Come join the excitement in Placencia and dive with the whale sharks at the Gladden Spit during the 2010 season. Whale Sharks are the gentle giants of the sea, slow filter feeding sharks they are the largest living fish species. Each year, during the full moon period in the months of March, April, May, and June there are migrations to the Gladden Spit, an area outside the reef about 29 miles

This Juvinaile Whale Shark  missed the feeding frenzy at Gladden Split, and is so hungry that he is harassing  the divers for their bubbles. He thinks it's eggs from the spawning snapper.
