SF ARTIST LOOKING FOR EXCHANGE WITH SEATT

My name is Marilyn and I live in San Francisco in a dynamic 14 person arts live / work collective called Million Fishes. I will be in Seattle from July 22 - 26 visiting with a friend. I am looking to stay in with artists during my brief time in Seattle (4 nights / 5 days). In exchange I am offering an amazing place to stay (my live / work arts space in the Mission District of San Francisco) whenever that artist wants to come here.

Ideally, I would love to do an exchange: I stay with the artist(s) free of charge, and they stay with me free of charge. I would be willing to offer funds if that is necessary however.

A little about me: I am a musician studying blues piano and a songwriter. I teach computer skills at City College of San Francisco and BAVC and have a daily yoga practice.

Need large artwrk STAT!

hello there! I am the art director for a locally owned, high traffic, and award winning massage therapy clinic located in N. Seattle close to Greenlake. I am looking for another artist to help me fill some of my wall space as soon as possible as the two artists that are up there now aren't quite filling the space needed. Looking for med- large art, paintings or mixed media or perhaps photography. NEEDS TO BE MASSAGE APPROPRIATE, meaning no nudes, dark works, or anything that would set you on edge. Pieces that are colorful, health oriented or happy and virbrant preferred (meaning no still lifes of things like.. cars for example) NEED TO FILL WALL SPACE ASAP! So please some me your info and your online gallery and I will get back to you if interested. Oh the best part? Art will be staying up for at least 3 months, and we take ZERO comission, and yes our artists have sold works from the exposure in our clinic :)

Ballard Restaurant seeks artist for show

The Hi-Life is searching for an artist with multiple pieces of art to hang for our next festival menu, featuring cuisine inspired by the Columbia River Gorge and or summer scenes in Washington. We're looking for fun summer art to adorn the walls and celebrate the sunshine and warm weather.

The dining room that will display the art is located to the right of the bar, a cozy space perfect for a show of a single artist's work. The artist must have 6 - 8 pieces that work in the room's 14-foot ceilings with these dimensions:

Two pieces for 18"-wide spaces
One piece for 24"-wide space
One piece for 30"-wide space
One piece for 36"-wide space
One large or 2-3 small pieces for 8' 8"-wide space

We're also seeking a 34"-wide framed piece to go above our pantry.

The art needs to be available for the length of the festival menu, approximately 12 weeks. The date to hang is Tuesday, June 16th, and the take-down day is Sunday, September 13th. Our preference is that the art remains in place throughout the term of the show, though we will be open to an appropriate, approved substitution. The Hi-Life will not take commission on any sales. All wall surfaces are brick, and we have all required hanging hardware and appropriate track lighting. Feel free to stop in and take a look.

Entry is open to all artists with original works created within the last two years and not previously shown at the Arts Council Gallery. Open to artists in oil, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, photography, three-dimensional and other. A 35% commission will be charged for all items sold. Cash prizes and honorable mentions.
