First, I've managed to invite my cousins to watch Transformer: Dark of the Moon with me on this coming Sunday. Yes, I’ve been waiting for the movie to be released. So, I’m very happy that I finally got to watch it.

Secondly, I've managed to get a team for treasure hunt on 10th July which I've registered today. The team comprises of my cousin, her friend (from Australia that coincidently is coming to KK over that week), my friend and I. All are gals. Thus, we named our team as Ultimate Galz. Actually, it was my cousin’s friend who is the one who found out about this hunt. Otherwise, I wouldn’t know about it. She asked my cousin and my cousin invited me and then I invited my friend.

The treasure hunt is called ISM HUNT 2011 Treasure Hunt “Exploring New Frontiers”. It is organized by Institute of Surveyors Malaysia.

Thirdly, I might be going on a day trip to tip of Borneo and Kundasang on the 3rd or 4th weekend. Hopefully this trip will not be cancelled.
It’s called Onbux. Onbux is about one year old now. I’ve joined Onbux not long after they’ve launched in June 2010 and had since made one withdrawal. I’m a standard member and have not made any upgrade thus, the slow earnings. I don’t mind as long as it pays. I’m doing this to get some side income.

For those who are unfamiliar with PTC, it is basically a website offering you to click on their advertisement and wait for the duration specified for the ad to pass to get an amount credited into your account. To sums it up, you are paid to click on their ads. The amount you get is either a cent or a fraction of a cent. A word of advice here; don’t expect to get rich from PTC sites.

To be honest, Onbux have been said to withhold some of their member’s withdrawal, especially those upgraded members that are requesting large withdrawals. Members have to wait for Onbux to manually approve their withdrawal with no guaranteed waiting period. Plus, members are not allowed to ask about the status of their withdrawal. Otherwise, they will be put to the end of the line. So, that’s why a lot and I mean a LOT of members got mad. You can search around the internet for this.

However, for standard members, which are those that have not upgraded, are able to get instant payment. I’m one of the standard members, so I got an instant payment when I requested my first withdrawal.

There was a period when Onbux stopped the usage of one of their payment processor, Paypal. I think they have some problems with PayPal’s policy or something. But I’m glad they are able to work it out as PayPal is back on their payment processor list.

I’m going to post about the workings of Onbux’s site on my next entry. If you're interested to join, kindly click on the below link.
If you’re in primary school, you would feel very happy. But if you’re in secondary school already and in your teens, you might feel a little embarrass. Well… for those highly rebellious teens, they probably would think it’s a major embarrassment.

However, Dale Price, a fulltime dad at home from Utah just upped the ante. He had been wearing different costumes every day just to wave at the bus that his high school son takes to go to school. And his wife, Rochelle, had been diligently taking photos of each waving session. You can check it out at their blog at <a href=” http://waveatthebus.blogspot.com” target=”_blank”>“Wave at the Bus”.

I find it funny and it might just make you smile for the day. If it were to happen to me, it might have been pretty embarrassing at the beginning, but I guess I’ll get used to it. I mean, where else can you find such a dedicated father; albeit the father’s intention is to make fun of his son.

They were on the news a couple of times. My favourites are the policeman, Snow White, Tinker Bell, Princess Leia and Dale sitting on a toilet bowl.

You can add an energy saving mode function to your blog or website with just a few line of scripts. This is a free service provided by Online Leaf. They called it their standby engine. What it does is similar to when you set your monitor to sleep/standby mode whereby the screen turns black after a preset time of inactivity. I've decided to add it to my blog.

If you're interested also, here's how you can add it to your Blogger account:

Log in to Blogger account and go to Design >> Edit HTML

Find this tag </head> by using Ctrl+F

Copy and paste below code just before that tag

<script language="javaScript" type="text/javascript" src="http://www.onlineleaf.com/savetheenvironment.js"></script>

You may change the time duration to your preference. I set mine to 1 minute like the below code:

<script language="javaScript" type="text/javascript" src="http://www.onlineleaf.com/savetheenvironment.js?time=60"></script>

Now click save and you are done.

When you’re done adding the scripts, try waiting to see whether it works on your blog or not.

The script uses jQuery, so if you are using other Javascript libraries with it, make sure to use the code below:

<script>jQuery.noConflict();</script>

1Malaysia Pengguna Bijak

The government have just launched a new portal yesterday. It's called 1Malaysia Pengguna Bijak (1MBP) portal. It's a price portal for smart consumers to check on retail offerings. I read about it from The Star today. You may read it here.

I checked it out after dinner, but I think the website is not ready entirely. I decided to register anyway. After registered, you'll receive an email providing you a password for you to login.

There is a button to change the language to English but after clicking on it, it is still in Bahasa Malaysia. And something is just not working either here or there. The page was unable to load when I clicked for the price watch.

Conclusion: There're still many things to work on for the website.

Time

Happy times will pass by quickly. Sad times will pass slowly. Actually, no matter if you’re happy or sad; time is just passing by at its usual pace. It is still 60 minutes for an hour, 7days for a week and 365 days for a year (well, 366 days for a leap year). Time will not go faster nor will it go slower.

What caused it are actually our feelings, emotions and situations at present. When we’re happy or having fun we’ll unconsciously wish to prolong the time. So we feel as if that time just flew by. However, when we’re sad or miserable, we’ll wish that time could go faster as we want to forget about the sad thing(s) that is happening in our life. Therefore, we’ll feel that time is crawling by.

If you’re having a party, you’d wish the night will go on. If you’re going on a trip, you’ll feel that you’re back at home in just a short while.

If you’ve broke up with your bf/gf/lover, time will seem like moving at a turtle speed and sometimes you might wish to go back in time. If you’ve a family member who passed away, you’ll feel that time is never enough and you might feel like lost in time.

There’re times when there are datelines (for work or project) to be met, time will goes by excruciatingly fast. But when one is bored with nothing to do, time is like a stand still.

I’m sure everyone has had one of those times and many other different kind of feelings at different stages of life.

PS: I just meant it to be a scribble for a post but it has become a long entry. So, I’m waiting for my souvenir when they get back. Hehe… I’ve never been to Taiwan yet. Maybe I’ll be able to go next year. My cousins and I have tentatively agreed to go next year. Hopefully we’re able to get cheap fare from Air Asia.

I’ve been busy going to the airport today. First, it’s to send my parents off for their trip. Then, fetch my sister as she’s coming back for a visit. I actually joined Planet Pulse way back in 2006. I have gradually forgotten its existence until last year where I started to take up the surveys offered by them again.

When you are offered a survey, please do not put your hopes up as sometimes you won’t be qualified to take the survey. This is due to the fact that you need to fulfil the criteria that have been set. As with all the survey sites out there, before you are directed to the actual survey, you’ll be asked a few preliminary questions to determine whether you’re the targeted group they are looking for.

You will be rewarded with Pulses for every completed survey. 'Pulses' is the e-currency of Planet Pulse. One (1) pulse equals to USD 1.00. According to their website, rewards range from 100 - 5000 Pulses! However, the highest I’ve received is 400 pulses. From my experience so far, if you’re unqualified for the survey, you’ll be rewarded 25 pulses for your time. And luckily, the pulses do not expire until you redeem it.

How to redeem your pulses? You can redeem your pulses to your PayPal account when you’ve reach the minimum requirement of 2500 pulses. Or, you can choose to donate your pulses to their “Pulse Foundation” with the minimum requirement of 1000 pulses.

The only problem I had with Planet Pulse is that I was not credited with the promised pulses after I’ve completed a survey on 01 Jan 2011. I’ve sent several emails to them since then but have yet to receive a reply.

Money Money Come Come

I’m sure everybody wants… no make that NEEDS extra money nowadays. Why? It is because of the rising cost of living, especially these last few years from the economy downturn to the rising cost of fuel. It has never stops. Thinking about it makes me fear for the future.

That’s why I’m searching for any way to earn some extra money online. My search took me to join some online survey sites. These sites are really slow in earning as you’ll only be able to take the survey if you fulfill its criteria for that particular survey.

I tried advertising on my blog but without success. Probably due to my blog is not famous, the content is not interesting as I’m just posting bits and pieces of my personal life and I’m not posting entry consistently. To earn from advertising on blog, your blog needs to have traffic, lots of them in fact. The content will need to be interesting enough to get readers attention to come back another time. And most importantly, you need reader that finds the ads interesting enough to click on it as some of the advertiser requires.

Next, I discovered PTC. PTC stands for Paid-to-Click. PTC sites are where its members are required to view advertisements on its site for a certain amount of time which can range from 10 seconds to 30 seconds. The rate varies depending on the time assigned for the advertisement. These are pretty easy to do as all you need to know is how to click. But the earnings are slow too. Plus you need referrals to help boost your earnings. Unless, you are willing to invest into their programme but it is not advised to do so before trying out their service. Even when you’re willing to invest, do take in mind that the investment is not guaranteed. The world of PTC is unstable and full of scams. PTC sites that is paying today might be gone tomorrow.

Perhaps I'm going to write about the sites that I'm currently joining in the next few days... if I'm up to it.

Watsons Membership Card

I went to collect my contact lens at Wisma Merdeka this afternoon. My mum came with me. She wanted to buy hand lotion as she has finished her current one. So, we went to Guardian to have a look. Guardian is having sales now. The hand lotion she's looking for is Eubos’ Hand & Repair Care. I bought it for her previously and she has been using it since. She likes the lotion as the lotion is quite suitable for her since her hand is quite dry. Guardian is having it at 20% discount. She didn’t buy it but then we went on to Watsons instead.

At Watsons, the lotion is at 15% discount only. We didn’t feel like going back to Guardian again so, I recommended her another hand cream, which is Rosken Dry Skin Cream. She said ok. So, after browsing through Watsons and get a few more items, we went to make payment. At the cashier counter, I suddenly thought of Watsons membership card and asked the cashier for it. I have been meaning to buy it for sometime now. After that, we went to Suria Sabah for the SATTA Fair. The fair was only a small one unlike the MATTA Fair at KL. You can round up all the booths in a few minutes (provided you did not sit down and chat with the travel agent's staff there of course). We got some itineraries for Taiwan tour as my family is planning to have a trip there.

Back to Watsons membership card;
You only need to pay RM 12.00 once for the card. There's no yearly renewal fee. As you can see from the picture below, the card comes in a package. Inside the package, there's the card itself (of course), a small booklet which consists of introduction of the card & instructions on activating the card and a stack of vouchers (ranges from RM 2.00 to RM 10.00 rebates). There're 3 ways of activating the card, which is by registering online, through their hotline or fill in the entry form from the store. I chose online coz this way I can earn the 200 bonus points which are not available to the other 2 ways of activations.

Guy's Armours vs Girl's Amours

While browsing through Google Reader, I found a comic strip by duelinganalogs with the title "All Geared Up and Raring to Go!". I find this comic strip said it straight to the point. Haha.... The male characters in games wears lots of armours for battle while the female counterpart is wearing less, I mean a whole lot less.

Maybe this is a tactic to attract the guys to play the games the developers are promoting, I'm not sure as I'm not familiar with those MMORPG games. But I must admit the female characters are pretty looking on the posters.
So, some of us will have a different zodiac sign than previously thought. Mine falls in the previously omitted sign, Ophiuchus. Hmmm... 0_o

Never mind, I'll just follow the chinese horoscope, which will never change.... I'm sure everyone who'd resolved to make a new start in the new year has already made their new year resolution. I, on the other had never made any resolution before. But I'm going to make some for this year. Although it's rather late, but it's better late than never, right? Hehe...

As my body is expanding horizontally, I must now take steps to rectify it. That is by exercising! I'm not going to put too much expectation as I know I'm a lazy person. I hope to at least do an hour of exercise a week.

Secondly, I'm hoping to make a bento at least 1 day in a week. I'm now infected by a "bento bug", if there's such a thing. Haha… Seriously, the reason was that I stumbled upon a blog "Just Bento" by Makiko Itoh. The blog is dedicated into bento making and anything bento related. After going through her blog, I'm hooked. By making bento, I can learn to cook as well. Hey, that's killing two birds with a stone! Besides, making bento can help control my eating as bento can only fit small portion of food.

Thirdly, I hope to maintain my blog. I haven't been posting on my blog regularly. Sometimes I can slack off for a few months. So, I won't put everyday on my list as I know I definitely won't be able to do it. Let's hope that I can make a post every week. If not, then every other week. Urgh, I'm getting lazier already.

I didn't have a good sleep last night. This is due to the loud music from neighbouring house. They were blasting the music for the whole entire night until now as I'm writing this post. Maybe there's a celebration or something. But people need to sleep even though today is a Sunday!! I weren't able to have a good sleep. I just slept and then woke up then slept a little before got waken again. The cycle just goes on and on until 6.18am this morning. This is when I just had had enough of the pitiful sleep I was having and decided to get myself up from bed. Arggh… I feel like cursing them. Anyone knows some spell I could use?

Primary Schoolmates Gathering

I went to a small gathering with my primary schoolmates on the eve of Merdeka Day. Can you still remember your primary schoolmates? It was all thanks to Facebook. Lol... That’s where most of us got connected back. Anyway, back to the gathering. We had the gathering at Texas Restaurant at Segama.

It was such a long time that we hadn’t meet. After graduated from Primary 6, some were at different secondary schools while some moved to other places. There were nine of us who are able to show up; Shawn, Feizal, Hamidi, Serene aka Kristy, Michael Yong, Alex Lee, Shah Rezal and I of course. There's one more person named Harold (came with his girlfriend I think). He was not from our class but the class next to us. ^0^

We had a great time at refreshing our memories. We recalled back funny stories during our school days, the teachers and what games we used to play. Mind you we do not have computers or handphones back then. We also updated each other on our life now.

Google Is Offering Phone Calls via Gmail

Yup you heard right. Google is offering phone calls via Gmail. You can make a call with a small plugin (voice & video plugin) — right from within Gmail. Calling anywhere in the US and Canada is free until the end of year 2010 while other international calls are offered low rates. If you want to check out the complete list of rates for international calls, click here. But please note that the rates listed may change at any time. All the rates are in USD of course.

At the moment the service is available to U.S. based Gmail users.
MyFM has a programme in the morning called 阳光灿烂 from 6am to 10am. Today I was listening to the radio as well. On today's topic, they talked about memories from your school time.

There's one caller who called in to share her memories which I found very funny. ^o^ She said that she remembered there's one time during the graduation ceremony in her kindergarten year, she was performing a dance (with other kids as well of course). During the performance, she was having stomach ache. Then, she defecated in the middle of the performance. But she still continued on with her dancing. So I thought, "Wow, so professional!" Haha... That’s what the DJs said too.

<a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_pdosKqvFSD0/TErzdsLGj_I/AAAAAAAAAFQ/0nAx2JEaAFI/kid%20dance.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; target="_blank"">

This has led me to recall one of my kindergarten memories. I remembered it was during the rehearsal. I was to act as a flower. There were others students acting as flower as well. We were to squat down with our heads on our knees during the beginning of the performance. Guess what happened? I fell asleep. Lol….. I couldn’t recall why I fell asleep. But I just did. Then the rest are fuzzy memories. Tried as I may, but I couldn’t recall anything more.

The Truly Loving Company

Support charity by buying personal and household products that you use daily!
Their flight is around 9.30am but have to reach the airport by 7.30am. Therefore, we need to wake up quite early to send them to the airport. It's an 8D trip. So, they'll be coming back next sunday. I'm feeling excited as well. Don't know why, but I just feel so. Perhaps because next month it's my turn to go Yunnan. Not anymore with Head & Shoulders Anti-dandruff Shampoo!

I have dandruff problem previously. I don’t recall having it during my childhood though. But I think I started to have it during my college years. It started to get more serious during these last 2 or 3 years. But since I’ve started using Head & Shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo, the dandruff has disappeared. I’ve been using the shampoo for about 5 months now. What a relieve it was. I don’t have to worry about dandruff on my shoulders anymore. ^^

What made me suddenly think of it? That’s because I bought the shampoo at RM14.88 (per bottle of 400ml) at Guardian today. The normal price is about RM20-21++. So, this is quite a value buy. That’s why I bought 2 bottles. But I'm still having the pop up ad problem. No, it did not pop back in my blog but rather the ad shows up when I try to post message in Cbox (the name of the chat box I added previously) from other people’s blog. O_o

I do not know what seems to be the problem here. Is it my computer has been infected by virus?

Now I don't dare to post message on other people's blog which has Cbox added as I’m afraid I might “infect” them with the virus. There’s another chat box named Shout Mix, but the ad did not appear when I post message on it. What should I do? Huhuhu….
