They call her Clara or "Goo-Goo". She can also say "Clara" now when you ask her her name. Clara calls Madison "Nanny" (we think she is trying to say Maddy). Clara calls Danielle "Nell" and Laurel "LoLo". She is starting to remember more names and faces. She loves her Nana and Papa, and Uncle Markeee (Uncle Marcus).

Blog Entry for Madison: 8 Year Check Up

Today Madison had her 8 year check up. She is 50 inches tall (about 50th percentile for height) and weighs 54.8 lbs (about 30%). She gained about 6 pounds in this past year. Her blood pressure and heart rate are in normal ranges. Madison is very healthy. She occasionally has a bit of a cough and blinks her eyes a bit - which could either be allergies or a little bit of a tick (which is common in 1st-3rd graders). Madison only needs to see the doctor every 2 years now and didn't need any shots.

Blog Entry for Danielle: Girl Scout Cookie Presales

Danielle recently became a Girl Scout Daisy and is really looking forward to selling cookies. She is doing it individually as her troop hasn't gotten started yet. Danielle is really excited to go and ask everyone to buy cookies and door to door. She is so darn cute that people have a hard time telling her "no". Danielle watched Madison sell cookies last year and started doing sales with her sister in our neighborhood right as presales started. She was cute saying "1 box of cookie for $4 or 5 boxes for 20 cents" (instead of $20). She is so cute and is learning some great selling skills quickly. We are really proud of her. Even though it is just her first year selling Danielle wants to earn a patch, bandana and Giraffe Plush. She would also love to get the Giraffe Bag and Cookie Dough (for Girl Scout Camp). So far Danielle has presold 155 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies!

Blog Entry for Madison: Girl Scout Cookie Presales

Madison has been working really hard this month at preselling Girl Scout Cookies. She was happy to go out through our neighborhood and try to sell them with her little sister, Danielle. Madison is trying to earn the Giraffe Plush, patch, and bandana. She would also like to earn extra to get the Giraffe bag and cookie dough (money for Girl Scout camp). So far Madison has sold 146 boxes of cookies and her first goal is 155 boxes of cookies. She also plans to do site sales to help sell more cookies.

Blog Entry for Laurel: Here comes Trouble

Today while big sisters, Madison & Danielle, were out at a birthday party - Laurel was suppose to be taking quiet room time with Daddy and her little sister. Instead Daddy went in to check on a weird sound he heard from Madison's room. Daddy walked in and found Clara reading a Dora book quietly and Laurel was ripping out pages from her sister's books. All in all she ripped the title pages out of about 13 chapter books. Big sisters were not very happy that she wrecked their books. She went into time out, and had to do extra chores around the house, in addition to telling her sisters she was sorry.

Blog Entry for Madison: Great Wolf Lodge

Madison enjoyed our family trip to the Great Wolf Lodge. She was super excited to go exploring through the Qwest Adventure with Daddy and friend Kyra - and she even defeated the dragon. She also went on all of the big slides and rides. She loved the Whirling Tornado. She was fearless going down them and running back up the stairs to do it again. She was pretty independent with exploring the water park on her own this trip.

Blog Entry for Madison: Untraditional Birthday

We woke up for an interesting surprise on Madison's birthday - no power in our house and no school due to a huge snow storm that hit the area that week. So we celebrated with the light from the windows as Madison opened her gifts. We ate cupcakes that Mom had made for her class party (that we didn't get to celebrate until the following week). That evening Madison got to run out with Daddy to get some gas for the generator and warm up. During the day wasn't so bad because we had lots of toys to play with and lots of sunlight - however later in the evening it got challenging. Our power was out for 36 hours total.

On Saturday Madison and Mommy went to pick out a cake at the store (since we didn't have power to bake one) and then came home and decorated it ourselves. Madison had a party at The Little Gym. She was so excited that her friends - Kyra H, Kira S, Brenna, Tessa, Kayla, Emma S and Isabella came to celebrate. They played fun games like Hide N Seek, Cheese

Blog Entry for Danielle: Sledding

Today Mommy took Madison and Danielle to go sledding at Petrovitsky Park. They have some nice hills to go down. There were a number of other people sledding down the hill already. Danielle was a bit shy at first so Mommy and Danielle went down together. Danielle closed her eyes going down most of the time. After the first time she was hooked and wanted to do it again and again. She would run back up the hill and be ready to go again. It was pretty cold and rainy when we went so we were all soaking wet. Madison was very excited to try it, but when we got there her nerves kicked in and she was scared about going down the hill. She went down a few times but was pretty slow at committing to go down the hill. She enjoyed it a few times. We were pretty cold and wet (raining). Finally when we were about to leave Madison didn't want to go - she wanted to sled more.

Blog Entry for Madison: Snowball Fight

Today Madison, Danielle and her friend Kayla had a snowball fight with the boys next door over our fence.
