Happy Monday to you! I'm up over at Quick Quotes today and am sharing a bit inspiration to help 'perk' you up after Daylight Savings time.

I used a variety of PowderPuff Chalk Inks to edge the die cut pieces on my card. I selected the papers as they had a nice Spring feel to them. The sentiment is stamped in Cool Gray PowderPuff Chalk Ink and if you don't have it, definitely put it on your list!

The coffee ring image is stamped with one of our 2018 PowderPuff Chalk Ink colors, Kokomo. To accent the design, I added some additional die cut pieces from my stash.

For the Love of Fall and Coffee!

I have a fun project to share with you in celebration of the 2017 Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! It's seriously caffeinated and features pieces from the August Club Q Kits by Quick Quotes. This fall Quick Quotes is participating as a Super Sponsor for the hop!

I began with a cream cardstock base card from my stash and added several layers of pretty patterned paper from a new collection named "Harmony" which is part of the kits.

I used a coffee cup die to cut the focal design and the coordinating stamps along with Java PowderPuff Chalk Ink for the sentiment. The steam flourish was cut from cream cardstock and colored with Latte PowderPuff Chalk Ink.

Some layers of doily die cut, cheesecloth, border dies and a bit of shabby ribbon and a pretty flair completed the card along with a couple of stick pins.

Joy Clair and Quick Quotes Promotion!

Friday greetings to you! Today is day five of the Quick Quotes promotion and giveaway with Joy Clair this week. I am up on the blog along with June Swart featuring the lovely Joy Clair stamps and of course Quick Quotes products.

Today I have a Traveler's Journal that I created using the new and gorgeous papers called Serenade, PowderPuff Chalk Inks, Joy Clair stamps and of course some mixed media and a few extra goodies.

For the cover, I am featuring the Uh Oh Ink Splatters stamps by Joy Clair, you can see the larger splatter on the lower left corner using Midnight Confessions PowderPuff Chalk Ink and the petite splatter dots in the upper left.

This set of stamps is so versatile, I just love the extra interest they add here!

For the binding, I adhered some paper doily that I inked with Sky Blue, then Mod Podged to the binding to soften the look of my Journal. I was inspired by Susie Bentz's idea to use a flair to accent the spine so I found some coordinating ribbon and added a little bow.

To create the lines on my signature page inserts, I used my Canon Pixma iP8720 and Microsoft Word.

Create a new word document
Adjusted margins to 8.25 wide x 8.50 high
Created two columns and tabbed down to type several lines using double spacing in the paragraph.
Copy and paste the lines in the next column so they are even.
Changed color of underline to a coordinating ink color for my paper. Here I used a blue.
Print and repeat for any additional signature pages you wish to have some journaling lines on.

Create word document and sized to 8.25 wide x 8.50 high.

Verify your margins and adjust as needed. I made mine .75

Orientation is Portrait.

Inserted two columns, format spacing to double space.

Type in your lines as desired.

When completed, print your document.

For this printer, place paper right side up, adjust the paper guides to fit your custom paper size.

Final result. I like to mark my measurements lightly on the page and erase when done so I don't get confused with orientation. Once I had my signature pages with lines created, I added additional stamping and interest using my PowderPuff Chalk Inks and my Joy Clair stamps.

Travel Journal featuring BoBunny Down By The Sea

Crafty greetings to you! It's time for a bit of fun with mixed media and BoBunny today. I've created a Travel Journal featuring the Down By The Sea collection.

This travel journal features Gold Confetti Paste, Stamping, Stencils with Silver Glitter Paste, Pearlescents and some Pentart 3D Balls make an appearance as well. The coordinating accents include Chipboard, Noteworthy and some of the DoubleDot Jewels for accent.

I love the subtle sparkle that the Gold Confetti Paste adds. I also stamped lightly and then splattered a touch of Gold Glimmer Spray. To color the Pentart 3D Balls, they were placed into a small zipper plastic baggie, added a tiny amount of Chocolate and Sugar Pearlescents and rolled them until I had the color I wanted. I then laid them out to dry.

The finishing touches were some drops of Pearlescents added here and there to create more texture. They were also placed into the cheese cloth. I hope you've enjoyed my little travel journal.

Summer Fun

Happy Tuesday to you! I have a project to share with you featuring pieces from the June Club Q kits by Quick Quotes and using my fabulous Canon Pixma IP8720 Printer.

I recently had the opportunity to go to a crop and grabbed the June Club Q kits that I had and my 2017 PowderPuff Chalk Inks along with my photo collage that I printed out in advance.

I cut apart a few of the die cut elements and layered them in a grid pattern as a focal point for my collage photo. I liked the way the layered frames mimic the pattern and design of the collage. Using the die cut pieces from the kit made assembly of this page super quick and easy!

For the die cut title in the kit, I applied some Bora Bora PowderPuff Chalk Ink to tint it a bit darker. Once it dried, I added some Wink of Stella to just the bottom part of the title to give it a reflective appearance.

I created my photo collage using my Canon Pixma IP8720 printer and their My Image Garden software. It was super easy to do and I really like being able to use multiple photos in a single print. I used the Travel and Leisure 3 template from the software.

Weekend Adventures with BoBunny

Saturday greetings to you! I have a project to share with you today that I recently created for BoBunny featuring one of their newest collections, "Weekend Adventures".

This project post is known as "1 Layout 3 Ways", I will share a page in three varying degrees of difficulty. The Weekend Adventures collection has such a fun array of patterns and designs to it as you will soon see.

The image above is a very basic design or "Level 1" that you can create using just the pattern papers in the collection along with some Noteworthy pieces. I did a bit of cut work for the oval layer with the floral that allows me to tuck my photo within.

Level 2, building in a few more pieces into the collage here, I have now included some chipboard elements and additional sentiments while keeping the rest of the design mixed media free. (Level 1 and Level 2 exclude any mixed media.)

Level 3, I worked in a few base pattern paper layers and added some Stamping, Glimmer Spray splatters along with a bit of Stencils and Pentart Stencil Paste. A variety of Dot Jewels are added as accents. To add a bit more dimension I also included some Layered Chipboard pieces.

I love the glitter accents of the Layered Chipboard pieces!

The two top layers are stitched on and edges gently distressed. Foam adhesive squares added so much texture on the page. Here's a surprise for you, the fireworks at the top (Good Vibes), are actually turned upside down. I thought it was a fun switch.

Of course I had to add a few Dot Jewels to accent the cute designs in this collection. This page was so much fun to build and it cam together so quickly.

Quick Quotes and Clear Scraps Cross Promo

Saturday greetings to you, it's Rhonda here to share a project with you as part of our week long cross promotion with Clear Scraps.

I've used one of our newest collections, Adventure Awaits which was perfect for our recent vacation photos from the beach in Florida.

I decided to use the 7x7 section from the Banners Acrylic 12x12 Page along with a photo that I printed out as an 8x10 and then cropped to fit. I used PowderPuff Chalk Inks on the back side to color coordinate with the photo. The bottom portion I used Latte and the upper portion I used a combination of Royal Blue and Caribbean Blue.

Next, I cut the other section of banners and layered it across the corner after applying some of the blues again on the back.

The page came together so nicely and I love that the focal point is the beach photo.

I used my Canon Pixma IP8720 to print out my 8x10 photo, then I trimmed to fit. You can easily customize the way you print the photo to ensure it will fit.

A Library of Memories with ScrapBerry's

Greetings and welcome to the blog, it's Rhonda here today to share a project with you featuring the timeless "Words Live Forever" collection by ScrapBerry's.

This collection is so perfectly suited for all of those historical photos. When I looked at the papers, I knew immediately what photos that I wanted to scrapbook. Part of my family history involves this schoolhouse that was built for my grandfather and his eleven siblings so that they had a school to attend. Later on, it became a museum full of artifacts and rich with our family history.

I played off of the timeless elements in the papers by cutting a few pieces from the "Postcards for Pennies" paper to get the feel for the direction that the page would take. I started by layering the background papers so the "Moments" notebook sheet is on top of the "7th Street Library" paper. A bit of modeling paste and a clock stencil was added. I added a variety of ink splatters and set aside to dry.

A bit of stamping using the Photo Archive stamps, both the filmstrip and the lightbulb. I also cut out the phone and added it with foam squares. I layered in the washi tape, a few die cuts and of course that gorgeous "Wind of Travel" clock.

I really love to capture pieces of our family story and heritage for our children. This collection is perfectly suited for so many types of projects!

Sweet Baby with JustRite Papercraft

Greetings crafty friends!

I have a JustRite Papercraft project to share with you today featuring some cute new baby themed dies. This card is a bit on the modern side of design which is fun for something different.

I cut the Quatrefoil background layer from some striped patterned papers, then cut the sentiment layers and rattle. I decided on the Hello Decorative Oval Dies for the center focal point.

A bit of dimensional squares are used to give the card some texture.

A few enamel dots, string and cheesecloth were the finishing touches along with a bit of Stickles for the rattle.

Melody of My Soul with ScrapBerry's

It's definitely that time of love in the air isn't it? Today I have a love themed project to share with you for ScrapBerry's current challenge featuring the "Birds of Paradise" collection.

I have used a variety of floral accents as well as a few die cuts and a metal charm. A bit of thick white gesso was added to some of the elements to white wash the colors and blend them a bit more to the collection.

In the image above, you can see the effect on the silver metal rose charm by adding a bit of white gesso. It transformed the charm. I love the mix of textures on this card.

Love is in the Air with ScrapBerry's

Saturday greetings to you! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I've got a ScrapBerry's project to share featuring a bit of recycling from a found object.

I've used the beautiful Birds of Paradise collection along with a piece of packaging material as my foundation to create an up-cycled home decor plaque.

How did this project begin? I received a box containing a new larger item and inside were several pieces of this oversized partition cardboard but with texture. I loved how durable and strong it was and thought, this could really work nicely for a wall decor item.

To begin, I used a coating of plain white gesso. After the first coat I applied a bit of ScrapBerry's Stains Ink in Pink to the raised areas, then muted it down with a 2nd coat of white gesso. A bit of silver embossing powder was used on top of the wet medium, then heat set with a heating tool. The final touch was an application overall of iridescent medium.

The technique accents the gray tones and softens the Pink ScrapBerry's Stains Ink to perfectly coordinate.

As you can see, I have die cut several items to layer, but the sentiment and bird with the florals were my inspiration. I've hand cut the florals and some of the leaves as they are so pretty!

January Stack-a-holic Challenge with DCWV!

It's time for a brand new January Stack-a-holics Challenge over at DCWV and they have the perfect themed sketches to inspire you!

I decided to use the DIY Project Stack for "Gift Decor Decorations" to create my card. The snowflake cluster begins with a base layer of a gold acetate snowflake, followed by a gold paper die cut, silver foil paper die cut and another gold foil snowflake die cut on top.

The sweet little gold bow and the "Cheers" sentiment banner are also from the stack. I added in a few gold enamel dots and a bit of vellum and cheesecloth for texture.

Love is... featuring ScrapBerry's Primavera

Wednesday greetings to you! I have a fun project that I created for the ScrapBerry's Blog to share with you today.

I have a romantic inspired page in honor of Valentine's Day featuring the Primavera collection. The inspiration for this page is a silly photo from Facebook. I found the sentiment on it to be so true and wanted to celebrate the silly that is shared in our relationships. To me, having a great laugh with my loved ones is the best!

To begin my page, I applied a bit of modeling paste with a stencil, then added some mist splatters in coordinating teal, blues, gold and silver. After selecting my paper to mat the photo to, I knew I wanted to have nice texture on the page so I also added a bit of corrugate.

A bit of white chalk ink was applied to the corrugate and around my photo collage to provide a soft distressed appearance. I used a stencil brush to work the ink into the paper with a soft look. After I framed the collage, I knew I wanted to add this technique around the outer border as well.

The white Chipboard Tag Frame in a scalloped oval shape I cut apart and used in opposing areas to help create the visual triangle in my design. A bit of pearl paint was added in coral, mint and pink to blend with the color scheme.

A few details so you can see some of the textures within the layers. I started with the drywall tape, added mist and ink splatters, then the white chalk ink distressing, followed by the washi tape. A few accent die cuts from the papers are added as well.

I have a holiday card to share with you today featuring some of the pretty dies and stamps by JustRite Papercraft. The papers are Maja Designs "Home for the Holidays" collection.

I used the Quatrefoil background die and layered some vellum behind. On top of this I've used the Snowflake and Tag dies and the sentiment block from the Heart and Frame dies set.

The pretty florals here are by JustRite as well. A few touches of Antique Linen ink coordinated with the papers wonderfully.

I wanted to share my inspiration project for the DCWV Mood Board challenge for December. This card was created using the "Christmas Plaid" stack by DCWV.

I have a fun ScrapBerry's Project to share with you that I created for their current challenge theme which is "Christmas". You can find the details and more inspirational challenge projects from other crafters here.

I took these photos of our oldest a few weeks ago when he found the Christmas decorations and decided to run around all morning with his Santa hat on. As you can see, it takes a few iterations and patience to get a photo.

The "Once Upon a Winter" paper collection was perfect to coordinate! I used a variety of mixed media here to bring in some background glitter snowflakes. The ink splatters, lace and string added the texture I was looking for.

I loved the "Ho! Ho! Ho!" sentiment and the Flair Metal Embellishment was nicely paired to create my title work for the page.

Some stamping with the Photo Archive film strip stamp along with a few layers of Around the World Washi Tape worked in nicely.

Vintage Inspired Gift Bag with ScrapBerry's

As the weather is starting to turn into fall here, I have been inspired to create a few holiday themed items. Today I have a sweet little nostalgic gift bag to share with you featuring the “Once Upon A Winter” collection by ScrapBerry's.

The gift bag is 8.5” tall x 5” wide.

I started by selecting the focal point nostalgic character for the bag along with the sentiment. I found a delicate oval frame die that would frame my focal point nicely. Next, I selected coordinating layers of pretty oval shapes to create dimension and texture.

The sentiments were cut from the “Happy Holiday” paper. Edges are inked and then collaged with other coordinating embellishments. I’ve included a touch of cheesecloth and vellum for a soft feel.

You’ll also see subtle that I’ve used one of the snowflake brads as well. The finishing touches were a tiny tag attached to a bit of tied netting that was warped a bit with my heat gun. Touches of Diamond Stickles were added to the snowflakes.

I was recently up over on the BoBunny Blog with a project featuring one of our newer collections "Winter Wishes".

"Let it Snow" Winter Celebration Décor

This project is a home decor pallet in celebration and anticipation of winter and snow featuring Winter Wishes and DoubleDot Jewels. In selecting my background patterned paper for this project, I loved these birch trees with the cool crisp feel of winter.

I base coated the wooden pieces with Pentart White Acrylic Paint, then adhered the Winter Wishes paper to them. When I next applied my texture using Sugar Glitter Paste and Structure Paste with the Winter Fun Stickable Stencil, I adhered all pieces together snugly, let dry.

Once the textures dried, a bit of Glimmer Spray splatters were added. When those dried, I separated and attached the panels to the backing wood pieces.

I selected my sentiment from the coordinating Combo Stickers and accented with DoubleDot Jewels in Think Pink and Tuxedo. Several of the BoBunny dies were used to cut a variety of shapes for layering. I did a bit of fussy cutting from the papers to keep it interesting.

I like to cut a variety of shapes from different papers all at once, and then sit down with my project and layer. It makes things go a little quicker for me.

One last image to show off the pretty textures achieved by using the different mediums and mixing in the DoubleDot Jewels and Jewel Flourish.

Holiday Card Inspiration with SEI

Friday greetings and welcome to the blog today. I was recently up on the SEI Blog with my final projects for my Design Team term. It has been an honor and sincere pleasure to design for them. I have loved their products from the very start of my paper crafting journey.

I have a bit of holiday inspiration that pushed me out of my comfort zone just a bit. I've created three quick and fun cards using the Merry Mistletoe collection. Yes, you read that correctly, I said quick!

For the first A2 sized card, I've featured a bit of the packaging from my Die Cut Pack and also some of the Alpine Velvet Papers.The sweet little die cut bird is delivering the sentiment tag. The design here is very simple, but the cute stickers and embellishments make it easy to create something fun in a flash!

To create my second card, I went with a bit of a smaller scale card, it's approximately 4" square.

I loved the sweet reindeer sticker, so I selected him and then layered the pine bough swag behind the reindeer antlers to give him a festive look. A bit of fabric trim from my stash creates a focal point for the sentiment sticker which is adhered with foam squares.

It doesn't get much simpler than this, yet cute! A gem on his nose would be fun too.

The third card is again a smaller scale 4" square design. I used a die cut circle, punched a snowflake and layered between it and the "Love" sticker sentiment. I added the "Happy Holidays" on the bottom to anchor the design and added a bit of banner light bulb sticker underneath.

A bit of dimension in the layers keeps it interesting.

ScrapBerry's November Challenge!

I've got a fun project to share with you today that I created for ScrapBerry's November and December Challenge. This year is just flying by, I can't believe it's November already. My project features the Winter Joy collection by ScrapBerry's.

The foundation is a plain canvas binder sized 7.25” x 8” that I picked up at my local craft store. It is primed with white gesso. I used stencils and modeling pastes, glass bead gel along with several spray mists and paints for color. A pretty variety of ScrapBerry’s embellishments helped create the design.

The binder will be used to store our family memories during the holidays. I loved altering the Resin Flowers and the Cherry Blossom Flower to fit with my design theme.

To accent my Convex Metal Frame, I added gel medium lightly to the scalloped frame, then sprinkled with gold embossing power. I heat set the powder. I also have done this to the Set of Wings to blend into my design.

Vintage Season's Greetings with ScrapBerry's

Greetings and happy Sunday to you.

I was recently up over on the ScrapBerry's blog with a project in vintage and romantic holiday theme. I'm excited to share with you my card featuring the "Winter Joy" collection by ScrapBerry's. This collection has some wonderful vintage images as well as coordinating sentiment cut outs.

"Season's Greetings"

To begin, I selected an oval focal image from the “Postcards” paper and cut it out. I then selected my base paper to coordinate with, the “Sprinkle of Snow”. After trimming to an A2 size, I used a distress die and cut the bottom right corner relief design. Added a piece of “Winter Garden” to peek from behind.

Once I selected those elements, I cut several more die cut elements and layered them with the focal image. First, I cut a circular floral vine from “Ice Feathers”. This is layered on top of a pinecone that was cut from “Winter Music”. As each piece was muted, I added touches of shimmer using my Wink of Stella clear glitter. To complete the framing for my image, I cut another circular flourish and layered underneath.

The sentiment was trimmed from the “Cards” paper. Edges are inked, distressed a bit and then touched with a bit more Wink of Stella to add a hint of shimmer. I added a die cut deer peeking out and a sweet bow in White Wax String for interest.

You’ll also see subtle snowflakes punched from vellum. One is accented with a coordinating white snowflake brad The collages of embellishments in the right corner were the finishing touches.

DCWV and Chameleon Blog Hop!

For the feature focal point of my card, I selected one of the Gilded Geo tags from the Paint and Create stack. You can also add some of the watercolor paint, but for this project I stuck with my Chameleon Pens.

I accented the colored design with a bit of stamping and ink splatters.

To add the sentiment, I cut it and adhered with foam adhesive.

To begin, I found the pretty butterfly tag here on my stack. Selected some of my favorite Chameleon Colors and started adding color.

A bit of strategic color placement helps the overall design achieve balance.

Directions:

- Trim Tag from Paint and Create Stack, color butterfly as desired.

- Create mask for butterfly using scrap piece of vellum, trace shape and cut.

- Stamp and splatter over the masked butterfly, set aside to dry.

- Trim layer of gold foil and white striped paper to 6.5 x 4.5

- Adhere to A7 Kraft Embossed Card Base using tape runner.

- Punch tab from corrugated paper (I used a coffee sleeve).

- Punch hole and tie string to tab.

- Select sentiment of your choice from paper. Trim as banner shape.

- Using strip next to sentiment, cut 2 banner strips. Attach under tab.

- Punch butterfly tag with hole punch and add trim as desired.

- Attach cheesecloth to back of tag if desired.

- Cut 5.25 x 3.25 piece of scallop paper. Punch upper two corners if desired.

- Adhere corrugate tag behind scallop paper.

- Cut 2.5 x 1.5 piece of pink paper. Attach under scallop paper, then attach tag to card.

- Add rub-ons or stamp as desired for additional mixed media look.

- Trim the "fabulous" word out leaving slight border. Adhere with foam adhesive.

October Stack-a-Holics Challenge!

Happy Monday to you! It's already October, can you believe that?

It's time for a brand new DCWV Stack-a-Holic's challenge, which is always so inspirational! For my project here I used the Happy Day stack along with a bit of mixed media on top of an Embossed A2 White Card.

I used a bit of glimmer spray drops and then my Ranger mister with a few distress markers. A few of the pretty elements, like the doilies and bow from the stack were cut out and arranged. I used one of my Martha Stewart Punches for the blue center doily.
