This month it is my deep honour to welcome another guest mix. And this really is something special.

This takeover is by none other than the infamous Blackclassical. I know this man by a couple of names, I know that he is a serious authority on jazz records, I know that jazz is not the only tickler of his musical fancy, I know that whatever he does he goes very, very deep indeed, I know he also produces his own beats and I know that his twitter updates are not for the easily offended. But that is all...

Blackclassical offered to do a mix and to take things somewhere a little different, a little electronic, a little hip-hop and a little jazz. I said to go nuts but he needed no encouragement.

And here you are; the following mix is not for the faint hearted, in three distinct parts and featuring some exclusive Blackclassical beats in the Hip Hop section.

Number 13 - my lucky number. This mix is a little different to the last - there's even a little prize to be won! Some special new bits from Greymatter and from Emanative (album launch party is this friday, catch Emanative, Simon S and Mr Beatnick playing records at Green & Red, Bethnal Green Road).

Something from Mr Beatnick (if you're on twitter make sure you're following Mr Beatnick) in here as well. Something a bit commercial in the form of Bat for Lashes, but I'm LOVING that album at the moment. A lot of big moments in there. Some freeness from Stacy Epps (check the link to grab your own copy), elements of a massive track for me personally (Nights Over Egypt) in the form of Aaron Jerome's Faith Evans remix.

Finally some latin vibes are followed with my remix of The Politik's Mistaken, which should be seeing the light of day shortly.

March! Months have passed. Christmas came and went. I finished an album. My first.

So now what? Plenty of gigs for starters. Ain't No New Thing is still going strong one year on. Plus there is the Wah Wah Easter Special coming up (see the events page for more info), trips to Brighton, Nottingham and Norway and many more lovely places.

So it's taken me a while to get this one up. It's the new year and this is my first podcast a no nonsense, no chat mix again. And it's an erratic affair at that so any feedback most definitely welcome... adam@scrimshire.com

Things in 08 are already busy and keeping me on my toes, on March 31st a second single is out with the beautiful Aaron Jerome remix of Warm Sound feat. Inga-Lill Aker and an instrumental piece called When the World Was Young. Early in April you can also hear the track Mistaken feat. Rob Hynd, which is included on the 3rd Wah Wah 45s Underground Hits and Exclusive Bits compilation.

Autumn, ahhh, lovely.

So everyone has started thinking about Christmas, there's a new shop on Putney high street selling bulbs (of the lighting variety) and it has the largest motorised Santa Claus I've seen in some time. I've bizarrely made plans for my Christmas already and I am beginning to panic about whether I got everything done this year that I should have... the answer is no by the way, no I haven't. Not yet anyway.

But fortunately there is some time left to go... And in that time...

This weekend I'm up in sunny Leeds playing with a selection of fine Brownswood DJs at Mook for FYE North.

Next week you can check the 10 piece (yes 10) Scrimshire live band, supporting Bonobo at London's (in)famous Jazz Café. (more info at WahWah45s.com)

On the the 7th December I'll be playing alongside the legendary Dom Servini at the marvellous Barrio night run by Robs Coley and Le Marchand (more info at soul-identity.com or barrionorth.com)

The summer has been a busy one, apart from very special trips to Oslo and Prague, a few good nights in London, a trip to Bestival and more than my fair share of wedding DJing (!?!?!) I haven't had many minutes spare, but it's been beautiful. Culminating last weekend in my little brother getting married and quite a special family reunion.

Time just keeps getting away, I've just sat here to post this and realised I haven't recorded a podcast since April - Bad!

The good news is that in that time I seem to have picked up a lot more listeners, which makes it all the more important to get these up regularly - I will try harder... promise.

The last couple of months have been busy, we played at Cargo to a packed house on May 11th, Warm Sound came out on the Wah Wah 45s compilation Underground Hits & Exclusive Bits: Two, I had a little trip to stunning Oslo with Mr Servini to play a few records and on Tuesday this week we returned to the Jazz Café for what most of us think was the best gig to date. Going to finish off this month by heading down Jazzin' at Doon tonight and the Soil & Pimp at the Jazz Café tomorrow followed by Quantic at Cargo. So last night (wednesday) was my only free night this week, and with the rain tipping out of the skies I thought I'd put this together for you.
