The 2011 USSSA Basketball Championship Series is a network of over 500 basketball tournaments throughout the Country. We start with local tournaments that lead to Regional, State, and National Championships.

USSSA Basketball is a National Organization and in 2011 we anticipate having 10,000 teams, insuring 150,000 players, and 4,000 coaches, Sanction 550 tournaments, including 20 Regional Championships, 20 State Championships, and 7 National Championships.

Team P.R.E.P. - Looking for Players

This spring and summer we are putting together travel teams and doing fundamental clinics throughout San Diego County. Our travel teams will be called Team P.R.E.P which stands for (Preparing Respectful Educated Players) we are going back to just teaching the fundamentals while having the kids play and compete hard. We want to help all our kids get into colleges/universities as well as anyone for that matter in any way we can. We want them to be respectful, have great character and learn how one day give back to their immediate communities while they continue on to their professional careers. Our players will be required to be volunteering at organization such as the Ronald Mc Donald House, Polisky Center and the San Diego Center for Children. We will ask to see kid’s grades and help them if they require tutoring. We want to be able to help send kids on college trips to learn about the visiting process and help with the SAT/ACT test.

Team P.R.E.P stands for Preparing Respectful Educated Players

You have been selected to participate with the Team P.R.E.P for the upcoming 2010 spring and summer travel basketball club season. The travel teams will compete in the biggest and highest profile sanctioned basketball events in the United States, where universities and college coaching staffs are in attendance. Team P.R.E.P goal is to provide student athletes with the exposure necessary to gain an opportunity to pursue a higher education. We are geared toward assisting student athletes of all cultural backgrounds both academically and athletically. We also want to provide an environment for each athlete to develop and maximize their individual skills, and develop the spirit of sportsmanship and giving back.

While we cannot guarantee scholarships will be offered, we will use accurate information to promote the student athlete. Elite Basketball Organization has a rich history of helping student athletes make the transition from high school to college and beyond. Being a part of the P.R.E.P program requires commitment, time, effort, and financial resources. The training, exposure and experiences that your kids will receive will be very beneficial and well worth the investment.

San Diego Sol – The Largest Youth Basketball Club For Boys & Girls in the County –

to Hold Open Tryouts in March For New Spring Basketball Teams

Numerous former players have taken their game to the next level and joined

the college ranks through the guidance of full-time coaching staff!

What: San Diego Sol, started in 2002, is an all encompassing premier basketball club in the greater San Diego area and is holding open tryouts at three San Diego County locations for teams from 4^th Grade to High School. San Diego Sol’s top flight coaches provide the proven guidance to take top players to the next level as well as teach targeted fundamentals training for beginning basketball players. San Diego Sol provides basketball opportunities for athletes of all abilities and skill levels. The focused year-round basketball program allows the Sol’s full-time dedicated coaches to work with athletes who want to be well-rounded in life and on the basketball court. Nearly all of the coaches are former college players and many have also played professionally.

Sol’s program provides quality training opportunities for athletes to improve their basketball skills and to empower them to use the lessons they've learned on the court to their everyday lives. These lessons include the principles of discipline, perseverance, teamwork and the pursuit of excellence. Each participant will learn character, commitment and competition.

San Diego Sol Basketball Club will host tryouts at three locations so families can choose the location most convenient to them.

Jets Basketball Club Looking For 5-8th graders

The Jets program is a youth San Diego Basketball Club team. We play in competitive leagues on the weekends and practice twice a week at a brand new facility, Miramar College Fieldhouse.

Our aim is to create the premier competitive basketball team in San Diego, simultaneously having the most positive, fun and hardworking neighborhood basketball program.

The Jets Basketball Club is the only club team in San Diego that is coached by current college coaches.

We intend to create future stars at the High School level and beyond and we teach our players to be leaders on their team and in the community. Academics, teamwork, fundamentals and discipline are cornerstones of the program. The coaching staff has a proven track record of making players competent and confident in their games.

If you want to try out, just call Coach Brian to set up a date on either Tuesday or Thursday to come for an evaluation from 3:30-5 at Miramar.
