Scripture Melodies is a website providing FREE scripture memory music: sheet music, audio MP3s, and scripture memory coloring pages. Everything can be downloaded FREE to your computer so that you can make your own CDs for aid in memorization, or you can just listen and sing along as you click on the website.

Each song is word-for-word from the Bible in either King James Version (KJV), New King James Version (NKJV), New American Standard (NASB) or New International Version (NIV).

The scripture melodies aren’t just for children. As we get older, we often find it more difficult to memorize, but we still find ourselves singing those advertising jingles we didn’t even realize we were hearing! We do learn what we hear and especially what we sing!

We frequently add new sheet music and recordings to the website. If you would like to know when something new is available, please contact us at scripturemelodies@bellsouth.net. We promise not to send junk email and we will never share your email address with others.

Christmas is coming!

For most of you, that means a time of celebrating the birth of Jesus.

Others recognize that He probably wasn’t born on December 25

and choose not to participate in the holiday.

Whatever your conviction about Christmas,

His coming is something to celebrate!

Whenever you choose to remember the birth of Jesus,

we would love to share our sheet music,

coloring pages and MP3s of "The Story of Jesus' Birth."

Luke 2:1-20 sheet music is available in KJV and NKJV.

MP3s are available for both KJV and NKJV.

Coloring pages are available for all 20 verses.

The coloring pages were drawn by our friend Allison Sowell.

She designed these pages to be combined to form a “Story of Jesus’ Birth” coloring book, featuring the words from the NKJV.

A Good Thing

"He who finds a wife finds a good thing

and obtains favor from the Lord."

Proverbs 18:22, NASB

This verse challenges me to be the kind of wife

that my husband considers to be a good thing!

And, even more importantly,

it encourages me to walk closely with the Lord,

yielding myself to Him,

allowing Him to make me into the woman,

the good thing, he wants me to be!

This verse may not seem to be a good memory verse for children,

but it's good for them to have a healthy view of marriage.

Our sons need to know that "he who finds a wife finds a good thing,"

and our daughters need to know that it is a good thing to be a wife.

Be joyful always!

Be joyful always!

That's the simple message of 1 Thessalonians 5:16.

Here's the verse in its context:

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances,

for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, NIV

Joy is different from happiness. Joy is not dependent on our circumstances.

It is possible to be full of joy ALWAYS--no matter how great or how awful

our circumstances seem to be.

We CAN be joyful, we CAN give thanks,

because our Father can be trusted to accomplish His will

in our lives--in all circumstances.
