in Egypt, two celebrate new years eve with family about 1-2h away from here and my bestie is doing a quiet night at a friends house. Since my coughing got really bad from working and not resting at all I think its better to stay home.

I hope you have a wonderful New years Eve and I will post some more stuff next year.

PS: Since I was working so hard.....I orderd a bunch of craft things for my self ;) yeah^^ Love treating my with gift sometimes^^

Crafting ABC - Letter C 05

C as in Chipboard

Welcome back on my blog for the C word Chipboard.
There are alot of different chipboard projects to craft. But first what is chipboard. Chipboard is a typ of paperboard. It's thinker and more sturdy then cardstock. You can either buy thicker one or use chipboard from all kind of packaging from cereal or other stuff.

Willkommen zurück auf meinem Blog zum C Wort Pappe. Es gibt viele verschiedene Projekte für welche Pappe sehr hilfreich ist. Aber erst ein mal zu der Frage was ist Pappe? Ok ist euch sicher klar . Pappe ist dickere und stabilere als Tonkarton. Man kann es kaufen (meist 2-3mm) oder ihr nutzt Pappe von Verpackungen wie Cornflakes oder ähnlichem.

For todays word Chipboard I decided to make a chipboard box for either paper or pens.So you start with cutting out all the chipboard pieces.

Für unser heutiges Wort habe ich mich entschieden eine Box auf Graupappe zu gestalten. Diese kann man entweder für Stifte oder Papier verwenden. Man beginnt mit dem zurechtschneiden der Pappstücke.

After you cut out all the pieces you need to wrap them in paper so that your box doesnt look grey. I only had alot of white paper. But i stamp some golden flowers on there and made my own pattern paper with it.

Nachdem ihr alle Stücken zurecht geschnitten habt, beklebt ihr sie mit Papier, da mit die Box am ende nicht Grau ist. Ich hatte nur viel Weißes Papier da und habe dies dann mit Golden Blumen bestempelt und somit mein eingenes Hintergrundpapier gestaltet.

Now you need wood glue or book binding glue. Put the glue on the edges and let them dry.

Jetzt benötigt ihr Holzleim oder Buchbindeleim. Leim an die Kanten anbringen und zusammendrücken und trocknen lassen.

Glue all pieces together and let them dry over night and this is the box came up with.

Klebt alle Teile zusammen und lasst sie über Nacht trocknen. Hier nun die fertige Box.

C as in Charms

Welcome back on my blog for the C word Charms. Charms are little metal embellishments with a loop that you can put in on ribbon or twine. I never worked with it before but I actully think it looks really cool. So I made a card for you.

Willkommen zurück auf meinem Blog zum C Wort Charms. Charms sind kleine Metall Embelishments mit einer Metallschlaufe um es an Schleifenbändern oder ähnlichem zu befestigen. Ich habe noch nie zuvor mit Charms gearbeitet aber muss ehrlich sagen, das ich es sehr süß finde. Hier nun also ein Karte bei der ich einen Charm verwendet habe.

You can find Charms plain metal or with different colores painted.
Charms sind entweder nur Metallfarben oder bemalt.

C as in Chalk

Welcome back on my blog for the C word Chalk. I mostly use chalk for coloring in my stamped images. So here I have a photo tutorial for you.

Willkommen zurück auf meinem Blog zum C Wort Kreide. Ich nutze Kreide hauptsächlich zum Colorieren meiner Stempelmotive. Darum folgt hier ein Foto Tutorial.


Here you see the chalk that I use. / Hier ein Bild von der Kreide, welche ich benutze

This is the Image I want to color. / Dies Ist das Bild, welches Coloriert werden soll.

I use cotton Swabs for my Chalk/ Ich trage die Kreide mit Wattestäbchen auf

For smaller areas a toothpic is perfect. / Für kleiner Ecken eignet sich ein Zahnstocher am besten.

Use some Hairspray to make the chalk permanently stay on the paper / Nutzen Sie Haarlack um die Kreide zu fixieren.

C as in Cardstock

Welcome back on my blog for the C word Cardstock. Cardstock is paper that has more thickness to it then copypaper. Its perfect for the base of a Card or little boxes.

Willkommen zurück auf meinem Blog zum C Wort Tonkarton. Cardstock / Tonkarton ist dickeres Papier. Dies eigenet sich Perfekt für Karten und Boxen.

You can find Cardstock in plain colors or as pattern paper. Most of the paperpacks are Cardstock.
Tonkarton findet man einfarbig oder mit verschiedenen Aufdrucken. Die meisten Scrapbookblöcke sind aus Tonkarton.

Welcome back on my blog for the C word CARD. Well this should be a word nearly every papercrafter knows about ;) You can make really Simple Card (which mine mostly are) or you can make cards that have a lot of layers and details.

Willkommen zurück auf meinem Blog zum C Wort KARTEN. Jeder Papierbastler sollte dieses Wort ein Begriff sein. Es gibt den Simplen Kartenstil (welchen ist meist verfolge) oder man erstellt sehr aufwendige Karte mir vielen Layern und Details.

Cards can be any size and shape. Here some example for the Simple Style.
Karten gibt es in allen Größen und Formen. Hier nun einige Beispiele für den Simplen Stil.

Some new Projects

Hello my dear followers,
today I have a few pics of Projects for you that i endet up doing over the last 2 weeks.

So I made Christmas ear-rings out of shrink plastic. The Christmas decoration is a jar that i finished up with deco snow ;)

The Card is a fall-card and the Candle is designed with

wax -ornaments. ;) I also made a little paper purse

(Knöpfe)

Welcome back on my blog for the last B word. Todays word is Buttons. Buttons are Embellishments you can use for giving your projects the final touch. You can use old buttons from your Grandma or you buy alot of colorful new ones.

Willkommen zurück auf meinem Blog zum letzten B Wort. Heute geht es um Knöpfe (Jaja ist nicht mit B aber Buttons ist^^). Knöpfe sind Embellishments um euren Projekten den letzten Schliff zu geben. Hierfür kann man die alten Knöpfe von der Großmutter benutzen oder man kauft sich viele verschiedenfarbige neue Knöpfe.

This is how I store my Buttons. Those are litte Spice jars. I sorted them by color.

So beware ich meine Knöpfe auf. Ich habe sie in kleinen Gewürzstreuern und nach Farben sortiert.

Welcome back for another Crafting ABC post.
I'm finally back and got to play with another post of the Crafting ABC. I'm so glad to be finally able to post again. I had so much going on the last 2 months. But I try my best to get back on track. So todays word is Bonefolder!

Herzlich Willkommen zurück zu einem weiteren Bastel ABC Blogeintrag.
Ich habe endlich wieder ein wenig Zeit und kann einen Neuen Bastel ABC Post machen. Bin ich so froh endlich wieder Posten zu können. Es war einfach so viel los die letzten 2 Monaten. Aber ich gebe mir Mühen wieder regelmäßig Posten zu können. Der heutige Post ist über den Bonefolder

A Bonefolder is made out of plastic or (i think) wood. I have one from Martha Stewart and I love this one soooooo much. You use the Bonefolder for good creased edges. Its perfect. You can also use it for Scoring or Rubb-Ons.

Einen Bonefolder ist aus Plastik oder Holz. Mein Bonefolder ist von Martha Stewart und ich LIEBE meinen Bonefolder. Genutzt wird er für gute, traffe Kanten zu falten. Klappt super. Man kann es ebenfalls für Scoring bzw. zum übertragen von Rubb-Ons verwenden.
