And the dining table is full of party goodness. Tutus, magic wands, tissue paper pompoms, crepe pompoms, pinata, lanterns, paper chains, etc.

Super excited to host a party for six lovely little girls. Jovie and her five little school besties. Can’t wait!

I am suppose to be cleaning or editing photos. BUT, my faffing around nature got me distracted and while I could be blogging about photography in my photography blog, I rather talk about camping here!

Camping… I’ve never been. I told hubby, 11 years ago, that I’d love to give it a try but after growing up some, aka getting physically older, my idea of camping have since evolved. The idea of sleeping in this

Just doesn’t seem so appealing anymore.

So, as usual, I did some research and presented the husband with some ideas. He wasn’t so pleased. And I didn’t, still don’t, get why not.

Exhibit #1. Feather Down Farm Stay

First fabulous point at Feather Down: The loo! I can’t, well, I can if it’s an emergency, go toilet in nature. I am convinced that no matter where, the moment a squat down, something is going to bite my ass. Silly, I know. But, I am convinced! Then, what if I need to go in the middle of the night? I am not entirely sure I can figure out which way is downhill. I don’t want pee to get all over me ya know! Worse yet, what if I need to do number two?!?!

Besides the loo, what’s better than to wake up to farm animals right outside your tent? They’re way safer than waking up to wild animals {::SMILES}.

Exhibit #2: Bell Tents

I don’t think he even looked. He saw the first photo and he said no. <*sigh*>

I mean come on, who can’t resist sleeping in one of this:

Exhibit #3: Yurting

He said: We don’t live in the desert or Mongolia. And like above, he pushed this idea aside.

Grrrr!!

Exhibit #4: My friend Tash’s version of camping

A gigantic tent, blow up bed, buntings, chairs, tables, lovely camp ground, toilet somewhere around the corner, fairy lights and a cooker.

I actually haven’t shown the above to hubby but he’s heard first hand how it’s like to camp Tash’s way. That evening was a bit blurry though. So I can’t be sure if he said to go ahead and buy a tent or no. Later tonight I’ll show him this photo and verify. I can already imagine him saying this though: I am not camping in a pink tent!

Exhibit #5: Knight Camping at Leeds Castle

This one is new, just saw it this morning, and quite excited about it! The camp site is at Leeds Castle and it has a knight’s theme. You can check out the website to see the details but how fun would it be to sleep there, right?

I can’t wait to show the hubby this one!

Ok, it’s been an hour and I got to pick Jovie up. I’ll keep you updated on this whole camping deal. It may be a while though. I mean it’s been 11 years already that I’ve pushed this activity aside.

Today I will be thinking about Jovie a lot. Tonight will be our last 3-yr-old hugs, kisses, talks, giggles, laughs and cuddles. Tomorrow, she’ll be a sweet little 4-yrs-old. She can’t wait and today she said (in her oh so sweet voice):

It’s ok, mommy, I have to grow up sometimes. But I’ll always be your baby girl!

Ahhhhh… she’s even speaking like a big girl!

Happy Sunday!! It’s BEAUTIFUL in England today and the perfect day to celebrate an early birthday! It’ll be Jovie’s birthday in a couple of days and due to our super busy schedule, we decided to do something special today. Can you believe she’ll be four on Tuesday?!?!?! Where did the time go?!?! So later today, after some more outside play, hubby’s going to make a cake and we’ll fire up the grill for a family BBQ. YAY!

Last night (I know, last minute, but we just got back from holiday) I made her a sweet little card with all her favorite colors and since she LOVES ice cream (she had an ice cream, two sometimes, every day of our holiday), I had to use WPlus9′s new stamps for the center of her card. PERFECTION! I hope she likes it!!
