Hello there! I have been having some technical issues here, hence, another disappearing act. Aside from the fact that my computer's been acting up, I can't take a good picture of my cards to save my life! I have tried everything. I have come to realize that my old Nikon Coolpix has seen better days! It is definitely time for an upgrade. I plan on getting a Canon Rebel, but it is going to be a few weeks before I can do that. I have spent waaaaay too much money on crafting supplies lately! It's so easy to do, isn't it?!

Today's card features more of my manic misting...LOL. I just can't stop with that stuff. I have an ongoing love affair with Mister Huey! I made the focal point from a chipboard element that came from some new My Minds Eye goodies, a punched circle, and the sentiment is cut out from one of the papers from the Be Amazing paper pad (I inked around it to make it stand out). Love those papers! I added some banners cut from the same papers and ended up with a blue ribbon-ish focal piece. I punched out a little tab, stamped on it, and stitched it on with my sewing machine. I usually don't buy acrylic stamps, but I am loving everything My Minds Eye lately. When I saw their new collection of stamps, I had to have them!

Happy weekend friends! Just poppin' in with a card I made for Kimber McGray's Saturday sketch challenge over at Two Peas. This card is actually for last Saturday's sketch. I have really grown to love sketches. Always a great starting point.

I recently got in an order from 2Peas full of new My Minds Eye goodies. I used papers from this 6 x6 pad and that awesome butterfly comes from this layered sticker pack. I started with a kraft card base and did a little misting with some Mister Huey's Calico White (love that stuff!). Since I seem to have a problem with just doing "a little" misting, I added some Glimmer Mist, too, in Tattered Leather. I can't tell you how many projects I've ruined from getting "spray happy", but this time I really liked the end result. The kraft paper turned into a kind of slate color and just went with the feel of the whole project (well, at least I think so...lol). In fact, when I went to stamp the sentiment in some Walnut Stain Distress Ink, it turned out a grayish color. Pretty cool I thought!

I'm Back!

Well, hello there! Remember me? I've been gone for pretty much a year. I wish I could say I was away traveling the world, but, unfortunately that's not the case! I have been dealing with some health issues with my mother, as well as some personal issues. and needed to put the blog on hold. I wasn't expecting to be gone this long, but life just happened. I do have to say that I am so excited to be back. Although I wasn't posting on the blog, that sure didn't stop me from buying new goodies and following all of my favorite blogs. After looking back at what I have posted, I sure was temped to delete, delete, delete!! Boy, there are some doozies on here! I decided that would defeat the purpose of my blog in the first place; to see my growth in papercrafting. I also considered filling my page up with pictures from Pinterest (I'm so addicted to that site) so the old stuff would go way...LOL, but I am only going to post one...for now. If anyone is reading this, I sure do thank you. I have so missed this amazing community of friends. No matter how bad life gets, there is always someone there to life your spirits.

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 6: Day 5

Hello Peachy friends! Today is my last day as a Peachy Keen Guest designer. =[ I have really enjoyed it and I'm actually a little sad it's coming to a close. My project today is for the LFIF challenge. The challenge is "Think Spring" handmade gifts! I am already in the Spring mode, as you can see from my projects this week, so I was up for the challenge!!

I decided to create a gift bag for my BFF with another favorite Peachy Keen Stamp set....Retro Face Assortment. We are both always giving eachother crafty goodies we pick up along the way after one of us has gone shopping. It is usually stuff we find on a really good sale. We usually just hand it to the other in whatever store bag it came from. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to whip up a cute little bag for the next shopping trip. I just know she will LOVE it! (I'm sure she will see this post, but I knew she would love actually seeing something that is especially for her. Whenever I make a card she likes, I always get the call, "When are you sending me that card?"...LOL) So...Kim, this is for you, but you can't get it until I go shopping!!! HEHE!!

I used a black gift bag, layered it with some Papertrey Ink cardstock and ribbon, and a butterfly from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge. The butterfly is cut at 3.71". I thought that Retro face added just the right touch. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE that face. It is fun to color, too. It's like you are putting on her makeup! I used my Spica glitter pens for her eyes and lips and a little chalk for her cheeks. I added some white fabric thickers for a little extra POP! I know I went a little crazy on the bling! I just couldn't stop! I actually removed a bunch, too!

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 6: Day 4

Happy Thursday! This is day 4 of my 5 days as a guest designer with Peachy Keen Stamps. I want to thank you so much for all the lovely comments. I read each and every one of them and they always make me smile. I hope you all have found at least a little inspiration this week. Peachy Keen faces really are a blast to work with! I can't get enough of them! There are many to choose from and I always get asked about what set to start with. Honestly, if you just pick a set of faces that YOU really like, it is easy peasy to incorporate them with most any project. For example, I often use the Princess faces on animals, etc. Hope that helps some of you that are new to Peachy Keen Stamps. I have used a different set each day this week, highlighting some of my favorite faces (now, that was FUN!).

Today's card kind of took on a life of its own...LOL. I started making a cupcake and ended up with a baby bunny!! Long story. I do this ALL the time. That pretty new Graphic 45 paper was sitting on my craft table and I just couldn't resist using it. Just didn't work with the cupcake. So...from cupcake to this:

I used the Peachy Keen Stamps Everyday Character Face Assortment-PK 490 to stamp the adorable face. This set was my very first Peachy set. Very special to me! This little baby bunny was cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge. I used the Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder on some kraft cardstock and inked up the very top of the embossing. A little ribbon, some buttons and teeny tiny pearls, a Pink by Design stamp, all layered on top of that yummy Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime paper, and VOILA! A Peachy-fied card for somebunny special!

ETA: I have a fun little tip for you. The sentiment I used is from Pink by Design Go Green Stamp Set and is all on one line. Well, this card is a mini, 4.5" x 4.5", and I just didn't have the room to stamp it that way. No problem! Just ink the stamp as normal, put a piece of tape over the second word, stamp, ink it up again, tape over the first word, stamp the second word underneath the first. Easy peasy and you can get even more versatility out of your stamp sets!

Hello Peachy friends! I am back with another Peachy Keen Stamps project today. I really love how this card turned out and having those face stamps sure makes it easier! When designing this card, I knew that I wanted to make an owl with my favorite little face from the Critter Faces Medium Set. !sn't that face just the cutest?! I love it when cards come together so well and you just get that warm fuzzy feeling when you look at them! Make sense? Well, I felt that way with this one. That face mixed with that cute owl and pretty colors just makes me happy. And...it was easy to make...a plus!

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 6: Day 2

Hi everyone! Kimmy here from Scrappin With Kimmy. Thanks for stopping by to check out my Peachy Keen guest designer spot. I will be at the Peachy Keen Stamps blog all week and I am having the best time! I just LOVE those Peachy Keen faces! Now that Valentine's Day is behind us, how about a Spring card? I am SO ready for Spring!! Although I live in Florida, this Winter has been unusually chilly. I don't think I'll ever complain about the hot Florida sun again...LOL. I miss it soooo badly! Anyhoo, I thought I would create a bright and Spring-y card for today's post.

I cut some flowers in three different sizes from the Mother's Day Bouquet Cricut cartridge and added those adorable faces from the Princess Face Assortment - PK640. Another favorite of mine! You can add them to just about anything! This is definitely my most go-to set.

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 6: Day 1

Happy Valentine's Day!! I am so excited to be a Peachy Keen Stamps guest designer this week! I have to admit that this is my favorite time of year to make cards. Hearts are my favorite shapes and pink is my favorite color! Needless to say, I was in heaven making this card with my favorite Peachy Keen Stamps set!

I used one of my favorite faces from the Laughy Taffy Face Assortment . (Warning: I LOVE all of my Peachy Keen Stamp sets, so you will probably hear me say the word "favorite" ALL week). I really like the versatility of this stamp set and I find that I use it A LOT! So much fun! I used the Rock Princess Cricut cartridge to cut the adorable heart and wings and glittered them up with some gorgeous Martha Stewart Tourmaline glitter.

I used my Spica glitter pens to add some color to her eyes and lips.

Included in the Laughy Taffy Assortment, is also this cute little stamp:

How fun is that?! I just HAD to stamp that on the back of my card! Too cute!

My BFF

Hi there, my crafty friends! This is just a quick post to ask you to please go and visit my BFF's new blog My Card Life (isn't that the GREATEST name?). Her name is also Kim. We met in our local Junior League when we were both pregnant with our now 11-year-old sons who are also best friends! I just have to tell you how special Kim really is. She said she had lost me to my Cricut, so she went out and bought one! I guess she figured, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em...LOL! Needless to say, she is hooked! We have had so much fun shopping together to get all she needs (and them some) to make her new craft room. I guess you could say that we are now partners in crime...hehe! I am truly blessed to have her in my life. We have laughed together and cried together and now...WE CRAFT TOGETHER!! It's going to be so much fun sharing our crafting antics with you all!! Please go and show her some crafty love. She is SO excited to join in our ~~cult~~ fun...hehe!

A Lotta Cupcake Cards!!

Hi friends! Okay, so I'm sure you are real sick and tired of me saying I'm back, only to go MIA, yet again! Well, all I can say is that I have FINALLY gotten myself ~~somewhat~~ organized, craft-wise and personally...LOL. NO MORE going MIA for long periods of time...at least not w/out warning! Promise.

I was on a bit on product overload (if that's at all possible) and did some rearranging in my craft room. I really let things get out of control in there and I just couldn't take it anymore! I bought the embellishment center from Michael's and I just LOVE it! They had a great sale on their Jetmax storage (40% off) AND I received a coupon via email for an extra 25% off entire purchase, even sale items! Now, that was a great deal! The retail price is almost $80.00 and I ended up getting it for around $35.00. I bought some of the plastic jars, too. You will be surprised at how much stuff you can get in those! Also, the ribbon holder holds quite a bit of ribbon.

Now, onto today's project. I have to say I never thought these cupcakes would end! I was at a point where I wanted them out of my life for good, BUT, now that they are finished, I am pleased with the result! I made 12 of them. Some for the boys to give as Valentines to their teachers and some for friends. They are tiny, but cute enough to eat!! =]

My pictures really stink lately! I am not sure if it is my camera or the way too advanced for me photo program that came w/ my new pink netbook. I am working on it!

Peachy Keen Stamps - LFIF Challenge: Thank You Card

Happy weekend, friends! I promise I really am back in full force, as I stated a few days ago! I have been trying to get ahead on my Peachy projects for my guest designer week coming up. A priority on my New Year's Resolution list is to actually work AHEAD of deadlines! I'll let you know how that goes...LOL. Anyhoo, I wanted to share my card for the Peachy Keen Stamps "Let's Face It Friday" Challenge. The challenge is to use a Peachy Keen Face stamp and create a thank you card for any occasion. You should come and play along with us! You have until Janurary 20th. I LOVED making this card and it really just makes me happy! Can you tell that I just recently got an I-Rock?! I LOVE that thing! I think I left it on a couple of the gems too long, as some glue came oozing out. I was too afraid to mess with it and make a mess out of my cardstock! Lesson learned for next time...hehe!!

Hi everyone! I am back after taking some "catch up" time and I am SO SUPER EXCITED about all the plans I have in the works for my blog!! I sure have missed you guys!

Today's card was inspired by a card in the new Cricut Magazine. Did you know that you can subscribe to a digital edition?! It is SO much cheaper and you can access it NOW! It is $4.95 a month and they charge you monthly. I did it, although I am a hold-it-in-your-hands card magazine addict! I LOVE my card/crafting magazines and spend way more than I should, so I thought I would give digital a try. There are a lot of pros to it, actually. If you are interested in subscribing digitally, click HERE. I have gotten used to accessing it online and I love how you can click on links in the supply sections and go directly to the merchant sites. It's pretty cool! I scraplifted this card from the magazine because I just LOVED the doily! I recently found some doilies with my table linens during the holidays and immediately moved them to my scrap room! Doilies are EVERYWHERE right now and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE them! All hail the doily! I inked mine up a little with some distress ink so it wouldn't look SO stark white.

Hello friends! Well, I am still trying to get used to my new laptop, as well as, my new photo editing program. Hopefully, I will get it all figured out soon...lol. Anyway, here is a card I made yesterday using my new Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite cartridge. I am LOVING this cartridge! I think it would have turned out better had I made her hair dark, but I always tend to make all my little people blonde because I'm blonde...hehe! Well, hope you like it. Have a FANTABULOUS day!

Crafting With Cristina's Companion Challenge - A Jolly Holidays Card

Hi Friends! Here is the card I made for Crafting With Cristina's companion challenge. The challenge was to use a holiday song to inspire you. The story behind this card is kinda funny! I was talking to my friend who was starting to decorate her house. She said "I'm decking the halls" today! I immediately pictured a little elf running around "decking the halls" and... so is this lil' elf...lol. I LOVE Christmas elves and that's why I HAD to have this cartridge. I was on a mission to get it!!!!! It is so stinkin' cute. Oh, I forgot to mention that this elf was holding Christmas lights, which I promptly chopped off. They were just too little for me and were becoming a bit messy, so an easy snip solved that problem...LOL Hope you like my card! Happy Thanksgiving friends! Well, it is just before midnight and I have just made it to the computer after a fun-filled and wonderful Thanksgiving day. So, technically, it is still Thanksgiving and I can still wish all of you a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving! I am so thankful to have met the most amazing people through this blog. I Am Thankful For...

Thought I'd share this lil' peek of some new Papertrey Ink goodies to break my nearly three week lack of posts! I have had one disaster after another over the last month, including my daughter in heaven's birthday, sick kids and the death of a laptop. Well, I am back after a shiny new PINK laptop and kids that are on the mend {knocking on wood}. This PTI order is my second in two weeks...LOL...and along with a couple of new cartridges added to my arsenal, I AM READY TO CREATE! I have so much to catch up on and am feeling a little overwhelmed, but I am excited to get "back in the saddle again". I will be back soon with a project I am working on. I am going to go and dig in to some of the Thanksgiving goodies I made for tomorrow (shhh...don't tell) and lock myself in my craft room!

BTW...those GORGEOUS little PTI stamp sets on the bottom of my picture were only $5.00 each!!!!! Their new November release items are TO DIE FOR!!!! I am completely and utterly OBSESSED with those vintage buttons...can't get enough of em'!

Shaken, Not Stirred...

Hi friends! Well, when I woke up this morning it was COLD! I am so happy...LOL! I'm sure it won't last long, but I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts and even though it still gets warm during the day. I have been loving the new digital Smiley Cards download on my Gypsy and here is a card I made last night. I recently got the Jump & Jive stamp set from Pink by Design and as soon as I saw that sentiment, I knew exactly what I was going to make. I also just added Laughy Taffy to my Peachy Keen Stamps collection and I just HAD to use this face...lol! I am LOVING this set! So much fun! Enjoy and have a HAPPY FRIDAY! I'm going to head out to the grocery store and get some hot cocoa...hehe! :)

Happy Thursday folks! Here is a sweet and simple card I made using Smiley Cards from the new Gypsy update. The weather here has been pretty dark and gloomy, so I will try and get a better picture when it clears up. We are FINALLY getting some cooler weather here in Florida this weekend and I am ready! Sometimes it is hard to get inspired to make Christmas cards when the air conditioner is running and it feels like a sauna when you walk outside...LOL. I plan on having lots of hot cocoa with my kids and lighting the fireplace this weekend (at night, though, because it will still be warm during the day)...hehe...gotta LOVE Florida! Anyhoo, enough about the weather, here is my card:

Woohoo! An early Christmas present! I am in my glory with all these new cartridges...LOL. Well, I have to admit that after doing some much-needed chores around the house, including cleaning up my craft room, I took a nap!! I am usually not a napper, but I guess I needed it. A clean house and a nap and now off to do some craftin'! Tonight is a good TV night and I am so glad I have a TV in my craft room. Happy Gypsy update everyone! :)

Happy November friends! A brand new month and a brand new week! I am all better now and so excited to get working on holiday cards. My Halloween weekend was very busy, but GREAT! I had my son's class party on Friday and then my other son's Halloween/Birthday party last night. So, now I am going to get my craft room cleaned up and start working on some projects. I feel SO behind! Like many of you, my Gypsy did update with the new cartridges, but they are still showing up in RED. I know they are working on it and hopefully they will turn BLACK soon! I can't wait to use Smiley Cards and Christmas. It sure is going to feel like Christmas when I have access to those new cartrides!! I know I'm a little late posting this, but here are the treat bags I made for my son's class party on Friday:
