An Easier Way to Pay for Scrip

Don't carry cash or write many checks anymore? Yep, me either. Most people pay for things with debit or credit card. But ALA has to pass along a 2.75% convenience fee for debit/credit card transactions, and this often negates the rebate you're trying to earn.

But there's a better way to pay! Our Scrip vendor offers PrestoPay as an easy solution. Link your checking or savings account to PrestoPay, and you'll be able to instantly pay for Scrip. No cash, check, or card needed.

Here's how it works:

1. Visit ShopwithScrip.com and set up your account. (You will need ALA's enrollment code of 99C4D2751263.)

ShopwithScrip.com will allow you to purchase plastic cards, ScripNow ecards, and reload some existing gift cards. (When you purchase plastic cards you may pick them up at ALA or have them sent via a student courier.)

2. Set up your PrestoPay account from within your SWS account.

Fill in necessary account information.
Some small amounts will be deposited into your account.
Verify those amounts back at ShopwithScrip.com.
Forward the code you receive via email to ALA's Scrip coordinator so that she can activate your account.

Now you're all set!

Harkins Cups & $10 Cards

They're back!

Once again we are able to offer certificates for Harkins loyalty cups. The cost of the cups this year is $5.25. You'll enjoy $1.50 refills for all of 2016, and the first fill is free!

You'll also receive a 20% Scrip rebate for each cup you purchase.

We also will restock Harkins $10 cards which give you a 10% rebate.

Cups and $10 cards will be available on Wednesday, November 18.

And as always we have $25 Harkins cards, also at a 10% rebate.

Scrip Gift Card Update

This Christmas season is going by quickly! Because we order Scrip from Great Lake Scrip Center in Michigan, the last Sunday that we are placing an order for specific plastic cards is this Sunday, December 13. Orders must be placed by 6 pm, no exceptions.

Gift cards still will be available at ALA and from your church or school's Scrip reps, but you'll need to be flexible and choose from their inventory. But if you have picky gift recipients you'll want to place your order by Sunday at 6 pm!

If you still have specific needs after the deadline, ScripNow! is an easy option for you, and all ScripNow! is available 24/7 in whatever denomination you'd like! ScripNow! can be printed right at your computer and packaged up just like a regular gift card. And it spends even easier at the store since there's no magnetic strip that can go bad. And if your gift recipient loses the ScripNow! you can print them a new one right from your computer, months after the original purchase. (Try that with a plastic gift card!)

Did you forget a gift for someone out-of-state? You can email ScripNow! to anyone with an email address!
