Happy Friday!

We've made it to another weekend and boy am I ready! I've got some relaxing to do for sure!

As I said before HERE, this is the pink version of the first loopy felt flower tag I showed you. It's so soft and sweet and could even be used for other occasions besdies Valentine's Day.

I even hand stitched around the edges with embroidery thread to add that extra wow power too! I just love that look!

My love tag sentiment is made using my Nesties and a digi stamp from The Cutting Cafe'. I love that font, don't you! Its from the set called Valentine Big Stuff. Its an oldie, but a goodie!

Here's a view of the pink felt loopy flower. I again cut the sections really small for a more full look. The idea is to use really soft felt so you get all the movement you can when assembling it.

This little pink lovely is for sale in my Etsy shop along with several other fun Valentine Day goodies. I will be working on special orders this weekend for some of my Etsy customers. Etsy people are the best!

Happy Monday!

Here we are starting another new week...where is this year going already! WOW! I'm hoping this week is a lot less hectic than my last two weeks were. How about you? Any fun stuff planned for the week?

Today's card was just so much fun because as you can see its got lots of elements going on. I just kept on adding goodies until I ran out of space! LOL!

I used the patterned paper for the sentiment. I just cut out the phrase forever yours and popped it up over the same phrase on the paper.

I even busted out the white pen and gave it some stitch marks all the way around. I haven't done that in forever! Why? IDK?

Loopy Felt Flower Valentine Tag

Happy Wednesday!

Today's project was a fun one! Have you tried making these little loopy felt flowers yet? They are so fun and easy to make and I think they make an awesome statement on a project!

To make the felt flower, you need felt of your choice, a sewing machine, sharp scissors and hot glue. Cut your felt into strips that measure: 2" x 8", 1 1/2" x 4" and 1" x 3" and then a circle of about 1 1/2".

I cut my felt into smaller sections this time. My very first loopy felt flower had bigger sections, but still cute none the less. Its up to you how you want yours to look.

The smaller the sections, the fuller it looks. I just prefer this look best I think. Just play with it and see how you like it.

I used a little Valentine stamp set I had in my stash for the sentiment. I don't remember where I even got it now...sorry! Such a sweet sentiment.

This little tag is for sale in my Etsy shop along with a pink version which I will probably show you here real soon. I've got one more white loopy felt flower that I made that I've yet to make something with, but I'm sure I will find something soon to use it on.

New Year...Time for Recycling!

Was your weekend wonderful? The sun was shining and the temperatures were warmer here in Texas, so my weekend was wonderful!

For today's card I've done a bit of recycling. You've seen me recycle lots of things like HERE, HERE or HERE, just to highlight a few, but today my card was fun because I added a little bit of a Kleenex box for patterned paper. Can you tell which paper it is? It's the blue floral print. I took the 3 colors of the flower centers and added papers to go with those to complete my card.

I thought it was fun to keep a bit of something that we normally just discard and don't think twice about. I suppose you could say, my Kleenex box forever lives on in this cute little card I created! LOL!

I also made a lace flower that I centered with a vintage button on some pearl dew drops. To make the lace flower I cut out a circle from white card stock and then used hot glue to adhere the lace in a circular motion from the outside edge to the center. The lace flower was then created.

I also added a Kim Hughes stamp to a velum circle tag and a bit of pearl lace along the bottom border and my card was done!
A very simple card to make. Do you ever recycle? Are you like me and when you are shopping, you say, "Oh that would make a pretty paper to use on a card?" LOL! Probably not huh? I really just love to recycle or up-cycle things to incorporate them into my crafts. Waste not Want not is what I always say.

Before you go.....I really MUSTACHE you a question.....do you like my nails? LOL! I couldn't resist that one! I found these little vinyl mustache decals on Groopdealz the other day. Mustache Freebie!

Happy Friday!

Here's the other mustache card I told you about!This time I used a floral mustache I found HERE on Pinterest, it's a freebie! Yay, I love freebies, don't you?

I just printed the mustache out on white card stock and then inked the edges so the white wouldn't be so stark on my cream colored card.

I also added some glittery hearts, because it a Valentine's Day card and they are normally all sprakle-y and fun like that! Heehee! This card is for sale in my Etsy shop if you're interested.

Here's a close up of the 'stache so you can see the pretty floral design. It reminds me of vintage wall paper.

The sentiment I made myself using my Printmaster program, printed it and then cut it out using my heart shaped Nesties.

Lastly, I hand stitched with embroidery floss around the border for a little added fun and to make it more special for the person who might receive it. Like I said above, its in my Etsy shop for sale, but hurry because my Valentine's Day cards have been flying off the shelf!

Jack & Sally...Wrong Time Of Year?

Happy Wednesday!

So, what do you think? Is it the wrong time of year for Jack & Sally? In case you don't know who they are, they are from Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas. My youngest son has a slight crush on the story and these two character's, so much so he has them tattooed on his forearms, Jack on the left and Sally on the right. The reason this Valentine even came about is because for Christmas I made him this same print but a larger size on the old book page and then I framed it. He loved it! This is the first one I printed out and I can't stand to waste, so I created this Valentine with it.

I Googled the image and then re-sized it in my Printmaster program. Of course from the story I just told you I had to enlarge it to fit the page I was working with the second time.

I used my Nestie's to cut out first the Kraft card stock scalloped heart and then the actual print with the regular heart.

I also made a paper rose and added some red glass beads and some tear drop shaped rain dots to add a bit of Eeeeek! lol! It's so Jack & Sally though!

Lastly I added the red wrinkle ribbon for hanging and just this past Sunday I placed it in my Etsy shop for sale and yesterday it sold! My son told me it wouldn't last long cuz there are more Jack & Sally fans out there than you know, but I had no idea he's be so right! Maybe I should make more?

More Mustache Humor

Happy Monday!

I hope your weekend was an awesome one! Mine was, I got lots of crafty stuff done and I even tried a new recipe I found on Pinterest and it was so delicious, you should try it too!

Today's card is more of my mustache humor. I am hooked on mustaches right now. They are every where too! This one is a Valentine and its available in my Etsy shop if you're interested!

I used some K and Co glitter paper for my heart. I cut it out using my heart shaped Nesties then added the 'stache!

My sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe'. The set is called All About Valentine's Day. I just printed it out and then cut it out with my Nesties and then traced around the heart with red marker.

I added a bit of dainty lace trim for a little girly factor, then topped it off with pearl dew drops.

I Love Snow People!

Happy Friday!

I know its way past Christmas now, but I couldn't resist showing you one of the cutest little sets over at The Cutting Cafe'! The set is called Frosty and Penguin in Snow Globes. It comes in black and white so you can color the image or in full color like the one I used here. If you haven't visited Regina over at The Cutting Cafe', please do, she always has such FUN sets and for reasonable prices!

Isn't the image just so sweet? All I did was print it out on white card stock and then cut it out with my circle Nesties and of course I free handed the bottom base part. Easy peasy!

Since I had the pink girly theme going on, I decided to add tiny pink crystals to the snowflakes. FUN!

I also made a little pink bow using some of my pink variegated wrinkle ribbon and a vintage button all tied up with baker's twine. I love wrinkle ribbon!

I sent this card to my very special friend who is my biggest fan and cheerleader, Sherri. You should stop by her blog and check out her awesome work, in my opinion, she's the best when it comes to Copic coloring, but I'm not biased or anything! Heehee!

One More New Year's Card

Happy Monday!

I hope you have been having an awesome holiday and have been able to get lots of rest and relaxation! Did you set yourself a new year's resolution? I haven't yet, but I normally do, so I just have to make myself decide what it is I want to accomplish this year!

Now, on to my card today. I used one of The Cutting Cafe' files to create this little lovely. I don't know why, but black and white always says New Year to me! The set I used is an older set, but so much FUN, it is called Holiday Big Words.

I just printed it out onto Kraft card stock and then used my Nesties to cut it out. I added some rain dots for a little more pizazz.

I took a bit of black velvet ribbon and tied it into a bow shape with some button twine and a vintage button. I love old buttons...always have!

I'm always on the lookout for old buttons anytime I go to an auction or yard sale. I like to try and imagine what piece of clothing they were on and who wore it. It's fun!

Do you send cards out to your friends and family for New Years? If so, this one and a few others are still left in my Etsy shop if you need it. I've also added lots of Valentine cards if you'd like to shop early!

A Freebie from The Cutting Cafe'

Happy Monday!

Did you have a wonderful Christmas? We sure did! We spent Christmas Eve with my sweet Mama and then Christmas Day was spent at home just relaxing and enjoying each other.

Today I'm working with The Cutting Cafe' goodies! Also, you can sign up for a chance to win a free set from The Cutting Cafe'. I'll be giving away an oldie but a goodie, the Gift Card and Money Holder Set.

I recycled on this card. The black and white background paper is the inside of a bill envelope. Isn't it a lovely designer paper? Best of all...it was FREE!

The mustache cut out, I got HERE. It was free too! YAY for free when you are creating! Pinterest is my friend!

I got the saying idea from Pinterest too. THIS little project got my juices flowing! So adorable I must say!

I stamped Merry Christmas on the back flap for a little sweet message before they open the flap and find the good stuff inside! Oh and the little green sprigs of fern are made by using my Martha Stewart punch and then adding some tiny glass beads for berries. Close up in the next picture.

This is another free patterned paper. It's the most popular of my giant collection of bill envelopes. Also, see the ric-rac trim. I made that using a strip of red and a strip of white polka dotted ric-rac and wrapping them together. Uuumm, yeah, Pinterest idea again! Look HERE for my inspiration!

Lastly, just tuck in a few bills and you have an adorable gift that everyone will love! I suppose I should have decorated the back too, but I was in a bit of a last minute time crunch and I did not this time.

Happy Friday!

Today is Christmas Eve Eve and we only have 2 more days till the big 25 arrives! SO, how fitting is this card? I totally stole this idea from HERE. Mine looks more like the original that this lady got her inspiration from! :) When I saw this card I knew I wanted to make it, it's just gorgeous, clean and simple to do!

I love simple cards and the bold red numbers on this card drew me in. I used my Cricut to cut out my numbers and the snowflake.

The stamp is an old Cornish Heritage Farms stamp that I have in my stash. I think its very pretty and went well with my stolen card! LOL!

Once I got all the bits and pieces cut out and laid out, it took me a minute to assemble it. This could very easily be an assembly line card if you wanted to do up bunches in a short time.

Three Little Green Trees In A Row

Happy Wednesday!

So, we made it to hump day of this week! Are you ready for Christmas in 4 days? I can say that YES, I am ready now. Well, let me take that back, I have one more present to wrap and then I'm ready! LOL!

Today's card is very simple to create! I used some of my Martha Stewart stamps to create this one. Oh and only scraps were used in the making of this card!

Just a bit of solid red card stock, designer paper, a few strips of green ribbon and lots of rhinestones.

Of course I'm not the best stamper in the world, its really crooked, but hey, its a one of a kind huh? LOL!

I used larger rhinestone on top of the tree just to distinguish the star from the ornaments. Tiny details.

I had this card in my Etsy shop, but it didn't stay there very long. I do however lots of other fun and affordable cards in there. I have Valentine's cards for sale already! Please check it out!

Rain Rain Go Away

Happy Monday!

We had the most awesome weekend, my youngest son and I went shopping on Friday and then we had Christmas at my Daddy's and Step Mom's house with all the family on Saturday! So FUN!

Today's card is done using a really fun set from The Cutting Cafe'. The set is called Rain Rain Go Away. It's very fitting with all the rain we've been getting here in Texas lately! Boy did we need it though!

Pin It I printed out the rubber boots onto yellow card stock as well as the sentiment. I fussy cut the boots out and then used my heart shaped Nesties for the sentiment. I used some clear rhinestones as rain drops. I love lots of bling!

I really like that font Regina used for the sentiment. It seems to go so well with my card today! I used my Copic markers to color in the flowers and then added more rhinestones to finish them off. Lots of sparkle on this card!

This set comes with lots of different images and sentiments. You could make all kinds of cards with this set!

I think I will add this card to my Etsy shop because Valentine's is right around the corner and this would make a perfect Valentine Day card for sure!

Pin It Before I go, I wanted to show you my Grinch nails that I did on Friday night! Aren't they fun? They are basically like my Santa nails, just different colors and no Grinch face. I wasn't even going to attempt that one! LOL!

Christmas Fun!

Happy Friday!

We made it to another weekend, only thing is...it's getting closer and closer to Christmas! Eeek! Are you ready? I'm "almost" ready! lol!

Today I wanted to show you what I've been doing lately. This is a platter form Ikea that a friend at work bought and asked me to doll up for her. I used my Cricut machine and cut out Merry Christmas and some holly leaves in vinyl and then added some vintage red buttons for the berries!

The platter is a beautiful green with darker green flecks in it, it makes a lovely decoration for any holiday vignette! I will say, that you definitely need a very large and sturdy plate holder for something this large. My smaller ones would not hold this for daily use!

I'm going to keep my eyes open for platter bargains throughout the year, cuz I really want one of these for myself! So beautiful!

If you haven't tried making these yet, you really should! It's quite easy once you get the hang of handling the vinyl and getting the placement just right!

One more fun thing I've done lately is to do up some Santa nails! I saw the idea on Pinterest HERE and knew I wanted to try my own, so out to the store to buy all the stuff and tah-dah! I did my very own Santa nails! Whatcha think? Cute huh? I got lots of compliments too.....heehee!

O Christmas Tree Tag

Happy Wednesday!

I am so glad its mid week! This week is flying by quickly because I've been so busy! That's good...right? Of course that only means Christmas is approaching faster and faster! Oh dear! lol!

This sweet little tag was created almost completely with all scraps. I love when I can clear out my scrap bin some.

I ran the green strips through my snow flake cuttlebug folder to add a little more texture to the already textured card stock.

Then I added some sweet red punched flowers and centered each of them with a clear rhinestone. So sweet!

The background paper acts as my sentiment this time. Don't you love it when that happens? :) I sure do!

Lastly I topped the tree with a vintage button and added some baker's twine for the hanger. This little cutie is for sale in my Etsy shop if you're interested. Please take a look in my shop for other fun Christmas goodies too!

2012 Is Just Around The Corner Now!

I hope your weekend was wonderful for you. I got some shopping done, cleaned and did laundry, baked a little and got some cards made! YAY Me! lol!

Today's card is a fun one to say the least. I even busted out the ole doodling technique on this one! This New Years card was made completely of scraps from my scrap bin!

Pin It The 2012 background and the circle sentiment are from The Cutting Cafe'. The sets are called 2012 Background set and It's New Year Time.

All the words of a New Year celebration right here on a circle. After I printed the sentiment on Kraft card stock, I cut it out with my circle Nesties, then backed it up with a black scalloped circle.

I love when Regina makes the number or word backgrounds and incorporates them into her sets. Its so much like subway art and I luvs me some subway art!

Loopy Felt Flower Ornament

It's finally the weekend and I have big plans of getting all my Christmas shopping done tomorrow! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Today's project is a FUN one and I got the inspiration from Split Coast Stampers. I subcribe to their channel on YouTube and I found it on there. It's called a Loopy Felt Flower.

Pin It To make the felt flower, you need felt of your choice, a sewing machine, scissors and hot glue. I had all these things in my stash, so I immediately had to make one! Cut your felt into strips that measure: 2" x 8", 1 1/2" x 4" and 1" x 3" and then a circle of about 1 1/2".

Fold each strip of felt in half the longest ways and machine stitch close to the edge on all 3 strips. Then using your sharp scissors, snip little sections from one end to the next, being careful not to snip your stitching thread.

Lay down your felt circle with a bit of hot glue on the outside edge and place one end of the longest strip down and start working in a circular manner until you get to the end. Layer up the next two strip using longest first then the short one.

Finally you have a beautiful loopy felt flower to doll up! I added a snowman charm (of course) and some yummy gingham ribbon to mine. Then I put the whole thing on a scalloped circle and added baker's twine for hanging.

I added this little beauty to my Etsy shop, but it flew out of there really fast! Sorry! I'm hoping to get some more done before Christmas...no promises though!

Pretty Poinsettia Tag

Happy Wednesday!

Baby it's COLD outside! Brrrr! We've had snow already this week and some very cold temps to go with it! It's definitely winter here in Texas!
Today I have another fun little Christmas tag for you. I used a sentiment from The Cutting Cafe' set called December Daily 2. It's loaded with FUN! Please do go check it out!

I printed it out on Kraft card stock then cut it out with my Nesties, added a few red rhinestones and then topped off my tag with it.

I made the ruffled center piece by cutting a strip of the poinsettia paper. Then using one of my Martha Stewart punches, I punched along one edge. Then I carefully scored in between each scallop, folded back and forth and then glued it to the scalloped piece of card stock you see behind it. Lastly I centered it with a vintage button.

You can make these without using the punch along one edge, but I think they are really pretty with it and it also gives you an easier guide for your scoring and folding.

These are simple to make, but look a bit elegant when you are finished in the end. I made two different sizes and both are for sale in my Etsy shop right now!

A beautiful tag can dress up a plain bag or wrapped gift and make it so much more special to the receiver. I can imagine using this tag on a plain Kraft paper bag or maybe even a gift wrapped in the brown shipping paper. That would be GORGEOUS under the tree!

Snowflake Gift Pocket

Happy Monday!

How did your weekend go? Mine was cold and rainy, but I'm not complaining at all! We most definitely needed the rain and its about time it got cold!
This week over at The Cutting Cafe', Regina asked the design team to use the new Christmas Pockets file to create our projects. This is mine. It would be perfect for a small gift or money or even a gift card....or 2 or 3 gift cards! Heehee! It's a nice size. It measures 5" x 5".

Pin It I used my Pazzles machine to cut out my pocket. The file cuts out the scallops and the snowflake, then I added the holes on the scallops and then cut out a circle of pink polka dotted paper to use behind the snowflake.

The sentiment I used is from the Snowman Shaped Card Set. I used my Printmaster program to change the color to match my project.

I had these little Christmas charms in my stash and this snowflake had a blue center, so I covered it up with a red rhinestone to match my big red bow.

I added lots of vintage buttons and some dew drops along with some punched snowflakes I made with my Martha Stewart punch. I love that punch a lot...I do!

Happy Snowman Tag

Happy Friday!

Yay we made it to the weekend! Actually my week has flown by because we have been so busy at work. I guess that's a good thing huh? Well, it's getting cooler and we have rain this morning! I love it cuz we sure do need it!

In case you didn't know, I LOVE SNOW PEOPLE! I always have to make something with a snowman on it each holiday season, this year I've already made many!

This cute little guy is from my Cricut Doodlecharms cartridge. I've used this cut lots of times over the time I've owned this cartridge.

I used the Cricut George cartridge for the actual tag and cut it out of Kraft card stock, then I just searched through my scrap bin for the papers I wanted to use.

The fur and pompom on his hat is covered in turquoise Stickles for a little added bling! I also used Kaiser pearls for his eyes and rain dots for his buttons. Oh and I added some orange Stickles to his nose since he had pearl eyes! lol!

I also added a few punched Martha Stewart snowflakes and topped them with Kaiser pearls too. They are punched out of Kraft and then edged with some chestnut roan chalk ink.

Lastly I tied some light blue and white baker's twine on for the hanger. This little sweet guy is for sale in my Etsy shop along with several other tags and cards if you're needing some for the holiday's gift giving!

Today I have a sweet, simple little fun holiday tag featuring one of my very favorite things...a snowman! A snowman made out of vintage buttons no less.

Pin It I used some Kraft card stock, cut out some medium sized scalloped circles using my Nesties and then glued the buttons on to form the snowman.

I added a little red and white baker's twine for his bow and then used an old Stampin Up set to stamp the sweet flakes and sentiment.

Lastly I punched a hole at the top of the scallop and threaded another piece of twine through for the hanger.

I suppose you could use this for an ornament as well as a gift tag on a special package. I think it turned out adorable!

Snowman Goodie Box

Happy Monday!

I hope your long holiday weekend treated you well! Ours was AWESOME! Of course I wouldn't have complained if it were a little longer! Heehee!

Today's project is a fun one! This little guy fits right in at my house right about now. Snow people officially took over residence at our house on Friday! I love snow people and I have quite the collection...they are literally everywhere you look! This sweet little guy is one of Regina's cut files over at The Cutting Cafe'. I had the best time "building" him! The set is called Snowman Treat Box and he comes with 2 different hats as well as all the layers you see here to build him. FUN!

Pin It I used rain dots for his eyes and buttons and some Martha Stewart glitter for the "snow" on his hat.

I haven't found what I want to put inside the little box behind him, but I'm sure I'll need him for something before Christmas gets here!

I used Kraft card stock for the base so it would be nice and sturdy to hold up to whatever I decide to put inside this cute little goodie box.

Doesn't he just make you SMILE? He's so adorable I can't stand it. I may need to creat another one using the Santa hat that comes with the set. Oooooh, maybe a lady snow person this time! Too much fun I tell ya!

Happy Thanksgiving!

My guys and I are spending the day with my sweet Mama today! I can't wait to have some of my Mama's dressing and pumpkin pie! Yummy! I wanted to share a platter I created for Thanksgiving with you before I go on down the road today.
I made it to sell in my Etsy shop, but before I listed it, I took it to work to show it off and one of my co-workers bought it in a flash! lol! I'm searching for more vintage platters to make more for next year though!

I used my Cricut Expressions machine and the Wild Card cartridge along with some brown vinyl to create this vintage beauty.

Just look at the yummy crackled vintage-y yumminess and the beautiful ornate detail this platter has going on! I love this look in vintage goodies! I won the platter in an online auction along with lots of other china pieces you've seen me create other holiday goodies with. There are some in my Etsy shop right now and more coming up soon!

It's really hard to tell, but the leaf even has veins in it which makes it seem even more realistic. Love that!

One thing is for sure, when I do find another platter like this, I think I'll make myself one first and then create more for my Etsy shop! lol! I had it displayed on my old hutch and was sad when I had to permanently remove it.....but I replaced it with a turkey platter my Granny gave me years ago and it looks wonderful sitting there. Darn it, I should have snapped a picture for you to see! Maybe later!

Happy Wednesday!

Have you already seen snow this year where you live yet? Of course here in Texas...we have not! Only if we are lucky will we see snow this year. Although the past couple of years have given us LOTS of snow! LOL!

While making my card below, I was thinking...hmmm...I wonder what's going on inside that little house on the hillside under the black stary sky, besides the fireplace burning. I wonder if they've already decorated for Christmas? Is their tree up yet? Is your tree up yet? Mine will go up this weekend!

Pin It This is one of Peggy's vintage images from Peggy Loves Vintage. She collects vintage greeting cards and then scans them into her computer where she can share them with all of us lucky people.

Just gorgeous! I also like to think of who originally received the card that featured this beautiful snow scene. Along with my vintage image I used some tiny pom-pom trim, some wrinkle ribbon, a vintage button and some button twine to tie it all together. Sweet and simple!

I just love printing my images on textured paper and if you are a frequent visitor of my blog you already know that, but I continue to say it for all the new people that visit me. To me it makes the image seem more vintage as it originally may have looked.

This little beauty is for sale in my Etsy shop along with lots more goodies! Oh, and I just added some holiday vintage china plates with vinyl scenes on them...please check them out!
