MY CREATION

This is a long overdue layout that I should have posted last month when my son celebrated his 3rd birthday. These are his birthday pictures taken on May 20th. I promised to treat him in a monster truck at an arcade that day but thought we'd pass by a photo studio for some birthday pictures first. He was not very happy about it so it was hard to get him to smile, though he did all the poses the photographer asked him to do. The photo still turned out great despite the hesitant smiles ;-).

THE INSPIRATION - Happy Go Lucky by Shabby Princess

MY CREATION

On May 20th, my little tot celebrated his 3rd birthday. Instead of throwing him the usual birthday party, we decided to just have a family get-away in Maine the weekend following his birthday. But of course his special day didn't just go by without any treat. I took him to the mall for a birthday photo shoot; rode the carousel and other arcade rides; visited a pet shop and played in the mall play area. And the highlight of his day was the blowing of candles on his birthday cake. He waited patiently for dada to arrive from work with a birthday cake and 3 balloons. He enjoyed blowing candles on his "happy birthday cake" as what he called it. He requested that I lit the candles again and again so he could blow some more.

My little tot used to be scared getting a haircut. Actually I guess it's not the haircut per se that's he's scared of, it's the fact of being restrained to a chair with a stranger holding him. But he's more relaxed and can tolerate the clippers now.

These are some of my wedding photos that I got so inspired to put into a nice layout to commemorate my and hb's 7th wedding anniversary. The quotes around the center element were the actual quotes we used in our wedding invites and misalette. This was the most memorable day in my and hb's lives and we won't change it for the world.

We take as much afternoon walks in a cold winter weather as we can handle. This photo was taken on the day when it was fairly cold and we got locked out because I forgot to bring the house keys. I got cold and lost my voice as a result. But my little tot was just fine, he loves the snow.

Exactly a year ago tomorrow, we made a very hard decision of putting our sweet Laddie to sleep. We cried for God knows how long. But we just couldn't bear his suffering any longer, so we just had to let him go. I know he is now in Doggie heaven watching over us. Check his story here.

On Michael's 29th month birthday, I chronicled the day with snapshots from the time he woke up till the time he went to bed. And these pictures were just some of the activities he did during that day. He loves pancakes for breakfast and he wants to be in the center of the preparation all the time. So on this special day, I just let his hands get dirty to help mommy make pancakes.

I've posted this one already in my other blog before the birth of ScrappyMommy. I just thought of re-posting it here for others to see (read - I was too busy to make one for today's SS ;-)). Anyway, this was one of my earliest traditional scrapbook creations. I was too inspired I created a poem for my son.

You paint a sMile on my face everyday,
With your Infectious smile my boredom is kept at bay,
You put a twinKle in my tired eyes,
